      The only reason why he was able to perform the works of the law perfectly because he’s God. He’s the one that brought the Israelites out of Egypt and gave Moses the Ten Commandments. Of course he is always with the Father and the Spirit as the three of them always works together. When Jesus was on Earth, his Godly nature was in Heaven as well as on Earth. He never ceased to be omnipresent. Nor did he cease to be omniscient or omnipotent. The Father and the Spirit was with him on Earth as well. Remember in John 3 when he was talking to Nicodemus? Also, Remember in Genesis 1:26 when God said let ‘us’ make man in ‘our’ image after ‘our’ likeness. Well Jesus did speak this way referring to himself and the other two persons of the Trinity in this verse: “Most assuredly, I say to you, “We” speak what “We” know and testify what “We” have seen, and you do not receive “Our” witness.”

      He didnt come down to just follow the law, remember the law isnt for a righteous person and it has no power to give life.
      Christ came to do God’s will and work John 6:68 (which wasnt to follow the law). Since Jesus is God, everything He did in his earthly ministry and life was to glorify the Father which he did perfectly, and the Father sent His Son to save us from our sins. The law was only given to show us that we are sinners. Although since He was able to keep the law perfectly, it showed His divine and righteous nature.

  • @Nighhhts
    @Nighhhts 11 дней назад +59

    The purpose of the Law was to ALWAYS lead us to the Lord Jesus Christ; the Law does not save anyone, it exposes you as the sinner you are, in need of a Savior. Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is your only means of eternal salvation, because He obeyed the Law perfectly on your behalf, which is impossible for man.

      You are right but what you don't seem to understand is that no one in the OT knew where exactly to place their faith on let alone who.... They just knew of a coming redeemer...
      But when Christ came and died for our sins it was revealed where our faith must be on...

      Yes, they did know. They all knew of the promise of God. It’s literally the first prophecy of the Bible (Genesis 3:15). They might not have known who Messiah was exactly, but they knew about His coming and they believed in God and the Messiah. The one who undoubtably knew Christ was Abraham, for he literally met Christ (in Genesis 18), which is why Christ said, “Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day: and he saw it, and was glad.”

      @savedbythepreciousbloodofj6559 10 дней назад

      @@Nighhhts The scriptures say different and just knowing about his coming is not enough to be saved in this dispensation. Genesis 3:15 does not mention faith in the blood(Romans 3:25) so is not enough by itself to be saved today just to believe on WHO Jesus Christ is today. Today we must also trust WHAT the Lord Jesus Christ has done according to the scriptures(shed his blood as an atonement for our sins according to the scriptures). That is why the gospel of our salvation given to us by the Apostle Paul in the KING JAMES BIBLE(1 Cor 15:1-4) starts with HOW that Christ died for our sins ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES.
      This was a mystery KEPT SECRET SINCE BEFORE THE WORLD BEGAN, but given to the apostle Paul for us today by direct revelation from the Lord Jesus Christ himself and not previously received of man or given to previous generations of men. This is why we must use the King James Bible and rightly divide the word of truth as instructed in 2 Tim 2:15. Most people who think that they are saved, are actually not, because they haven't acknowledged the 7 mysteries given to the Apostle Paul(apostle to the gentiles and one of the mysteries being the gospel of our salvation today itself) and they are not rightly dividing the word of truth as instructed and have blended the different gospels together across dispensations or are trying to apply doctrine to themselves now in this dispensation when it was meant as an instruction to the Jews in a different time period and under a different gospel and doctrine.
      For example, Ephesians 2:8-9 shows us clearly that today in the church age we are saved by grace through faith alone and not of works lest any man should boast; whereas James 2 teaches the opposite that Rehab was justified by works and that faith without works is dead. Can I apply both to myself at the same time? No!; Is God a liar? No! So how does one reconcile these verses without believing both at the same time and mixing faith and works and having a false faith plus works gospel? It is really easy, we see that God dealt with different people at different times in different ways. Noah built a boat for his families salvation. Should I build a boat to be saved today? No of course not. James 1:1 shows us clearly that it was written to the 12 tribes of Israeal scattered abroad and was for them 2000 years ago and again under the gospel of the ingdom that they will again be under in the 7yr tribulation period. The church will not be here then. The tribulation period has a different gospel back in affect then.
      Colossians 2:2
      1For I would that ye knew what great conflict I have for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh; 2That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the MYSTERY of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; 3In whom are HID all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. 4And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words. 5For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ.
      Colossians 1:27
      24Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church: 25Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God; 26Even the MYSTERY which hath been HID FROM AGES AND FROM GENERATIONS, but NOW is made manifest to his saints: 27To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this MYSTERY AMONG THE GENTILES; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: 28Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus: 29Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.
      Ephesians 3:3
      1For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles, 2If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is GIVEN ME to you-ward: 3How that BY REVELATION HE MADE KNOWN UNTO ME THE MYSTERY; (as I wrote afore in few words, 4Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ) 5WHICH IN OTHER AGES WAS NOT MADE KNOWN unto the sons of men, as it is NOW REVEALED unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; 6That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:
      Ephesians 1:9
      6To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. 7In whom we have redemption THROUGH HIS BLOOD, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; 8Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence; 9Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: 10That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him: 11In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: 12That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
      1 Corinthians 2:7 Context
      4And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: 5That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. 6Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: 7But we speak the WISDOM OF GOD IN A MYSTERY, even the HIDDEN WISDOM, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: 8WHICH NONE OF THE PRINCES OF THIS WORLD KNEW: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 10But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 1
      Romans 3:25
      “Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;”

