this came in at just the right time, I had posted sometime ago this question on the subreddit and I've been pondering all week how to transport my stick to my first local this weekend. Thanks for the upload :)
@@HushMySweet1 I'm going to try and find a decent enough (and hopefully not very expensive) stick bag, especially considering I'll be travelling to the UK to join a tourney there and I don't see how else I could take it comfortably there.
Life works in mysterious ways because I was just googling the shield since my aegis is a bit too big for my liking now. On a different note, I'd like to suggest a video on rocker switches and how to disable buttons for Crossup / Hit stick layouts since that's currently what I'm researching haha. Excellent video as always! (Edit since I posted and remembered something else: I'd also like to see your thoughts / a breakdown on SOCD cleaners like the magician and the Focus Attack one! I think that's all now!)
I don't have a Cross-Up to test, so that one may be harder, but I will add those suggestions to my list of vid ideas! Thanks for the comment and for watching!
Lol, that pillow was actually inspired by another venue where we were at these backless wooden stool things and by the end of the night after the event and lots of casuals, my group and I could barely walk to our cars. Come on TOs! The average age of your clientele is like 90 these days...invest in some comfy chairs already.
Just designed a few fightsticks and was thinking of making a bag to go along with this. i call it Pandorus Fight Stick. will be uploaoding a build video to YT once all the parts arrive
great video! I'm considering going to a local before the end of the year, and was thinking of whether I should get a new bag for my Hori Rap 4 or just store it in a backpack I already own. now I might get a new bag or look into a detachable shaft
I put mine in trashbag, into an blue ikea bag for the airport, and just take the L and hold it If i travel Nice butt pillow one day ill get on the low profile switches, but no easy quick connectors for keyboard switches, other than making a pcb for extra buttons
Ah thanks! You used to be able to buy the shells on Etsy, but they've since closed up shop. The casemaker, AceTheory, sold his enclosures under the brand RagePad. You could choose between an assortment of vibrant acrylic tops (like blue, green, yellow, pink, and orange) and then build them out yourself. I themed this one around some war elephants and put some spiral art in some translucent pink Crown 202s. It was a really fun little case (maybe a bit on the smaller side), and one of the very few that have deviated from the rectangular standard most fightsticks start with. But I'm starting to ramble, so thanks for watching!
I have a Hitbox and bought the Hitbox case… I kinda want a bad that protects my buttons from being pressed down. Is that something I should be worried of?
When traveling are you worried about the buttons being compressed or should I be worried about the buttons if they stay compressed or get compressed during travel repeatedly? Thank you
@@HushMySweet1 gotcha so it's more for the stick than anything else. I had to ask cuz I got a leverless and I'm like I could just toss it my messenger bag but then I had some slight apprehensions about that Appreciate the feedback
Would a laptop bag suffice? I don't wanna shell out on a bag and my laptop bag seems sizeable enough but I'm worried about my lever like moving and nudging while travelling
It could. You'd have to double-check the dimensions. You can pop something like an MPress V2 in a laptop bag no prob. If everything is all big enough and you're just worried about the lever moving, then I'd invest in a Quick link to detach the lever or a QANBA Crown Joystick Handle Protector Cover to cover the whole thing. Thanks for watching.
I don't have a vid for that one specifically, but a lot of the basic concepts can be applied generally. I've never seen the Qanba Q1W in person though. Did you watch the "Fightstick Facelift" vid on this channel? That's the one I did on replacing artwork. Maybe that will start you in the right direction. Thanks for watching.
@@HushMySweet1 yes i did watch that its a good video but the problem is might be my stick because it has no screw on the plexi and im kinda scared to break it because its my first stick
@@greenteaninja I don't have any experience with that stick you mentioned, but some of my customs don't have screw holes on the topmost plexi either. The buttons on them are holding the plexi in place (the rims extend beyond the button holes and the screw rings lock them in place from below). So maybe try taking out the buttons to see if the plexi topper comes up? That shouldn't be too invasive and doesn't come with much risk of hurting your stick.
Ahhh I thought they were some crazy custom button I’d never heard of lol, didn’t realize they were just 202s. You’ve def inspired me with those ringed button cutouts tho 👀

@@ilypodid you win, or get far?
Crazy, I been searching for a bag since I’m going to Evo first time. Algorithm reading my soul. Thanks!
I love it when that happens. What bag did you settle on?

I'm not the only one who thinks EVO chairs are goddamn hard!

I'll have to watch the build vid when you get it uploaded. Good luck with your project and thanks for watching!

A trashbag?! How unceremonious for a controller as exquisite as yours.
The oval looking fight stick at 1:34, is that custom or? It looks so cool!

No, that shouldn't matter. I wouldn't worry. Thanks for watching!
When traveling are you worried about the buttons being compressed or should I be worried about the buttons if they stay compressed or get compressed during travel repeatedly?

No, I think that's fine. Most buttons are made to handle a lot of presses.

@@HushMySweet1 i see ill try it tnx for the info
Hey i did it it can be remove by removing the buttons tnx alot and aslo what paper do i use if im gonna print my own art?
What buttons are you using in the stick at 1:34?
Those are clear pink Crown 202s (also can search Samducksa) and I just inserted some spiral-esque art in the button caps.
