Oh my god, I love the technics equipment you showed , brand new and vintage together, what wonderful looking components , I bet they sound as good as they look 👌👍
Hi, Where did you get the foam for the tweeters on the JBL's? I am not sure if they are the same size of not but my L55 speakers need new foam to put around my tweeters.
@@puciohenzap891 I've only seen pictures since mine didn't have them when I bought them. I figured it was a type of foam surround. It's black, I can at least tell that much. So are you saying that I don't need anything around them? I'm guessing that "faceplate" was removed when the speakers were re-foamed and the crossover rebuilt. It really seems that the woofer is 90% of the sound output on these speakers anyway.
Just picked up an Rs130. Fantastic streamer. Sounds better than my old Auralic Aries G2 and vastly better functionality. In the process of restoring an early 80s pair of Tannoy Eatons. Drivers and electronics excellent but building new cabinets due to water damage. Your store looks fantastic. If I wasn't 3000 miles away in Scotland I would love to visit. Those reel to reels are beautiful and put my ancient Sony to shame.
Great vid. Looking forward to your review of the SL-1000R and more of the Technic’s product line. I notice the exhaust system in video. What car is that one going to be installed in??? Music and cars, a great combo.
@@SkyFiAudio I'd love to have Shindo someday but I need to have a house, lol. Meanwhile, I painted a DIY amp Shindo green and just pretend. True story!
But people buy it. I think since they work on the stuff, get it back to 'zero' and probably have a type of warranty on what they sell, even though it's used, people like that peace of mind. I can't afford their prices either but I wish them well. Good brick and mortar used audio shops aren't all that common.
Peace of mind comes with a cost. If you have the skills and resources to manage the associated risk of buying the unknown then go for it. Others understand the value proposition and act accordingly.
Everything we list eventually sells, so I guess there is market for super high quality curated stuff that has been serviced. Bargain shoppers should take their chances on eBay.
Hilarious man, don’t want to come across as a hater etc. Nobody uses a reel to reel today. What will you use that for, recording digitized LP albums from the Technics turntable or FM broadcasts? Do you realize how ridiculous this is? I understand that it’s a neat thing to have but honestly, nobody cares. “Hey let’s play what I recorded on my reel to reel”. 🤣
You can play recordings from fully analog LPs or 15 lps studio master tape copies from specialized audiophile outfits. The latter are very expensive but can sound amazing.
In my opinion HiFi is hobby and folks partake for the fun of it as well as the listening experience. A nice reel to reel measures a 10 in the "fun scale". Folks want them and we have the sales figures to prove it. The silver one in the video sold on the same day it posted.

Thank you very much!
Finally, the SL-1000R. I am waiting for a complete setup and review.
Just finished the video. will be edited and posted this week.

I think we got them from eBay.
@@SkyFiAudio Okay. Yeah, I asked those sellers and those don't fit the tweeter on my JBL's. Thanks.
Uhm, didn't the L55 use the LE20 tweeter with round faceplate and no foam?

Real nice stuff.
that silver technics deck sure is good looking.
It really is! The finish quality is superb too.
Thank you for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Why are those Nagra components not listed on your website?
Looking to complete the set with a pair of VPAs for my Jadis speakers if someone has a set :-).
At 0:56, there is a Nagra CDP, wonder is it for sale? If so, please contact me :)
no sorry, we are holding on to that beauty.
Gleaming. Gleaming fellas

If you ever travel to the NY area we would love to show you around. Good luck with the restoration.
Could I see some Nagra gear by the window at 0.15s?
Be great to feature some in future vids - I know you covered some recorders a while back.
Hey good eye! Yes we have a few nice pieces and some reel to reel recorders too.

That must have been for an E90 M3 that belongs to one of the staff. Good eye!
Was that Shindo under the turntables?
Check out website. They are mono blocks. Super cool

After you showed the JBL 4311, you glossed over the JBL's next to them. Were those L50's?
Think those are super easy L100s. In the process of being restored.
Photo booth. Lol. Nice one.
Its nice to see the Jcorder Technics R2Rs !
Jeff does great work!
The SL-1000R is probably the best turntable ever made.
Nakamichi tx-1000
Stay tuned!
No😂...is is not
It is, because it's actually engineered instead of just 100kg of audiofile heavy metal nonsense you see so much these days.
It’s all subjective
Are U a dealer for Kimber?
Have Kimber Monocle XL cables
Upgraded Kimber Select KS6063
Yup, Kimber is the only cable brand we sell. Let us know if you need anything.
Could have been an interesting video, but the camera work was really distracting: you must learn to keep the camera still.
Sorry about that

Nobody uses RTR decks but the 26cm models sell within minutes/hours. Most people buy them as a gimmick or a decorative piece.
