Thanks for the great review. Informative as always!
Very welcome!
that bike though.. I miss my Giant TCR SLR
waiting for the kickr climb add-on review to this kickr move.
I ve never had a smart trainer but want to get one for the winter ...i tried the kickr Move the other day and the clunk u mentioned from side to side put me off buying one ... Would the tacx neo 2t with motion plates be a better set up? The neo 2t with plates can be bought for €500 less
Seen a lot of reviews on this. The most popular feature appears to be the lockout...not a good sign for a motion system. The side movement is almost nothing and Eight inches of forward stroke seems excessive compared to all the other motion platforms out there.
I'd have to agree that it would be hard to utilize the full 8 inches of fore/aft movement, but the side to side movement is actually noticeable and makes a difference.
What’s your daily trainer des?
thank you for the video which one would you suggest to buy kickr move or bike shift? i usually ride indoors... thank you
That's a tough one...great movement from the MOVE but there's the convenience of the SHIFT
I am trying to decide between Kickr V6 or Move. It is my first indoor trainer purchase after getting into cycling 3 years ago.🤔
I'm a big fan of the Move especially for longer sessions where it can reduce fatigue. Happy riding!
I have a tacx vortex smart and it is total garbage, used it once in years. I seriously wonder why I should buy an expensive trainer which needs mounting my street bike so it is not available for the street instead of getting myself a proper speed/ spinning bike. What do you think where is the advantage here?
Spin bikes do not have the same dimensions as road bikes and most of them do not have a freewheel (i.e. they feel like riding a fixed gear; the pedals keep moving when you stop pedaling). Also, you can take your road bike on and off of a trainer, it's not fixed on there permanently as you might already know. I would also venture to suggest that spin bikes are not designed for hours-long sessions, whereas smart trainers with a road bike can be suitable for several hours on the bike.
😊
