Why would you say at the beginning of the video that you don't like the putter yet praise it all the way through the video? Trying to see serious reviews on LAB putters yet this seemed more like click bait and became an AD for LAB Golf....
It's funny how we can spend $500 on a driver but have a hard time spending $ 500 on a putter (both are all overpriced). Even though we use the putter the most!
I just got fitted for this bad boy. I hit 17 10-footers in a row. I need help with my set up and keeping the head straight. It was a perfect fit. Can't wait to get mine.
Pete. How does the Accra shaft feel compare to the BGT Stability Tour? Any difference in stability? Also, according to LAB the Accra shaft weighs 140g and the BGT weighs 102g.
I have the Mez 1 ...originally it had the standard steel shaft and it was AMAZING but I thought, "surely it could be even better with one of the fancy graphite shafts!" WRONG!! I sent it back to LAB for the white ACCRA , it looked stunning BUT I lost massive amounts of feel and forgiveness. 😔 Flame me if you must but it's true. I will be selling it and re-buying a one with the standard steel shaft! Golf 🙄
messing with the weight of the putter is not recommended, they build the putter for your custom lie angle balance if you add weight or mess with the screws it is no longer is evenly balanced and then wants to close or open like a regular putter. It feels lighter because of the even balance, it is however heavier than most putters. The Accra shaft for example weighs more than the LA Golf and BGT shaft.
Very cool review, thanks. I have the Mezz 1 in 35/69* with the steel shaft. I really like it. I have never been a fan of graphite shafts on a putter, unless is an Odyssey Lab Stroke shaft which I really like, and have on my Toulon Garage putters. I'm looking forward to your opinion on the steel shaft version. I also feel that the powder coating is kind of suspect in the long run, so use that headcover or that finish is going to suffer. Thanks again!
The only drawback on the Mezz is that you can’t exchange the putter alignment option on the putter. Just make sure you’re happy with your original one.
Suggestion. You can pull the grip back about an inch or so, then drill the hole and put tungsten putty in that hole. That is what I am going to do to counterweight the putter.
Hello Peter, would you go with the mezz 1 or the mezz 1 max? Do they feel the same to you in terms of softness? Im torn between the two and your input would be very helpful. I do think I prefer the look of the mezz 1 but if the max is that much better I might have to just lean that way
Great question! Of course, this is a personal preference thing... however, having had both, I like the MAX more. It is slightly larger, which I thought I'd hate, but it seems MUCH more stable... even over the Mezz regular which was incredibly stable. It seems to just putt straight no matter what. I love it! Personally, I like smaller lighter heads... the link is great, and I love the shape and feel... but there's no question that I putt best with the Max. Hope that helps!

I literally owned almost every putter and style out there. The one putter that blew my mind was the Honu putter. I don’t know exactly what it is, it has the most pure roll. I think because the face is kinda tall almost 2in. You hit the center of the equator of the ball every time. Most odyssey or modern day putter face are only 1in tall. U see people skip or hop their putt bc they didn’t hit the equator of the ball every time. And the honu putter is face balanced and 0 torque rotation.
I have a Honu also. Yes, they're awesome at getting the ball rolling without jumping, skipping, etc. But for some reason, I tend to close the face. Tried the LAB and it straightened out immediately on almost every putt. Don't know why. Maybe just a placebo effect. Would hate to spend$500-$900 only for the issue to come back
@@journeyman291 honu putter the shaft throws a lot of people off. I have seen honu owners had shaft straight in front of them. The ball is literally club width in front of middle. Some has the ball at middle the shaft slant so far to the right can cause your mind to shut the face early. I adjusted my ball position. Ever since it’s been straight sailing.
I have a Mezz1 with an Accra shaft and a Mezz1 Max with the LA Golf shaft. To be perfectly honest, I can't say that the LA Golf shaft was an improvement over the Accra shaft. I don't think that it was worth the difference in cost.

Waited a long time for the delivery of my DF LAB putter. Best thing I've ever done for my putting. Worth the wait and $$
I got the Mezz 1 two weeks ago. Keeping my grip lite made the big difference let the putter do it’s thing. I love it !!
Mine only took 2 weeks custom ordered. Just got my MEZZ 1 max custom today!

1/4 bolt flat head 6" wrap with lead tape. No drilling pull the grip first!
Kinda incorrect. I put a gravity grip on my blad.1 and it spins the same and keeps the toe up hang as normal. Give it a shot. Hope you enjoy
You can wrap lead tape underneath the grip to add counter weight

I did it based on my own specs. I actually used a similar process to theirs, measuring my lie angle against a doorway.
