I think they want to celebrate Rupaul's skin color so they didn't change it, she does have dragon ears. The Eclipse maybe representing her as a Black Dragon, of Dungeons and Dragons' lore. "Black dragons, also known as skull dragons, were far and away the most vile tempered and cruel of all chromatic dragons. They were solitary creatures that lived in the swamps and marshlands, and uses Acid Breath." Acid may be Rupaul's signature roasting ability, to read each other and throw shade. So harsh it burns.
The doll looks okay but I think that the dress should have been more glittery or at least look like scales and the hair seems to not be big enough. The hair not being massively fluffy I get because it came that way from the factory but there needs to be more height to it.
I do wish they had done more with shadows/smokes and the light part of light/dark, but she is still STUNNING. The sculpting is unparalleled.

She needs some silver dry brushing or chrome details... Otherwise it does look better in person than what I've seen from the promos

You should try miraculous ladybug dolls you might like them. It is my favorite doll line. BTW love the video
