    Very useful tips there! Thanks. Currently have a final hearing set towards the last quarter period this year and I'm representing myself in a discrimination claim against 2 corporations. Following a recent PH the Rs are keener now to "know my thoughts" about what i would accept as an offer as they're seemingly looking to settle via cot3!! Don't know whether that's a good thing but they've been offering a significantly low figure. Can you advise or point us in the right direction please? 🙏

      If settlement is your goal decide what feels like a just figure and make that proposal to them. Add a secondary figure on top of that if they expect settlement to include preventing you from speaking about the matter. If it isn't your goal, don't entertain discussions. It can be distracting

    Good evening, great video. I’m just starting with acas and Royal Mail . I resigned to the fact that I was being Mis treated and the manager wasn’t following the same work policy for other staff and there’s so much more that happened.
    Can I put down injury To feelings with constructive dismissal? Thanks

      Hi. Injury to feelings is only relevant where the claim includes discrimination

      @@beentheredonethat9647 thanks… if you can help me …. I’ll make this as easy as possible for you to understand.
      I was “bullied “ at work . My union guy (who is a assistant manager and postman) and my manager were not letting me have hospital appointment and rest of the staff had their days off and letting mail fail . I booked twice and days available but still refused.
      My union guy was delivering mail with a female postwoman and he then phoned my manager to tell her that my eyes were wild . ( total lie) I was off work with depression. My manager has used this as a way to basically get rid of me.
      I was moved to a different office.
      Occupational health has put me down as a 2010 disability for long term anxiety. Would I have a claim for injury to feelings as my manager had a letter from occupational health about my condition. Thanks

      Hi. I don't think so, based on what you've said. The only discrimination angle would be disability but nothing you say here demonstrates you have been discriminated against

    Thank you for these superb videos (resources), I am representing my spouse next month in the ET against a major employer having a chain of hotels for racial, sex discrimination & harassment, basically 2010 act sec 13, 26. I have 5 weeks left to do the prep as lawyers were too dear however I got a NO win No Fee company to update my SOL to include vento injury to feelings and its around 29k claim now, will I be allowed to examination in chief, i.e. question my own client before she is cross examined by the respondents? or will the witness statement be taken 'as read' and therefore no opportunity for either party to be doing examination in chief?

      Usually the witness statement is taken "as read" and the respondent cross examines first.       You can include that in your rationalle for what part of vento you claim (injury to feelings is only for discrimination cases)

    I was harassed for 8 months. I was successful at Tribunal for race harassment and wondering how much to claim. Any suggestions?

      Congratulations on winning your case, I'm so sorry you had to endure all that 😢. Personally that sounds to me like high bracket of vento. It'd be helpful at your remedy hearing to include a new witness statement describing the effect the harassment has had on your life. You can include family or friends as a witness to that also.
