Vi, I don't know how you can consistently make ideas so fun, but my biggest hats go off to you from the bottom of my heart. I don't think it's a stretch to say that you're inspiring a whole bunch of prospective and existing teachers, mathematicians, musicians, and mathemusicians to fall in love with their innate childlike wonder and creativity, and I can only speak for myself when I say thank you for that. YES!!! I loooove Shepard tones, I can't believe you finally made a video about this phenomenon!
Did you guys know that Shepard tones were used in Silent Hills P.T.? I recognized them immediately when the part with the red lights and the staring frames started. Shepard tones are naturally unsettling because you can't really *grasp* the nature of their sound. They sound haunting and unnatural, and that's what makes them so awesome. I always have lots of fun when trying to Shepard-ize stuff in Audacity (which is actually pretty easy).

I first produced Shepard tone effect back in 83 and have always like it ( especially combined with beat oscillation when produced by programmed early synth freq oscillators meh I'm sad like that)

um no offense, but I have no idea what the words are. like I'm not even convinced you are saying words. I'm sure this is very cool but it sort of feels like you sacrificed content/signal/accessibility/intelligibility for cool noise, especially because there aren't closed captions?
