Are you guys excited that we get to play Resident Evil 7 on the PS5? Also what are your thoughts on Marguerite Baker?
Hey Hey DeVuH
Awesome
Nice
I would be, but I just got the quest2 so im gonna be in Leon Land for a long while
wait a f min how a baby doll become alive and scary go a head explain
Seeing the Baker family as a normal family pre-infection is so sad. They just wanted to help the surviors of the wreck.
You're absolutely right, it was just an unfortunate situation that they were dealt with. Also thanks for watching!!!
Even good has consequences
This game drove home the point that the real monsters are the people who create the bioweapons more than any in the series because you get a personal view of the suffering they cause to normal people
@@colinmx. It goes "No good deed goes unpunished"
Besides Lucas
That comment between Joe and Marguerite about them starting a bed and breakfast is just so cute.... then heartbreaking considering what happens next.
Exactly, that small detail shows how nice they were and that they were just a regular family who happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time
You mean jack and Marguerite
Ironic given that every person they took in resulted in anything but what regular bed and breakfast places provide.
I honestly felt so bad for Marguerite. She actually held off Eveline a few times to the point where she was able to leave the house to go to the doctor because she wasn’t “feeling well”. But unfortunately she couldn’t recall what happened at the house because of amnesia while possessed by Evie.
When the bugs infested her genitals (Marguerite)? That was Evelyn punishing her.
@@adaminflux oh for real?
@@hazard04 Yup, what the person above said is confirmed in some letters from a doctor and later from Marguerite's diary found in the room where you find the broken shotgun.
@@Woodsey__ I’m so dumb I thought it was meant for the old eveline before I knew she was eveline
Unlike Lucas this one can’t really be considered an “Explaining evil” episode since Jack and Margaret we’re not actually evil, just possessed and driven insane. Jack even expressed regrets for what he did and what he became.
it’s strange that lucas did not affect evelyn’s mind control
lucas always being a bad seed the whole time
he’ immune but he prefers become evil
cuz he choose this
@@joshuagraham2843 Lucas WAS under her control but was given a cure that enabled him regain full control while keeping the “gift”
@@kingvon0125 wouldn't it be the stronger form of the serum, like the one given to mia that allowed her to partially resist the influence of eveline.
to my knowledge the serum doesn't cure the person it merely removes the side effect of being servant to eveline.
That wasp nest in her genital area was just a surprise. It caught me so off guard. All of these of bugs living, eating, reproducing inside her. That sounds like straight suffering.
Exactly, it was unsettling to see something like that
one of the most unnerving body horrors i've ever seen
@@godisjihyo3615 Yes and then she even births more nests on the walls during the bossfight with the most delightfull of sound-effects!
I guess the rotten food comes from there
makes you wish any damage done do them via normal means such as guns didn't get healed in an instant
Marguerite was such a sweet woman. She was so caring and loving. But the mold messed with her. Yet she still tries to be caring, in a sick and twisted way.
Marguerite's boss form is genuinely one of, if not the most terrifying I've ever seen in a video game. It's so blatantly disturbing and unsettling; I was beyond disgusted when I saw it for the first time. Like, I physically and verbally recoiled from it. I have a hard time even looking at her that way. Pure, 100% definition of nightmare fuel, as far as I'm concerned.
Yes Her mutated form was definitely a terrifying thing to see, especially as someone who has fear of spiders
She was freaky, but the whole idea behind Lisa Trevor and William Birkin mutations are also messed up. With RE2 remake, you can actually see in details just how painful and agonizing each Birkin mutation actually was. It's kinda freaky how his human face remains in first 2-3 phases.
@@HeYDeVuH I'm not even that scared of bugs, but christ, I will never look at a wasp nest the same way again.
Jack and Marguerite were good people with warm hearts. Seeing their the twisted versions of themselves is truely heartbreaking.
Marguerite was once a kind and gentle mother and then she turned into this evil queen bee monstronsity.
Anyway, I truely enjoyed your video. Your content keeps getting better and better. Keep it up and I can’t wait to see the other Bakers explained.
It's so sad knowing that she went from a good, caring mother to "southern fried Annie Wilkes."
