Wow!! Loved this video!!! I felt like I stopped by to visit !!! All of your prepped projects are fabulous!! Love the new music by G too!! You are not alone...always seeing new things you must have. Between quilting and needlework, it’s never ending!!! Can’t wait to sit back and watch you two on the road!!!
Thank you so much Anna for sharing our light table again on your video. I love ALL of your fun projects!! I hope you and G have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New year. Can't wait to see what you and G have in store for your viewers in 2019
You inspired me to try wool appliqué, and I begin my first project today. I am hooked! Now, you inspire me to do sashiko! Lovely music! Stay hydrated, and thank you for sharing!
Love you girl, love your videos! Thank you for taking the time to make them!! I live 100+ miles from a fabric, embroidery, or quilt shop but now with the internet -- yea!!!
Sew delightful watching you and thank you for sharing yourself with us!!! My main passion is sewing smocked and heirloom outfits for my baby grand daughters (a big thing here in the deep South), BUT then I watch you and want to make your projects. You are just the bee's knee.
Hi Anna and Enzo. I like being in the Bee Hive with you to see what's next on your agenda. You have so many beautiful projects. G's new ending music is really nice! See you in the next video.
Anna, thank you for showing the Sashiko method, as it is getting more and more harder for me to do handwork due to my achy hands ; i think i can try this and see!!!
Love your music G. Anna you don’t have a virus, you have let’s of creative energy which I can relate to. That’s what makes it fun to watch your videos. Looking forward to seeing where you and G go next time.
So I watched you while finishing up a Christmas pillow for my little granddaughter ...this video was truly like a visit.. you were sitting on my cutting table just talking away while I cut out the borders. I was sad when you left my sewing room! Mackenzie the poodle sitting on the floor by me. Loved the visit with Enzo. May I just say he is so well behaved. I told Mackenzie about how well behaved he was. She was not as impressed as I was, but she is 11 years old and is not much impressed with younger poodles 🙂 I love all the handwork you showed. For some reason, I am in a “not much enthusiasm for big quilts “ mood right now -so hand work is where it is. You inspired me. Going to the website for the cross stitch embroidery after this. Thank you for the visit today, I so enjoyed our little talk🌲🙂 Glenda and Mackenzie the poodle
On Glenda...you tell Mackenzie that Enzo if going on 10 so he is not so young, lol...I can see how she wouldn't be impressed after all he only behaves for treats. I also am not into big quilts these days except when someone in the family requests one...just keep on stitching in my mantra!
I have got to stop watching your videos before I go to work!! I always end up wanting to stay home and stitch or quilt lol. I LOVE the Be Kind embroidery!! Oh and your shirt is awesome...my most favourite books and plays of all time!
Always a pleasure spending time in the beehive with you, Anna! I did have to pause you for a moment and order the Gail Pan book...love it... but I came right back! 😉 Thank you for sharing!
Haven't crafted in quite sometime. I have a holiday 'block where I Haven't t wanted to craft Watching this this afternoon, I am inspired to take it one day at a time for crafting. Don't have any real family to craft for, but gonna do some stuff for shut-ins like myself.TFS I needed this. Happy Holidays to you and your family. Treaure family everyone for there are folks that basically could use something crafted by loving hands like yours.
Thank you for a fun and interesting afternoon in the bee hive. G did a great job of editing so we saw the best of the best! Music 🎵 was very lively. What a good boy, Enzo! 😁👏 Merry Christmas 🎄🎁
Lol Anna...I have to laugh out loud.......you’re such a fun person to listen to..I wish I could do some of those things..but..my stitching has gone down the tubes...so I only do wool appliqué anymore......looks like you’ll be busy for quite some time...have fun...🌻🐝
You are so confident removing your pins and taking off your pattern. I have to admit I’d take the pins off at one side and check before unpinning the second side; just in case I missed something as I’ve been known to do with my light table. Which is easier to reposition than when you are tracing sashiko. I’ve been prepping my block two of Fresh Cut and the centre panel of Something’s Fishy today. Today December 13 they are replacing.our electric in my block or condos and will have no power from 8-4! Heading to my mom’s condo so I can continue the prep work in the morning. We’ve got another rainstorm happening again today.
