    That last scene brought back so many memories 😭.
    It reminded me of everything that has happened to them since they set out in search of Ian... and now, after so many years and having found a place to call home and where they have built a beautiful family, after so many ups and downs , many feel good moments but many losses too, FINALLY THEY WILL RETURN TO THE PLACE WHERE IT ALL STARTED🥺✨😭.
    It's so emotional to see them back and I can't wait.❤❤❤
    SO, see you next year 🙌🏻☺️

    I have to say, of all the OL reactors i follow, the journey with you was especially fun and most of what you say is just so relatable to me. Until next season, I'll catch you on the occasional upload

    God the end of episode 8 made me cry sooo much. All the memories connected to Scotland from season 1 and 2 in this scene came up again, underlined with this beautiful Gaelic song.❤😢
    I hope Jamie and William get to know each other (haven’t read the books). Also am I the only one that noticed they used a different dog for Rollo in season 7?🤔

      You're not alone. This dog is darker on his face. I guess Dewey never got the bit about following commands. If you see the outtakes, he was always heading the opposite way than directed. Beautiful dogs, though.

    Sam Heughan can reduce me to tears at any time because of the level of his dedication to playing Jamie. And once again Jamie's left hand. The last time his hand was in that kind of shape was after Black Jack Randall crushed it with the hammer and drove the nail through it. I really need Mr. Bug to "BUG-off" only with the usual swear word. Great reaction again Evie. Now on Droughtlander....... 💞 Now would you do "The Last of Us?" And congratulations to the upcoming little Evie. Wishing you a smooth birth and motherhood. Sending tons of love and hugs to you and your family. 💖💓💖

    Claire lernt General Arnold kennen . Sie erzählt Jamie , was mit ihm passiert .
    Vieles passiert in der letzten Folge von Staffel 7 .
    Nun müssen wir eine Weile warten , bis es weiter geht .
    💯❤💘👌

    Evie, congratulations on your baby! I can't wait to hear if you had a boy or girl and what name you chose for your little one. Enjoy every minute of Droughtlander bonding with your new baby. I loved the ending of this episode. No dramatic, nail-biting cliff hanger...just the promise of a new adventure in Scotland where all the magic started. I'm really looking forward to Jamie and Claire (and Ian) being back home and seeing Ian, Sr. and Jenny again. I've only read halfway into A Breath of Snow and Ashes, so I have no idea what the story holds for Roger and Jemmy. I'm really looking forward to the second half of Season 7!

    13:56 Every time I watch this episode I am struck by how Jamie and William never share the screen except for this one shot, where there is a huge distance between them. Any other scene that they are both in this season, the camera moves back and forth between them.
    The explanation for why Ian left Rollo with Rachel is somewhat weak in the show. In the books, he had no choice but the leave Rollo behind because Rollo was injured in an altercation (a deleted story line), and Rachel volunteered to nurse him back to health while he went to Scotland.
    Congratulations on your new baby!

    • @eviereacts

      Good thing they didn't include that Rollo storyline, I don't think I would've survived it😥

  • @SarahManley
    @SarahManley 10 месяцев назад +2

    Think of Rollo as an engagement ring-Ian loves Rachel and he entrusts his Rollo to her. The ultimate thing he loves.

    It’s a great show based on a true spy ring that helped turn the war

    I didn't see that anyone answered you. The quote Jamie shared with Benedict Arnold, "A man's grasp should exceed his reach", is from a poem by Robert Browning "Andrea del Sarto". I am not sure when the poem was written but Browning would not be born until 1812.

    In the books Jamie kind of sneaks up on William, stuffs the hat on his head saying "I owe ye a hat, Sir." and hurries away. William sees no more than the back of his red head. Jamie is avoiding William seeing him because, like Brianna, he looks JUST like his father. Anyone seeing them together would know it right away. (My oldest brother is a cookie cutter exact match for our father so it does happen, for sure.) It's kind of funny the occasional hoops Jamie jumps through to keep William from seeing him. In the show of course they dropped that idea because it's hard to come up with someone who's as lovely as our Sweet Sam. They came close enough with Charles Vandervaart, I guess he'll do. 😘

    Great review. We’ll all be on tenterhooks over what will happen in S7, part 2 next year. Good luck on the upcoming birth of your child in September. Didn’t know you were expecting. Hope all goes well, and you and your partner find joy in parenthood. Will you name the child Jamie (if it’s a boy) or Claire (if it’s a girl)?

    Is that Simon Fraser, Jamie's cousin, the same character from Season 2 (The Fox's Lair) episode? Obviously it's a different actor but his name was Simon Fraser too. I can't remember in the books if that Simon died in Culloden and if this is just another cousin named Simon.

    • @MeyaRoseGirl
      @MeyaRoseGirl 10 месяцев назад +4

      Different cousin. Jamie mentioned a few episodes ago that it wasn't the same cousin Claire had met.

      @jcr-studios Angus Macfadyen, the actor who played Simon Fraser in this episode, also co-starred in the film Braveheart as Robert the Bruce. I thought he looked familiar, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it at first. He's such a great actor!
