I like LilAggy's challenge runs more because his commentary is great, but he suffers from speed-runner tunnel vision in a way that challenge-runner Bushy doesn't. Bushy instead crafts his build and approaches things cognitively in a way that's just interesting to me rather than explicitly "entertaining." It's a good flavor.
Moongrum confused me on my first playthrough, I had no idea he was a player like NPC that was trying to kill me because he doesn't invade, I just saw a random dude walking towards me as I went up the elevator and walked right past him, not sure he even swung at me..
Moongrum seems to act like Team Rocket with how often he messes with Bushy. Will be honest, when I first saw Moongrum in my first playthrough my Dark Souls instincts kicked him and well... he is a strong knight, just not good against being hit by the full wrath of a ultragreatsword to the face.
Margit is such a perfect first boss for challenge runs specifically. "Put these foolish ambitions to rest" hits a lot harder when the ambition is as foolish as "I want to beat this game, while all enemies are invisible."
I really appreciate how you do all rememberances instead of just the required for beating the game. Every other challenge run is just the bare minimum. You go all out. Thanks for that.
Of all the Elden Ring content on YT a good Bushy challenge run is by far my favorite kind. You balance challenge and entertainment so well, it just hits that perfect sweetspot for me. Keep doing what you do and I hope you enjoy doing these runs as much as I enjoy watching them. Cheers bro
This really makes you appreciate a lot of the little special effects you don’t really think about that happens in the game. Like looking at Fortissax for example, being able to practically see his outline in the lightning is cool as hell, and missed when you can see all of him
I never noticed how many bosses have footsteps, either. Like, ripples on water is fairly obvious, but big dudes like Margit and Maliketh kick up a little dust with every step.
Hey Bushy and chat, this challenge really hits a note for what I consider a weaker aspect of Elden Ring compared to other souls games, audio cues in boss battles. In a lot of cases I find myself not being able to find a 'timing' or 'cue' for attacks when relying on sound, something I found easier in other souls game. In Elden Ring there seems to be often just an initial audio cue for the attack winding up, but not for the damaging part of attack. In DS3, even in delayed attacks or multi-attacks. there's a 'rhythm' or 'flow' in sound. While with Radahn for example I'm not able to focus him well enough to see attacks (mouse + pc + unlocked) and with the audio I never know what happens, there's a grunt and then there's 3 types of: 'sword swinging everywhere'. Do you feel a similar way or do i need to git gud Regards Edit: for example the attack at 3:20 just before Margit dies is an example of a bad, or no audio cue. At 4:15 the laugh is an example of a good audio cue, i knew which attack it was and a knew it was 2x laughing fits, then slam followed by slam
A problem I have with any Souls games (can't speak for Bloodborne, haven't played it) after Dark Souls 1 is the fact that enemies' attacks are unnaturally timed, hard to read, and generally designed to fake you out with a mixture of fast and slow attacks that don't follow logical timings. Elden Ring makes it even worse with those attacks being specifically designed to catch the end of your dodge roll i-frames as well. The fact that Fromsoft doesn't seem to understand that making an enemy so big while having the vertical FOV so tiny means this is even harder because you can't even see the boss's telegraphs because they're at the very top or beyond the top of the screen. Don't even get me started on the tiny arenas (see: almost every Ulcerated/Putrid Tree Spirit arena). Sekiro isn't really a Souls game, it lacks most of the RPG mechanics, but it's the only game that is /better/ about these issues since Dark Souls 1 IMO.
When I first started playing on my laptop, it had barely enough system qualifications to run the game, however, it didn't have enough to load in all the basic enemies, so unwillingly, I had to play with all enemies except bosses to be invisible. Turns out, sound can be very important when you can't see shit.
I had the exact same experience! The bloodhound Evergaol boss specifically was invisible for me too, I had a friend tell me his move set and figured it out well enough after like 10 attempts
When I first time played ds2 dlc I didnt know that you have to have item to make cat visible. Took me more than 6 hours to beat it. Youre amazing for doing this challenge.
Now THIS is a proper challenge. Skumnut is doing some dumb shit where every enemy is Fire Giant. Sounds cool, until it turned into him running for literally a couple seconds and quitting out to reset aggro. He did this for hours on in. Officially the best challenge runner.
Played with invisible enemies for a couple hours on day of launch, thought it was just part of the portion of the game I was in, w/ enemies phasing in/out of visibility, but it was just my GPU topping out. Interesting gameplay, no stuttering or crashing, could move around without issue, but the more enemies I had nearby, the less I saw. Got to a point in Stormveil, where they stopped appearing altogether. Gave up on the extra challenge there and changed my settings lol
The fact that Torrent is invisible in this mod makes it a crying shame the audio of his hoofbeats isn't replaced by someone clapping coconuts together.
My first run took me 76 hours, it was so fun the first time doing it and I love going back and finding new items I'd never seen before to make new awesome builds. The replayability is great
You have a run where you play while unallowed to dodge and forced to attack, and I have a strong feeling this is what I would do in this challenge as well. Probably using something like Gravitas as well. Or the human torch build.
