Gambhir is honest unlike media puppets. India needs honesty, not star culture. We beat Australia in Australia because of honest hardworking XI which included pujara. Gambhir wanted him but he was denied that opportunity. Gambhir never faced a ball in Australia so why make him a scapegoat? Hold Indian batsmen responsible. Btw Ponting has clearly simmered down a bit when it comes to interviews. Whatever his on field personality used to be, he's actually a pretty sober guy at this age who speaks 'kaam ki baat' instead of unnecessary blabbering about certain players. Ravi as usual being to the point and clear cut, although he should have gone a bit harder on Rohit-Kohli. The difference between the two team is Scot Boland.
On 2020-21 BGT series, Aussie played Cummins, Starc and Hazelwood in all 4 test matches. Starc and Hazelwood are great for first 15 overs and then they easily get tired.
In this series, Hazelwood got injured and was replaced by a bowling machine called Scot Boland who never tires.
He relentlessly bowl for 20-25 overs in a day without change in line, length and pace.
Starc got tired by last match but as Boland was playing, India never got respite.
Boland took 21 wickets in 3 match while Bumrah got 32 in 5 match.
Both should have given player of the series trophy.

Another massive difference was the presence of captain Tim Paine, bro😅 I mean, we all love that guy off the field, but the antics he used to do on the field as captain as well as the keeper, he's easily one of the worst captains Australia had. Don't forget, that in that 2020-21 BGT Paine dropped Pant twice in that Sydney 4th innings and missed a stumping (when Pant was on 20 or something) in the Gabba 4th innings. Not to mention the bowling changes he made when Sundar and Shardul were batting earlier and staging our comeback, had captain Cummins been there we would have comceded a 100+ lead in that first innings itself.

Manus did his Manus things so - not much, I like his batting but was quite disappointed same with India's supposed Kings and captain cool, what nots of our not in form players.
Pat Cummins players fans love to not love as much with his almost Zen-alike on field and off presence. No throwing around weights of being a skipper of a World Cup winning team and achieving great success as a team first by leading from the front.

Maturity is when you realize Ravi Shastri was actually a pretty good coach. We didn't win ICC trophies with him, yes. But what else did we not win under him??? We lost a series in SA and lost in NZ. Apart from that, the domination we showed around the world in the ODI format, remains unmatched. 9 consecutive ODI series wins, no team was spared by us. Add to that the home domination of test cricket. That was A GREAT TEAM. Just not winning ICC trophies is what we remember, but compare it with GG era or even the Dravid era, you'll realise which team was the most dominating.

Kohli's Brand value and marketability directly impact the firm's revenue. So you're saying that the Perth wicket was batter-friendly? It was probably the quickest wicket of the series.

For Eng series, Virat Rohit and even Gill should help county cricket skipping a few IPH games. If not, pick best performers from Ranji trophy.

Nothing will ever overtake the rivalry between England and Australia. You can get a million people turn up to the BGT, it makes no difference. Ask any Australian or any Englishman what they want to win the most and they will all tell you the Ashes.

She meant “drawn the series”. India would have won with Jasprit and that would have drawn the series 2-2.

It is cricket a game only. Yes you win you lose. but Virat did not have to behave like that. He is representing India, not him!! He brought down the country and showed bad example. When he has money, he forgets his root. India needs need blood.