Also, about Marguerite retaining some personality traits, Jack does imply that it's not necessarily possession but rather that the Mold drove them crazy to control them. It's also notable that Jack has moments showing bits and pieces of his original self, such as grieving over Marguerite during his final boss fight, showing that he still cares for his family in some capacity.-
Eveline having Marguerite give Clancy mouldy food was probably her warped idea of being "nice" and inviting him to join her "family."
That scene with Zoe and Marguerite is heartbreaking. The way that she's basically sacrificing herself and tell Zoe to run before anything happens to her is just so sad
There is something scarily adorable watching Marguerite smile in excitement and anticipation as Ethan "compliments" her cooking 😭
*Edit:* it was a footage crew member, I gratefully stand corrected!
Yeah I loved the way she was so hospitable even when she was infected with the Mold lol
That wasn't Ethan. That was one of the people from the camera crew.
@@Esiaa Yeah, it was The cameraman, I think his name is Clancy
@@Esiaa Thank you! 😃 I graciously stand corrected!
Mrs.Baker gives me Misery vibes. And what's even more creepy is the fact that this happens more often then we think in real life minus the actual bugs but as a metaphor its perfect.
The Mold strain clearly brings out the anger & aggression is whomever it infects, if it's able to the turn her into a Psychopath so quickly. What's puzzling is Evelyn. Can she increase the rate of the mold's infection?
From the information given its suggested that the mold has a mind of its own and decides the limits of its users power. Evelyn is extremely young so she probably doesn't know every extent of her powers, though keep in mind she's sadistic and likes to see people suffer. Knowing that as well as knowing that someone can resist the infection my guess is that she can increase the rate of the infection but only to a certain point.
@@babygurleatsshickennuggits4201 i agree with that, we see she is able to change the physical state and bodily features of someone, however it seems like the psychopath part of it is a consequence instead of something Evelyn intended to happen
"Well that's special"
That line was the game pauser for me 🤣🤣
Ethan had some really funny lines in both RE7 and Village LOL
"I'll feed you to my babies and fertilize the garden with what was left!"
That line was fucking hilarious.
Okay cuck 😆 that line was wack af 🤓
The only thing that bugs me about the Bakers is that Lucas locked a boy up in the attic space to starve until there was a OBVIOUSLY decomposition. So did Lucas expertly clean it up and dispose of the remains? Or did Jack and Marguerite cover it up ? How did they not notice the smell? Does anybody else think about this?
I do, I wonder about that kid more than I should. And what do you do about weird stuff coming through the ceiling???
@@karabartley yes! It just seems like something the parents SHOULD notice
I would lean on more on the fact that he Cleaned it up before his Parents noticed. I couldn't imagine a normal Jack and marguerite cover up such a vile thing that Lucas did.
@@HeYDeVuH yea he is technically a genius so I guess he could have figured it out
I think it could be the kid in the little room, but Evelyn and Lucas dressed it up. And put d-series arm on it
“Not hillbillies, The Bakers” has got to be one of the most upsetting lines once you finish the game and go back
It is clear that the bakers were respected by their community which does make what happened to them more tragic everyone they knew lost two people they cared about in ways they couldn't imagine
The saddest part of the story is that Jack, Marguerite and Zoe were sweet natured people, that fell under Evelyn's "spell" Lucas on the other hand, showed signs of psychopathic disorder even before Evie came into their lives
The two stories are actually one, the the first night is when Evelyn took control but during that DLC you see they relapse several times to their older selves , she did not have full control yet, Zoe herself says that for several months they lived like one moment her perants are crazy the next they are normal I would assume the doctor visits were during the normal mornings.
The line near the end of the game where you see the bakers normal and non infected telling Ethan to save their famil caught me off guard I was crying
5:08 Makes you wonder if the mould spread further into Louisiana after RE7 and infected her doctor.
That would be crazy if it did spread beyond the Baker Residence
I honestly don't see why it couldn't considering the game takes place in a now swampy most likely. disease-infested shithole with plenty of room to mutate and spread.
8:33 Marguerite reacting like Annie Wilkes in Misery when she found out her ceramic penguin had been moved.
