Gone with the wind already in color and it took decade to make another best picture movie in color. That’s telling something. ❤
The Shawshank Redemption shoud have won
There’s a lot of great films here. Gladiator, Godfather, Lord of the Rings. But my favorite out of them all is American Beauty. It’s often considered one of the worst best pictures and to be overrated, but I’ve always loved it!
I think it's a great movie too! It doesn't help that Kevin Spacey is on the lead role after all the situation, so maybe new viewers are seeing it from a different lens. It's got an amazing soundtrack as well! Gladiator is also one of my all time favorites!
I liked the movie. For me the worst movie ever to win oscar is EEAAO.
@@kenedywangham914 Crash
@@kenedywangham914 Same with CODA
I wish you had made the movie titles a bit more readable, they are awfully tiny😒
Great video! Suggestion for your next one: The most influential movies per year! Some of the greatest films ever made didn't won the Oscar for best picture
Comedies never win. Citizen Kane did not win but is considered a masterpiece by many film historians.
You are right. CITIZEN KANE is one of the greatest comedies ever made.
Brokeback Mountain was stolen
Congratulations to Everything Everywhere all at once!
Love that movie

I do enjoy videos like this, and loved the music, and the fact that you included Sunrise (many lists leave that one off). However, it would be nice if you could get the years correct.
1942/43
2004/05
2008/09
Those years were all switched around. A little more research could have helped make this video better
1:23 - 1:31 I think you had these two backwards - Mrs. Miniver (1942) was first, and then Casablanca (1943). Thanks for understanding!
1942 mrs miniver 1943 casablanca 2008 slumdog millionaire 2009 hurt locker
Thanks a lot! The list I used seemed to have had a mistake with those 4 movies. Apologies!
5:55 - 6:02 I think you have these backwards as well - "Slumdog Millionaire" (2008) was first, and then "The Hurt Locker" (2009). Thanks again for understanding!
So is 5:42- 5:47
Thanks! I'll make sure to correct it for the next one!
How Saving private Ryan don't won? LOL
It suffered from a really heavy Oscar campaign from Harvey Weinstein, who produced Shakespeare in Love. It is said that he also campaigned incredibly hard for Gwyneth Paltrow, who ultimately won Best Actress to the surprise of many! Steven Spielberg did get Best Director though!
You know, I'm a Pink Floyd fan. Then RUclips recommended this to me and... WAIT A MINUTE THIS HAS PINK FLOYD SONGS
I love Pink Floyd as well!! I was thinking the song could be fitting for the video and luckily it worked out! Thanks for watching!
Wow! I got so emotional towards the end

very good
Where is ingrid bergman in gaslight and in anastasia?..
Those films did not win Best Picture. Why would they be included?
I give you an A for effort. But when you do a compilation of the Best Picture winners, you have to capture the story in a scene or two. The Life of Emile Zola didn't have Zola. Bridge on the River Kwai didn't have the bridge. Hamlet didn't have Hamlet, Oliver didn't have Oliver, The Apartment didn't have the apartment, Tom Jones didn't have a close up of Tom Jones, The Godfather didn't have the Godfather, Amadeus only had the back of his head, In The Heat of The Night didn't have Poitier or Steiger. I hope I'm not being too critical. I know it's a lot of work.
Thank you for the feedback! I will definitely take it into account for the next one!

Thanks for the effort !
Rebecca is Hitchcock’s only Best Picture winner. That’s insane….
thanks man we appreciate
Thank you for watching!
A few corrections, 2004 and 2005 should be switched, so is 2008 and 2009, other than that perfect video
Thanks for watching!
The King and I should have won Best Picture in 1956 instead of the snore fest Around the World in 80 Days. It only won because of the cameo appearances of many well known Hollywood actors of the time.
Teresa Kensal The Searchers was always my favorite Movie not just for 1956 but period!!.

If there was any justice in this world, Top Gun would have won.
Top Gun definitely had everything going on for it! Massive box office success, critical acclaim, love from the audiences and a story that revolved around themes like friendship, redemption and American heroism, all of which the Academy loves. It would have also been awesome to see Tom Cruise get an Oscar as a producer. But, EEAAO was also a very strong competitor on all of the above!
@@jarce2010 I just feel like the academy usually choses pretentious films or ones that do too much.
Nah EEAAO earned it
Top Gun:Maverick was good, but it just didn’t feel like “Oscar material.”
It was definitely better than the first film. Although, the first film had better music and a better love story, but the action and overall entertainment was better in the 2nd film.
I also love how the whole airplane attack sequence was just like that of Star Wars: A New Hope.
Shoot missiles down a small hole.
It’s just like the Death Star.
Lol 😂
Anyways, Top Gun was great, but it just didn’t feel best picture worthy.
Everything Everywhere all at once was amazing!
It deserved to win 100%!!
First Kung Fu movie to win the Oscar too!
It had a good message behind it and everything.
Great performances as well.
@@marvintran7813actually Star Wars Death Star attack was based on real life trench runs which is what was showed in Top Gun
the fact that Citizen Kane did bot win best picture cuts this Oscar business down many many pegs. The ONLY choice i agreed with from 1927 to 1967 was Sunrise in 1927 when they had a special prize and category for it.
I'm still confused and shocked at how a goofy at its best movie like EEAAO won oscar. Anyway oscar has lost its credibility way back so it is what it is.
Everything Everywhere All at Once 🤮💩👎
L take
I liked it but I can see how it may not be everyone's cup of tea
Stay pressed white boi!!
It's not about a cup of tea but honestly EEAAO is the worst film to win an oscar. It felt like a B-grade movie. The only thing good in the movie was the character of the daughter. It was so overhyped. I watched it thinking to be amazed by it but was totally disappointed. Felt like it was made by a 5year old. I still don't understand how and why people liked it.