    The only thing that gets me is the need to sacrifice animals for sin. Isn't that a work? This is a genuine question.

    • @Equilibrium86
      @Equilibrium86 7 дней назад

      It is a work but not a work for salvation. Its only prevented Gods earthly punishment to those agreed to keep the Law of Moses.
      As Far as salvation in old testiment was by faith in Covenant (promise) God made with the children of Abraham Issac and Jacob. When Law came, punishment came very quickly so ppl died quicker but it didn't automatically mean spiritual punishment. But it was Physical Judgment.
      So practicing animal Sacfrice Cover or Hidden there sins before the Lord so God could properly fellowship with isreal with the incentive of his Holyness not lashing out against isreal. And sometimes because of God mercy depending on how one repented back then God would waive or push physical punishment to the next Generation. (Unless the next repented as well)
      What's interesting is God strategy and mercy was to push the Judgement long enough until Jesus came to receive all of it ONLY if that generation was sensitive to the will of God. Otherwise they experience a portion of Gods wrath in that generation.
      So those who broke of the Covenant God made with Abraham Issac and Jacob meant that they Rejected the Promise God made with isreal and even Rejected by default the hidden Messianic promises thus rejecting Jesus before he was even born.
      Bottom line is that Jesus took are physical and Spritual punishment that we deserved vs Animal sacrifice that temporarily covered ppls sins for a short while until the next year they had to offer the burnt offering and animal sacrifices before the Lord.
      Another big flaw was that animal sacrifices made one conscious & always aware they had sin and could never take away there guilt within there selves; where as Jesus takes the Guilt of sin away permanently with Sacrifice on the cross. And blesses us with Holy Spirit of Promise. The law made ppl work in the flesh but could not work away there sin nature (flesh). Where as Jesus gives us a new nature (the Spirit) that hold firm to the promise of God that we are His regardless of short comings of the flesh.

      Faith plus works in the ot and tribulation for what? Salvation/eternal life?
      In the OT, Abraham was justified by faith and not by works. David described how man was blessed because of being imputed righteousness without works.
      Romans 4
      What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found?
      2 For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God.
      3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.
      4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.
      5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
      6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,
      7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.
      8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

    The bible says we are sealed unto the day of redemption, but that dosent work in the tribulation when the bible says that (paraphrase) If any man take the mark of the beast he will go to hell guaranteed, if dispensationalism isn't correct then God which cannot lie would be a lier if someone who put there faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ and was sealed and then took the mark and lost salvation?, how does that work?

