Absolutely unbelievable. Transformed the bike. I had no idea just how bad the stock US street legal map was.... All of my complaints about off idle performance, low RPM flameout, and hard start in the cold just vanished. Well done Mike. Knocked it out of the park on this one.
Installed mine today! It fixed the 6th gear pinging I was getting from running 15/45 gearing. I can run down the freeway at 80 mph here in Utah all day without worrying about to much engine wear. 2023 KTM 500
Thanks for this video, definitely helped out! One thing that made setting up the wireless access a bit more confusing for me is that the app / wireless module wouldn't stay connected between sessions where I was trying to do the setup. Each time , I'd look at the instructions and then turn the bike back on and open the app, I needed to go to my phone internet connection setting and reconnect the Athena module. Once I realized that, I'd be sure to do a manual wireless reconnect on my phone and then go back to do my set up wirelessly. Prior to installing this ECU, I had an end cap and a power commander unit o richen the mix up and the bike ran much much better than stock. With that mod, front end would come up a bit when gassing it hard in 1 - 3 gears and also got rid of engine flame outs. With the new ECU and the same end cap the bike runs noticeably stronger , for example , I can definitely tell that the front end comes up much easier in the first 3 gears. The power commander module is still a good buy for someone looking to get the bike to run better than stock and fixes the flameout issues but this ECU is another step up if you can afford it.
2 questions... 1. Does the GET ECU need/use the OEM O2 Sensor? 2. Is the GET map switch just on/off. I don't want to crowd my cockpit with that big switch just for map changes. I'd rather have a small rocker or dial selector switch where it doesn't take up cockpit real estate.
Map switch is not on/off. It is map 1 or 2 and either is always on. You do not need to use or install the switch for it to work. You can select map 1 or 2 using wifi.
I live in Europe, can I just buy the SX1 from a local dealer and load the Taco moto maps on it? Or how does this work if I want the SX1 to work well for trail riding?
Hey I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer... did I miss what to do with the EXP leads? To the battery? (my application is with the y cable/wifi/traction control)
Mike I appreciate your making this video and all of the input you give this community. Long time follower and purchaser of your superior products. I have installed the SX1GET ecu on my 2022 EXCF 500 per your instructions here in this video. However I am not clear on setting the idle speed. I did as you directed to turn in the idle screw 4 full turns in. Once that was done I fired up the bike and it ran/idled at 4800 rpm which seems way out of spec. Can you give the RPM that we are shooting for? Also, I am not clear on how to adjust the idle with the ECU GET app. Please explain.
Installed my Taco Moto SX1 GET ecu yesterday on a new '24 500 EXC-F six days with wifi module and traction control knob. Video was indispensable but also made it sooo easy. Setting the idle speed in the final step with the GET app was pretty cool. Waiting for the rain to stop so I can go ride. @tacomotoco A 4-way accessory cable splitter was also included in the box that the install video did not mention, what is that used for, or rather, what can it be used for?
I installed the SX1 ECU on a 2023 KTM 500. When I try setting up the Wi-Fi module I can connect to the network but it will not import my bike on the app. I notice I have a solid green light not flashing. Apparently I’m doing something wrong.
I’m having my battery die after bike sits for a day. I just went straight to battery. Should I buy a wake up dongle too or wire the ecu to the key switch ?
Wanting to get one for my new 450RL. Currently I have the stock pipe but would eventually put on a Yoshi or similar. When I purchase the ECU I’m assuming I would select stock exhaust but how do I get it updated when I decide to get the aftermarket exhaust? Is that done without having to send the ECU back to you?
Hey Guys where do I download the file for a graves slip on I bought the ecu from my local store they said I should be able to load the preset into it ?
I'm looking to get this for my 2023 FE501s, I want to use it with an fmf Q4 exhaust to keep it quiet. Will the Q4 be too restrictive causing it to run poorly or will I just lose a couple hp?
How does the GPA dynamic traction control work without any wheel speed sensor on the map 2 setting for the 2022 KTM 500 EXC-F 4-stroke RX1 PRO, and is map 1 setting still full power and map 2 setting still soft power?
@@TACOMOTOCO Is the key supposed to be on or off during this? I get we bypass the OBD2 to get power to the ECU, but I’m unsure if my key should be on or off.
If you want to route the wires in a clean manner then yes. It’s one bolt in the tank, a quick disconnect of the fuel line, and a quick disconnect of a wire housing.

Love it. Hear things like this all the time. Keep us posted on how well it does for you in the gnar gnar
Considering the 15/45 gearing myself. How's the 15/45 treat you off road? Ok to pop the front end up over obstacles and hill climbing?
@@adventuremulemoto I use a rekluse clutch so it doesn't really matter what my gearing is. Yes, I can do hard endro stuff if I have to.
Excited waiting for mine to ship🤘🏼, can’t wait to see the difference from stock
Great video!! Will definitely be watching again for my install.
Nice video! Why do you need to adjust the idle screw on install? Can you not just use the standard factory setting? Thx
This shows the factory repair manual method
Just took my bike for a ride after installing the new GET. WOW! Feels like a totally different bike now

Hey Happy New Year. Just wondering I noticed the Get is available for the 2013-2016 Ktm 500s again? I missed my chance last time hope its real
nice one Mike! cant wait to GET one for myself

Great timing for this video. Mine should be here in the mail any day now.
Sweet. Keep us posted
I'd really love to see a solution for Wifi Module mounting on Husqvarna's. There are zero flat surfaces in that air box area. So annoying
Is there not an area around the ECU where you can tuck it in?
Thanks! Looking forward to receiving mine!
We’re looking forward to it too 🤘🏽

At the 8:20 mark you say you can adjust your idle in the app. Does it have a setting? Or do you adjust the red knob while reading the app? Thanks!
Do you have an updated video for the LED map switch
Great and informative video. When is the 2024 500 EXC going to be in the app?
Shouldn’t be much longer
is it in the app yet?
@@SC-ui8dh I already bought one and they just have you use last years bike. Works awesome!! Amazing AF!!

Idle on that bike is 1800-1900 measured on a hot engine, the app only shows engine data on the green WiFi modules

So how it works on your '24 exc 500? Traction control really work? I got same bike and im looking at this ECU too. Thank u mate!

Take a look at the steps again in the app and try again
My GET sx-1, 500 exc-f did not have the "heartbeat" yellow LED as well but communicated and paired anyway.

As is indicated, the ecu power cord is used then removed for ecu power for programming only
Installing on 23 KTM 500 EXC.... Ordered the kit with the LED Map switch. With this kit does anything plug into the EXP plug on the ECU?
Question. I have the EU ktm 500 excf 2023. Is my standard map sufficient for a dvr exhaust? Or is the eu map also lean?
How does the single track map compare to stock power wise? Similar power but smoother, better delivery?
Do I need to order the Tachometer to properly set the idle speed? is there a way to monitor via the wifi unit and phone app?

I like the added features but not enough for the upgrade but for someone with stick ecu I'd get the new model over rx1
Does the wifi module on my Rx1 work with the new Sx1 or would i have to get a new module?
They aren’t swappable

When I do the TPS on my 2014 I get -2% when my throttle is closed and 100% with my throttle opened. This is after calibrating. Is this ok?
How many horsepower will this increase for a 2023 husq Fe 350s
Is this compatible with the 350 as well? The description on the site makes it sound like it’s only for the 500s
What kind of benefits/gains would I be looking at on a 22 xcf250?
Is it compatible with factory map/tc switch on KTM 450?
Negative
