My first match at the prerelease was against someone with Twinflame Tyrant, Swiftfoot Boots to protect the Tyrant, and Electroduplicate to make token copies of the Tyrant. I lost in 16 minutes in front of my new-to-Magic friend I was showing the prerelease to and had to wait 45 minutes for the round to end. “I can’t believe I got killed by Leyline of Resonance in *Sealed*,”, I complained to my experienced friends, while the new friend wandered around the comic shop and wondered why there’s an hour between rounds.

Yes, but not really. The bloodletter alos doubles life loss effects in addtition to damage, since damage is lifeloss. The twinflame only doubles damage.

Cool deck! I wish you played Best of 3 more. You are a great deck builder, player and teacher. It seems like best of 3 would be right up your alley. I'm curious why you don't make best of 3 videos more often. Either way, love what you do.!

I've been trying to make a Rakdos deck featuring Twinflame and Bloodletter work for a while now. Do you think you could give your thoughts on that? I figure adding in that much damage doubling with some burn spells _has_ to work, but I haven't found the right combo yet.
I'm just now getting into magic arena. Where should I start when it comes to decks and getting packs? It seems like you need to spend a lot of money to catch up.
Need to go enter all the promo codes from past releases (its like 30+ packs in total), there are websites with the list. I think the best way to get the most out of your $$ if you play every day you buy the season/mastery pass for the bonus rewards. Hoard your gold and crystals and spend your mythic and rare wildcards wisely.
If you want to play entirely for free, i would personally recommend playing with the starter decks for a bit and upgrading them as you go. Once you've saved up a bit of in game money, start playing draft. It's a good way to sharpen your skills, and you get to keep all the cards you pull. If you're good enough, the draft will pay for itself and reward you with packs on top of that.
Can anyone help understand this. Today I have played 10+ matches where I was 100% going to win but then doing my opponents turn the game shows the spinning loading thing and then the game crashes. And when I open the game again it does not resume the match but just sends me to the mainmenu like I was never in a match. It only happens when I am about win with a 100% certainty. If I an loosing it never happens. Are there really that many cheaters in MGTA?
Too bad fiery emancipation is no longer standard legal. Imagine triple damage and double damages in your deck! Although it would be pretty expensive to get both them out in time.
@ that’s fair enough honestly I feel like sometimes I over stack my deck , side comment though, you should try making a demon dragon deck , feel like it could be potent cheers !🍻
@@john.flick.c4512 i feel like getting some kinda weird reanimate enchant/creature for 2x-3x damage of all and/or noncombat dmg , aka le jeskay/mardu, would be even more potent oi.
According to gatherer, city on fire does stack if you have multiple copies. Solphim and torbran are legendary so you would need a non legendary copy mechanic.
@RWMAirgunsmithing but I thought replacement effects don't stack, the controller of the object that is being damaged gets to choose which replacement effect is used. Hmmmm I wonder what that's about, or if it changed. Thanks!
@@ericmason1285the replacement effects all stack, but the controller of the receiving permanent or player gets to choose the order they apply in, so if you have a twinflame tyrant and a torbran, they could choose to take double the damage and then add two instead of vice versa, which would make them take 2 less damage due to the added two not being doubled
It's basically the same deck our boy LVD showcased 1-2 weeks ago, so what is your point? Moreover, this dragon deck is basically the same (removal into big beaters)