    • @lawrencehorner8418
      @lawrencehorner8418 11 дней назад

      Those who take the mark of the beast were never saved, as it will require worshipping the image of the beast. But a lot of Christians believe in a pre-tribulation rapture that will largely remove the Holy Spirit's presence from the earth. The Bible says that it is the Holy Spirit that is preventing the coming of the antichrist as long as the Holy Spirit is in the world. "For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way." (II Thessalonians 2:7)

      @@lawrencehorner8418 I know, It does prove that dispensationalism is correct as in order to be saved in the tribulation they must have faith and resist the mark of the beast (works) this proves that God dosent save people the same way all through the bible, the saints in that time period will have to make sure they don't get deceived into thinking that they are saved the same way we are saved, lest they think that they can take the mark of the beast and still be saved by grace alone as that won't be the case.

      Faith in God providing the means to our salvation; Jesus' blood sacrifice to pay for our sins. Jesus did the work of salvation for us. Our work is to believe in Jesus, Whom the Father sent to earth to be born of a virgin to have a mortal body so that He could sacrifice himself to save us. In the old Testament, they believed that God would provide the means of our salvation. Today, we have hindsight to see that Jesus is the Messiah, the means by which God saves us. [12] I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. [13] And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
    Faith pre-existed the New Testament but was only formally revealed to us after Jesus died on the cross.

    The Gospel for today is not believe on who Jesus is...
    The Gospel for today is what Jesus accomplished on the Cross as full payment for our sins by How Christ shed his blood for our sins... Through His death / burial / resurrection on the 3rd day....

They are at odds with each other, so if you say you are saved and believe in works based salvation then you are living under the law, and since its impossible to keep the law you will not be justified in front of the Father. Now if you believe you are entirely justified by faith and not works lest any man should boast, then you are completely relying on the finished work of Christ and are truly saved. If the Old Testament way of salvation was not keeping the Law, then how were people saved? Fortunately, the answer to that question is easily found in Scripture, so there can be no doubt as to what was the Old Testament way of salvation. In Romans 4 the apostle Paul makes it very clear that the Old Testament way of salvation was the same as the New Testament way, which is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. To prove this, Paul points us to Abraham, who was saved by faith: “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness” (Romans 4:3). Again, Paul quotes the Old Testament to prove his point-Genesis 15:6, this time. Abraham could not have been saved by keeping the Law, because he lived over 400 years before the Law was given!

      U need to understand we all are sinners only Blood of Jesus Christ made us worthy nothing other than that.
      We can't come to conclusion - saved believers will not sin. Corinthians are the great example. They were still sinning even after saved. Flesh and Spirit are enemies some walk by Spirit some by flesh.
      Scriptures say, we are adopted. Adoption is irreversible and permanent.
      Eternal life is a free gift.
      Grace of God is greater than sin.
      Romans 5:18-20
      Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.
      19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

      Yeah, God says what He means and means what He says. The Gospel message is simple enough that a child can understand it.
      Jesus rejoiced that God revealed His truth to the “babes” of the world, but hid it from “the wise” (Luke 10:21). Anyone who is trying to complicate the message is going to miss the message.

    You are spot on we can not earn are salvation by any means. Its a beautiful gift. But you talk as though works are unnecessary and dirty. Yes it is by faith and grace that we receive eternal life but with that faith should come the fruits of the faith which is works. Works is just loving God and your neighbor. James 2:14-26 John 14:11-15. Jesus wants us to keep his commandments the first four is loving God. The last six is loving your neighbor. Matthew 22:37-40 Matthew 19:17-19 Works are loving God and your neighbor and that is very necessary. Matthew 25:31-46

    Definitely. One thing i do notice, however, is that real men of God (justified by faith) in the OT were all expected to have works. "He was justified by faith and did very little for God" Does not exist to my understanding. This is a not a counter argument, rather an observation that can be taken in a few different ways.

