UHMLA General Surgery Mission

In May of 2024 a team from Unidad Hospitalaria Movil Latinoamerica (UHMLA) went on another medical mission to Ecuador with PACH. They performed over 30 surgeries to remove gallbladders, lipomas and to repair hernias.
Many of the treated patients had been living in pain, waiting years to receive the specialized care offered by the mission. Others traveled hours for the surgeries, coming from Ecuador’s Coastal region and the Shuar communities of the Amazon region.
