Just finished my fourth oil change on mine... mess in the cross member for the fourth time. Found your video... What happened to the days when truck manufactures placed the oil filter upside down. Designed to make a mess? Don't want us putting oil in the new filter prior to install to protect the motor? GEESH! Anyway, thanks for the tip brother!
@@tims_4x4_garage I just switched to the Wix 57060xp. I bought a package of two of them for less than the price of one Mopar. HA. I also switched to Amsoil. I bought 14 quarts and their "preferred customer" plan and it wasn't too much more than other oils. I want to see if my engine sounds the same after 4000 miles (my oil change interval) as it does with Pennzoil.
Yup, this was spot on. I just changed the oil on a relative's work truck today and I kept this in mind and the mess was kept to a minimum.
I clamped a funnel up to it, solved the oil dripping everywhere
Just bought a 2022 getting ready to change the oil for the first time. Thanks for the tip, I’m new to Ram and the 6.4

No mess next time at least. What filter are you using? I’ve had best luck with the wix 57060xp