    I have a BIG question! This is said right after Jesus shows himself to a doubting Thomas and says to him in John 20:29: "Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed."
    This seems to define "believe in Jesus" to be know that he is the Christ and has risen from the dead. Further more, two verses later in John 20:31, John writes this: "But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name."
    This again seems to clarify that eternal life comes by believing that Jesus is the Christ and was risen. My question is that John uses the word "MIGHT". It says ye MIGHT have life through his name. Why is the word "might" there if believing that Jesus is the Christ gives you eternal life. Shouldn't the word might not be there? It IS there though so does that mean that by believing you MIGHT still NOT have eternal life?

    James 2 vs Roman's 4: Two accounts of Abraham's life (Gen 15 and Gen 22). James is written to the 12 tribes and was preaching the kingdom gospel that required works as evidence of salvation. Paul wrote Roman's to the gentiles and salvation was by grace alone. In Gen 15 (conception if Isaac), Abraham's faith alone was counted for righteousness. No work was required on Abraham's part, but to have faith. James accounts Gen 22 (sacrifice of isaac) and Abraham's faith in obedience when he went to sacrifice Isaac. It was those works that were counted as righteousness.
    Different dispensations. Different requirements. Faith required in both.
    When faith requires action/works (Gen 22). Those actions/works are counted toward righteousness. Kingdom gospel- repent, be baptized, obey the commandments.
    If faith doesn't require action (Gen 15), faith alone is counted toward righteousness. Grace gospel..

      What do you mean different dispensations? Abraham only lived in one dispensation. He was only justified (received God's imputed righteousness) one time, Romans 4 says it was in Genesis 15 and was by faith alone with no works. Why would he need to be justified (receive God's imputed righteousness) a second time?
      What passage tells us the kingdom gospel is repent be baptized and obey the commandments for salvation?
      James 1:18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.
      James 1 tells us that they were born again (Just like I Peter 1:23, John 3:3,5, Titus 3:5). Were they born again by works? If not would James list two separate ways of salvation in the same book?

    • @soffenback
      @soffenback 10 дней назад

      @Aaron-cp9ys James 2:21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered up his son Isaac on the altar? Seems to contradict Roman's 4 For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness.”
      Rom 4 relates to Gen 15 prior to circumcision. Romans was written to the gentiles which can be Jew and non-Jew provided they rest solely in God's grace through Christ's finished work on the cross. Abraham was circumcised in Gen 17. James 2 relates to Gen 22 when Abraham was circumcised. James is written to the 12 tribes who follow the kingdom gospel rather than resting solely in God's grace through Christ's finished work on the cross.
      Two people (circumcised and uncircumcised) groups. Each under a different dispensation (faith alone - grace gospel and faith plus works such as baptism, repentence, obeying the commandments).

      1. You still haven't resolved the contradiction in your response. Abraham only lived in one dispensation. The starting point has to be answering how was Abraham justified, otherwise the theology has a contradiction in it regardless of what you believe about salvation in the tribulation.
      Abraham wouldn't need to be justified (or declared righteous by God) two times in his life.
      2. Romans was written to Jews and Gentiles who could be saved by the same gospel (Romans 1:16).
      3. James 1:18 says that the group James is writing to is born again - can a person be born again by works?
      4. To break one command is to have broken all the commands - James 2:10. If works brought salvation wouldn't this imply it would be impossible to be saved by works?
      5. Justification has more than one definition.

    Excellent teaching. It is ironic that the teachings of alleged KJV masters accuse ancient Israel and even Tribulation saints of having a different salvation than Noah, Abel, Adam, Abraham, David, and so many others. Not only that, but who teaches Faith + Works? Rome. Are we to truly believe that God would have had ancient Israel follow the doctrine of a city and religion described as the mother of all harlots?

    That's not dispensationalism, it's "Mid Acts." When you see people saying that Romans and Philemon are the only scriptures for the Church, or they go on and on about Paul, you're seeing the Mid Acts community and they teach multiple ways of salvation.
    The influence of Reformed Covenant Theology has a lot of people messed up. Covenants and dispensations are both biblical. Focus on one and the exclusion of the other is going to cause error.
