Was at Axpona last year and noted Technics is working to move it to Accuphase and Luxman territory. This is one gorgeous amp …..I am currently running a Mark Levinson 585.5. Twice the price….killer phono pre-amp. Sounds like you really love the phono section in the Technics.
This has to be the best looking amplifier I've seen. Very simple looking but hypnotic once your eyes catch it. If I was guaranteed this unit could get a lifetime of service like McIntosh, I would get one. But dropping down $10,000 and 5-10 years later it needs service with no one to fix it. I'd have to think very hard before buying.
Always thankful for the videos. I have a very similar set up for my townhouse, also here in Miami. Marantz 40n, klipsch RP 600mMII, Flunace RT85N with 12AWg speaker cables… all under $4000
Thank you Fernando! Love that you added chapters to the video so I could watch the sections that I was most interested in. Prefer with LAPC on, sounded less fatiguing and warmer. It's a good combination of products. Doesn't have the tube appeal but certainly sounded very clean, clear and detailed.
Thanks Fernando for the nice, comprehensive video about this integrated. Couple of huge points, IMHO, the attention paid to the phono and a rec in/out! More manufacturers should pay more attention to this. BUT, as long as we are seeing a returning of R2R and K7, not only one but a COUPLE of these connections were very very much appreciated! After all the details you go through explaining the products, it would be next to impossible for me to question the quality of SkyFi's service. Each video goes into minute details. I am not in the market for an integrated amp, but as I've shared with you before, many manufacturers have been able to overcome major old weaknesses. No one questions the flexibility of separates, yet integrated amps do offer good to great flexibility, with a DAC to go with it. A few even provide bass management. A big thank you from Ohio.
Hey thanks so much for watching and recognizing how much care goes into each piece. Yes indeed, products keep getting better, cant wait to see what's next from Technics. They are taking risks and moving the market forward.
I’ve been hooked on Technics for over 30 years I still have my turntable from 78 cd player cassette deck pre and power amps from 94. Sadly the remotes don’t function any more and I can’t find replacement but the sound quality is still superb. I’d love to own this new integrated amp and the 1200G turntable but at 72 I’m not sure I want to make the investment. I enjoy your videos and the attention to detail. If I were in the market and living in the US I would definitely buy Technics equipment from you.
Thats very kind David. I find lots of older audiophiles are trading in their complex systems for simple integrated amps, I think thats part of the reason they sell so well. Cheers.
Thanks for sharing! This unit would pair well with a TT table and the matching streamer CD player. Killer setup. Nothing wrong with Mac separates, specially if they are tube.

Wish I could afford it I am currently rocking 80s yamaha gear
Nothing wrong with that. Yamaha stuff from the 80 is gorgeous and nicely built.
Meters below volume knob continue to throw me off for some reason. 😅
Someone earlier suggested it was upside down ... hahaha
Niiice
There is no streaming or networking capabilities but they make a second box that mates perfectly with this one and has a built in CD player to boot. Its the SL-G700M2, check it out. skyfiaudio.com/products/network-super-audio-cd-player-sl-g700m2
Fantastic video on an exquisite piece of hi-fi. BTW, isn’t it pronounced TEK’-nicks?
For $10k, it had better have AWD. When I think about what $10k will buy on the vintage market (like a MINT Pioneer SX-1980), this price is way out of bounds for my pocketbook. Plus, the 1980 probably won’t do anything but go up in value.
Indeed if your after the collectivity this is not it, go for the SX. Just keep an extinguisher nearby :-).
@ I had more new stuff go up in flames than old stuff. Granted, none of it was ten grand though.
Like it 😊
I'm glad