It is a bit of a step down in challenge isn't it all things considered. It's going to "Oh no, I can't see the enemy to react to them!", from "Oh no, I can't react to them, oh well." I suppose without repeating the same strategy it's harder but, definitely a lot less impossible sounding when being forced to absorb everything bosses throw at you has already been done.
I do enjoy the ‘equipment on screen’ clips. keep that in please Edit: also can you try a no hud run? Maybe a no hud & invisible if you are daring enough
It's great how you were able to recreate playing as an invader with a laggy connection. Invisible phantoms have caused like 20 percent of my losses not kidding.
Hi Bushy 😊 you probably won't read this and that's okay, I just wanted to say you seemed a bit less energetic in this video (maybe a little burned out?) so I hope everything is okay with you and you're doing well. I always love to see a video from you and you have brought me a lot of joy these past few months, months that have been difficult for me otherwise. I really love your sense of humor and your attitude, and you're very entertaining. You got me back into playing Elden Ring again. Thanks for that. Again I hope you're doing alright and I wish you the best.
Amazing that Bushy was able to accurately recreate my elden ring experience from last april in which I left Stormveil for the very first time and suddenly torrent and every enemy were now invisible
I wish we had the technology to add the visible characters back into the video after you were done so we could see how funny some of your dodge rolls looked
id imagine that godrick in his cutscene has that lacy gold thingy because when they made the animation the actual chacter body couldn't be moved in a way that makes it look natural so they made a second model of if and overlayed it ontop so they could manually tweak it to look more natural
Its funny to see this video cause my PC was so bad when i buyed elden ring, that literally every enemy were invisible too, then i gave up until i got an new PC, but seeing this is very nostalgic
Watching invisible Godrick cut off his invisible hand just before phase 2 and seeing the tiny blood slash has to be one of the funniest things I've seen I'm a while🤣
Real talk! You one of my favorite streamers/youtubers for Elden Ring and you make me want to try out new ways to play the game, keep doing what you’re doing and remember, stay amazing :)
Can we just take a moment to appreciate how awesome radahn phase 2 looks with him invisible? Looks like you're fighting a gravity elemental or some shit

6:26 I appreciate how because of the mods limitations, Moongrum *still* breaks the same way as always.
Truly, Moongrum is a universal constant
Moongrum is honestly my favorite part of the videos
Moongrum confused me on my first playthrough, I had no idea he was a player like NPC that was trying to kill me because he doesn't invade, I just saw a random dude walking towards me as I went up the elevator and walked right past him, not sure he even swung at me..
Moongrum seems to act like Team Rocket with how often he messes with Bushy.
Will be honest, when I first saw Moongrum in my first playthrough my Dark Souls instincts kicked him and well... he is a strong knight, just not good against being hit by the full wrath of a ultragreatsword to the face.
I always get excited when Bushy goes to Raya Lucaria because I can't wait to see his son again
At this point I’m pretty sure that you could remove Moongrum from the map file and he’d somehow magically appear as you went up the elevator.
Margit is such a perfect first boss for challenge runs specifically. "Put these foolish ambitions to rest" hits a lot harder when the ambition is as foolish as "I want to beat this game, while all enemies are invisible."
Vibe checked by horny scorpion-man gatekeeping in both the literal and social sense.
I really appreciate how you do all rememberances instead of just the required for beating the game. Every other challenge run is just the bare minimum. You go all out. Thanks for that.
Don’t you mean “Cheers for that”? 😂
the invisible backstabbing enemies in liturgical town are my least favorite in the game. Bushy is an insane madman and we all aspire to be him.
I actually didn't mind them. I was indeed trespassing after all.
But those rooftop archers 😡😡😡
Of all the Elden Ring content on YT a good Bushy challenge run is by far my favorite kind. You balance challenge and entertainment so well, it just hits that perfect sweetspot for me. Keep doing what you do and I hope you enjoy doing these runs as much as I enjoy watching them. Cheers bro
Next up is an invisible randomizer. Not only can Bushy not see the enemy, he won't know what it is until he recognizes the attack pattern or moves
also randomize all item spawn locations and make them invisible in the inventory for a complete UI nightmare
This really makes you appreciate a lot of the little special effects you don’t really think about that happens in the game. Like looking at Fortissax for example, being able to practically see his outline in the lightning is cool as hell, and missed when you can see all of him
Fortissax looked like a normal boss in his own right, it was really cool.
I never noticed how many bosses have footsteps, either. Like, ripples on water is fairly obvious, but big dudes like Margit and Maliketh kick up a little dust with every step.
Just when you thought Bushy did all the Elden Ring challenges in existence he came up with this masterpiece. Well done sir
He got this idea from another channel 😉
This run might as well be "Can I beat Elden Ring by panic rolling?"
The lightning dragon outline from Fortissax is awesome. Should be a boss in the future. 30:42
the invisible black knife assassin was so widely loved that they decided to make the entire game like it.