That's exactly who she reminded me of
I personally found her antics & constant cussing a bit hilarious
The entire bakers family was a tragedy regardless
But her antics & cussing always had me chuckle
Yeah the over reactions to the small things really amped up the moments LOL
Marguerite was probably one of the one's I felt the most pity for, alongside what she was like beforehand I would think still she knew of that one kid that Lucas trapped in the Attic and still shown sympathy towards her son in the end. But with the insanity caused by the infection, it really twisted a sweet mother into something malicious and inhumane.
Her ability to be anywhere in the shack just keeps you on your toes and is a good challenge worth fighting again and again! 😌
1:40 if i remember correctly, Eveline was not created with the intention of spreading the e-series mold strain to general public. She was created with the intention of being a war weapon and win battles without fighting by infiltrating armys.
That picture in the corner really brought the room together.
I felt especially bad for Marguerite...she seemed like a person who would've done everything for her family and then she ended up like this insect monster...
With Resident Evil, I never realize just how dark some of these villains stories are. I think two of the creepiest ones for me were Lisa Trevor and Alexander Ashford because they were both experiments that were locked up. When you first encounter them, all you hear is an ominous moan and growl.
RE7 was the most terrifying scariest game ever. It was scarier than RE8. The tall lady, the daughters, the werewolves, etc didn't have that same horror feel aspect that I had with RE7. The dollhouse was great, but nothing compared to Jack hunting after you and just the house atmosphere. Sad that RE players ruined and influenced Capcom to tone down the horror aspect experience for RE8 and future games to come just because RE7 was too scary for them.
It was scarier. But to me 8 is more fun
7 legitimately scared me. Especially Jack. Man was a violent psychopath
8 was Castlevania as an FPS lol.
Yeah they cried and moan, that it wasn’t there resident evil.
10:09 Ethan: "Wtf? That's special..."
When I first did a blind playthrough of Resident Evil 7, I was honestly dying at how calm, collected, and casual Ethan's tone was here, considering that there was the mutated spider version of Marguerite army crawling a couple of feet in front of him. I would've lost it right then and there if I witnessed that sh*t. 😂
And then there’s Re8 Ethan.
Your cuts on this video had me ROLLING. 😂
Thank You, happy you found it funny LOL
Marguerite is definitely the most creepy member of the Baker family, she showed me what terrible power she had and that literally scared me, as the story went on she became more dangerous with each encounter, she started to mutate with each encounter up until her final fight as a boss, Marguerite mutated into a spider human monster B.O.W that could crawl up walls and hang on the ceiling, she will attack you with various bug's, insect's, bee swarm's, spider webs, and can attack you herself, her weakness is the spider like hive between her legs, do enough damage and she will fall and give you the last part you need to make the mold antidote, later on in the game you meet Jack Baker in a mind connection and tells you that his family is innocent, all accept for Lucas Baker who was evil all along, this was all Eveline's doing and infected the baker's with the Mold and wanting a "Family" was what she wanted to have, Jack tells Ethan to save the Baker family from Eveline and stop her for good, Ethan did manage to kill Eveline and keep her from causing more harm to innocent people, I really didn't care about Marguerite Baker at first I thought she was just insane, but after I learned the truth from Jack Baker in the game that all changed, that the fact the Baker family were just innocent victims of Eveline, so that made me feel better after I did beat Resident Evil 7, thanks for doing an very cool video on the creepiest member of the Baker family Marguerite ✌️
She was so gross. Poor woman. She deserved so much better than what she got, they all did.
Exactly, like you said, the whole family, except maybe Lucas, deserved better
Maragrite was my favorite boss. She was the scariest one by far.
DeVuH I'm really fucking with you my boy you took my jumpcut suggestion to heart and now I'm loving the vids even more bro thanks for listening to the squad.
The one thing I do love about re7 is how they showed the baker's before there infection. And Lucas was the only one who was a piece of shit before.
Exactly, It was a good foundation to show them as a regular family, except Lucas, and that the Mold really twisted them
@@HeYDeVuH Right? The start of the game was really good but then end sucked. But the dlc was great
She like my mom...lovely, kind and scary at the same time...