Your not the only one that has been sucked in with Buttermilk Basin 12 days of Christmas!!! I tell myself I'm going to work on the ornaments during camping season but....their just too cute to set aside. 14 new ornaments completed for myself 😍 You have inspired me to prep extras for Christmas gifts next year. Those I will pack up for camping season.
My girlfriends and I went to our favorite quilt/wool shop which is 2 hours away. They have so many wonderful wool kits that we were crazy nuts for everything but we now say we have enough projects to keep us stitching until 3039!!!!! 😂😜🙃. And yet every time we make the trip, we ALWAYS buy more. So we can totally relate to your craziness. Lol
I feel a little better now....you should see how many cross stitch projects that I have partially kitted laying all over my sewing room! I really liked the table runner but it gave me a couple moments pause when you held it up after marking it. If done entirely in green it could be mistaken for the new flag of Colorado....(where I live). Should be beautiful in autumn colors!!! Dang it...now I need that too. Lol Thanks for the great video!
Hi Anna, I love following your travels. Would you tell me where you found the Christmas stocking pattern with the fox on it? I have a friend who has a pet fox. She would love it. Merry Christmas
So many awesome projects Anna 👏..are you sure the Birds in Flight want to be at your house? I think they rather be at mine 😂🤣. And that ribbon..omg love it. Got my bags packed for Arizona..very exciting and very cool music G. 😘💐💕
I really want to try one of Sylvia Pippin's sashiko designs. Maybe you could do a short tutorial or blog post on picking one for beginners? I have done cross stitch and embroidery in the past but it's been quite a while. And I've never done Sashiko.
you will so enjoy it...I recommend her pre-printed patterns first to get the hang of it...I love doing them and making pillows or wall hangings out of them...here is the link... www.sylvia-pippen.com/shop/Sashiko--Applique-Store/Preprinted-Sashiko-Fabric-Panels.htm
@@quiltroadies1695 thank you I agree. A preprinted would eliminate the copying step and cut down on potential errors. The 2019 BOM looks fabulous but I also love all the sea life ones she offers. Think I'll order the smallest, simplest one and try it. I'll let you know. Thanks again
Here's a bit of stitching humor for you Anna. It goes like this " You know you've had enough caffeine when you can thread the needle while it's already stitching". What kind of a pen do you use to trace your patterns and where do you get the stabilizer you put on the back of your project?
I don't see why not...not sure you can see it in the video but on the wall above the windows is a Red stitchery of a sewing machine...I embroidered that off the internet and it turned out that it originally was a cross stitch pattern!
hello there - you are a delight! I have a question for you but I don't know that you will see it since this is an "old' video but, by stiffening the sashiko fabric won't that impede your ability to do the long running stitches that purposefully gather up the fabric as you go? And won't that cause difficulty when pushing the needle through the gathered fabric? Thanks!!!
surprisingly I haven't had a problem...with that said the thread provided was a little tougher than the the white Egyptian cotton thread. I normally don't back all my Sashiko with SF101
Love having a mug of tea (or two) with you while you work in the beehive. Some time would you tell us where/why you use the Wooly Mammoth name? I love your information and chatter, Enzo is a good boy, and thanks for the music, G!!
LOL...I am addicted to wool and when I started to write and wanted Wool in the name everything was taken...I tried all kinds of variations of Wool...then I decided no one would use Woolie Mammoth...but noooo it took me several tries till I found this spelling that no one had used! Then I had my older son who is an artist to draw me a Woolie Mammoth that looked like a girl, lol

Hi Anna, a fountain of inspiration...what kind of pen are you using to copy the designs on your fabric?
It is a stylus that I ordered from Sylvia Pippen Designs and a pack of her tracing paper :)
Thank you for a lovely video, I would like to do the Gail Pan pattern could you let us know which pattern book the pattern is in please?
The book is called "Patchwork Loves Embroidery Too" have fun!