I feel you bro, its even scarier when She calls you by The full name...
Resident evil 7 is 1 of my most favourite games of all times along with bioshock truly a tragic story for all of the baker family apart from Lucas. Great video keep up the good work :)
Thank You so much and glad you enjoyed the video, also like you, I found Resident Evil 7 amazing. I felt bad for the Baker family, except Lucas as well, they were just victims and was just at the wrong place at the wrong time.
I have been watching your video so far and really enjoy your videos can't wait to see more 👍💯
Marguerites section seas easily the creepiest part of the game for me and her boss fight just flat out disturbing.
Yes for sure, It was creepy to see her crawl everywhere
What if jack and Marguerite are crazier because of their good natures so eveline had to intensify her influence to block out their hearts compared to Lucas who was already psychotic.
Good theory! I’d like to add that I think the parents were more susceptible because they were willfully blind to things (ex: there’s no way they didn’t hear Oliver screaming from the attic and they clearly suspected Lucas had serious issues) and deeply invested in maintaining their family, no matter what, which played right into Eveline’s family obsession.
@Initials LEO yeah definitely like when normal Jack spoke to Ethan about his family not being crazy like come on Jack but I guess no parent wants to accept the fact that their child is a psychotic murderer especially as a kid
Marg definitely helped Re7 get back on track for horror....
That kiss me lover scene hit the mark
🤣💯🤣💯🤣💯🤣💯🤣💯
Ps. ...wonder if there is enough Info on the D series parts for a breakdown video?
I'm currently going through every detail in regards to the Mold and the previous series. I'll try my best to make a good detail and cohesive video in regards to it
I always love and enjoy your excellent videos. keep up the excellent work bro.
Thank You!!!
@@HeYDeVuH your welcome bro.
Just found this channel and it brought back my love of RE lore!
RE7 was near perfect, because it was the telling of a story on how the larger companies like Umbrella or The Connections hurt and destroy ordinary folks who are so removed from large outbreaks like in Raccoon City. This is also why RE4 is great too. These are just simple innocent people affected by the evil of others.
lol dude these are always so great xD thaaaanks devuh
Glad you enjoyed! Thank You
She definitely has the most.. unique power
She really creeped me out when we fought her in her bug form
"Ethan! Please help!"
"No thanks." 😆😆
After being attacked by Mia early in the game I would have said the same thing LOL
@@HeYDeVuH 😆 yeah. Ethan was an idiot, really
She is my favourite from this particular game, so thank you. 💯
That's people that she's serving the captured victims. It's on the refrigerator.
What really gets me is that everyone at least has a few family members or friends that correlate to a Baker family member pre-infection. They show that anyone could’ve been put under those dire circumstances and that they were the unlucky bunch. Having their hospitality taken for granted unknowingly.
Marguerite reminded me a lot of my great aunt(s) and I’d of been pretty bummed if my family fell off the face of the earth and cut contact with us (without any knowledge of why or what they’re doing being completely out of character).
i just finished up playing RE7, and im here to tell you it was an experience ive sorta played the RE games out of order having compleated only number 2, and number 7 with that said in my opinion all of capcoms games are made with thier highest quality, and they make for a wonderful storyline.
The memes kill the serious vibe brother. Love your channel and it’s just my opinion.
Honestly feel bad for the Baker family. Especially when her husband cries out for her when you fight him. You can hear the distress and grief in his voice. Seeing them pre infection you can tell why. They were a nice family and didn't deserve what happened to them. 😢
The baker parents were such good hearted people
Can we All agree that The Baker's got dealt with a 💩Hand And it wasn't jack's Fault
He just wanted to help he couldn't have known that Evelyn Was Dangerous anybody would of done The same
Even in the dlc, during the day, the family was « normal » so she still could have gone to the doctor in the next weeks
Yeah she could've, it was just a sad situation they were put in
Clamsy: Oh i love home cooking
Also Clamsy; [puke sounds]
my favorite villain of all time. i wish there was more of her
Your clips are great just keep it up. Are you going to make a clip about a blue umbrella?
That's a good question, so far I'm trying to dig through more info in regards to the "Nicer" version of Umbrella but so far we lack it.
bad shit always happens to good people.
margurite is one of my favorite characters and i realy feel bad for her and her family
Awesome video mate but do a video about ada wong kindly.😁😁😁🤗🤗🤗
I will, I have a ton of videos lined up right now
She is my favourite baker, her sweet smile, nice hair and delicious food make me like her even more !
this is the most heart breaking character, seeing her fighting everlyn to give chloe a chance to run in daughter dlc make me almost cry
Yeah it was sad what happened to the Baker family and how it was just at the wrong place at the wrong time.
10:32 The memes were great throughout the video but this one in particular gave me a good chuckle. I use the gif as a response a lot.
Im really feel bad for the whole Baker's familly. But at least, Ethan with Joe saved Zoe. (Thanks for video!)
the baker family has one of the most tragic stories in the entire franchise. they only got caught up in all this because they wanted to make sure evie was ok :(
Outstanding thanks for another excellent video dude 👍
Soul reaver needs a remaster
@@missxmettastars5740 It sure does!!!👍
We can say margerit in her final moments of clarity put her baby girl her blood one safety first, she a good mom for that
2:11 pretty sure Quagmire will try and do something to that 😂😂😂
merci pour la video
Hey DeVuh what did you think of Daniel Fabron?
Btw love your videos the funny clips you add in all the time makes my day even on bad days also subscribe ❤❤❤
Thank You!!!
Thank you for another evil explained. Can you do one for Jack Krauser?
Yes i can
@@HeYDeVuH Thank you and I look forwarding to watching it.
Her: oh good, I'll be back in a little bit to check on you.
Literally every fiber in my being: no, nO, NO
Would love to see the voice actors in action
If memory serves, the true ending to Daughters reveals that the events of the night were a hallucination brought on by the mold/Evie, as the DLC ends with the Bakers sat eating breakfast talking about aftermath of the hurricane.
Dude, please, tell me the name of the background sound of that video, it's so chilling.
Should have been a hint that Jack was alive that only he and Zoe were on that dream where Jack apologizes to Ethan but not Marguerite(dead) and Lucas(healed).
She basically was a spider woman variant with other bugs features
BTW, that "food" on the dinner table is earlobes.
Best RUclipsr ever.
Actually since Village the mold could be just as old as the Progenitor virus or older. Since Miranda got infected way before she met Spencer.
I have never heard of this DLC, the Daughters? Was it country specific?
I can't wait to encounter this character, well that's after I beat RE5 and RE6 first XD.
Good luck on your run on both Resident Evil 5 and 6!!!
@@HeYDeVuH I've finished RE1 and 4 as well, they were amazing to play.
Take a shot every time you hear the word "hospitable"
I am still wondering on how they got groceries so they could eat. Like for instance Mia or Zoe, yk?
Poor Marguerite, poor Zoe, poor Baker Family with the exception of Lucas who knows that he could cure his family.
Marguerite got fucked over since she was the first to get infected she should have been the strongest and the fact that she get killed without needing the antidote as jack did was pretty stupid. I was hoping for the final boss to be some massive monster made up of jack and marguerite not just jack.
"this look delicious" blarff
The “oh god” 😂
Marguerite got so much stress her hair got pale
Just thinking about how Ethans convo w/ jack(dead) & zoe(alive) was w/in the consciousness of the megamycite from res. Evil VIII 🤔 which implies that you are conscious w/in the megamycite while infected and after dieing? Bc zoe wasn't dead & jack was. But Marguerite, who is dead like jack & Lucas, who is infected But alive like zoe aren't there????
Why does the first 10 seconds depict my husband reacting to my cooking 😆?
i loved this game maked me feel fear, i wanted the 8 to follow but the choose to make it more action oriented i enjoyed both but i dig more this feeling of fear of the characters of re7
She’s my favorite character from 7
I loved the game but my only complaint it the HAIR GRAPHICS . What even is that. I played a game while back "Brave" by Disney. The only reason I played was because I had to see who bad the hair was. It did not disappoint. It reminded me of that at times I found myself laughing g at how ridiculous the hair physics worked.
