@@Commonsenseiscommonsense However I believe many Americans voted for him in 2016 because they had valid grievances about things like wealth disparity which he promised to address. He didn’t, of course, but it’s ok for people to have made that mistake, and to come back to reason. Our current president has literally answered the valid grievances these folks had, which is proven by the legislative record and the data which back up the results.

Hey did you see the president’s address about the PACT act?! Because of it I found out the Vietnam vet in my family could now get more coverage and benefits.. exposure to agent orange.. 20 new conditions now count. For vets of other places too, of course, exposed to toxic stuff. I didn’t know. It makes a huge difference in my family. Anyway, thank your husband for his service from an American girl living in a country once subjugated by the Soviet Union, close to Ukraine. NATO is around me and Ukrainians hold the first line of defence for Europe. The choice to serve means something. Hugs from across the world. 💙🤗🇺🇸

I went to see John McCain lying in state. I will never vote for a man who criticised his capture and 8 years as a POW in Vietnam. Despicable is right. I’m voting for Joe, 100%. Thank you for your family’s sacrifice. Because of people who chose to serve I am safe here in europe where I currently live, close to Ukraine, with NATO forces around me, and Ukrainians holding the first line of defence for Europe. Thank you for your service. I know you probably hear that a lot, but to me it means a great deal. I live in a NATO country, once unwillingly part of the Soviet Union, close to Ukraine. Because of those who chose to serve, I am safe right now. The competent men and women of NATO are around me, including Americans, and Ukrainians hold the front line for Europe. 1/2 of republicans voted no to aid Ukraine, and delayed bringing the package to a vote for seven months. I cannot vote for the former president or anyone in his party. Voting for Joe, who didn’t call you guys names, and who will stand by our partners, allies, and friends. I too am an old veteran. I’ve known about Trump’s shenanigans for over 40 years which is why I could NEVER pull the lever for him. However, I thank you for coming to the realization of who and what Trump really is because he has cast some unbelievable spell on his supporters. Pre Trump, families would get together. Opposing politics would come up, with relatives. Discussed respectfully and calmly. The worst that would happen? Agreeing to disagree and moving onto the family goings on. Since Trump, arguments break out both verbal and or physical. Disowning opposing family. To the point grandparents are cut off from their kids and grandkids. This all plays right into Trumps design. It needs to stop. Trump should never take precedents over ones own family. And all the reasons his destructive reign needs to end. We need Biden and Dems in and TRUMP and his MAGA owned party gone.

Jim, I see the Elmo chair in the background and am so happy that you are doing a good thing for your family. It warms my heart,and thank you for being a strong and kind example,as well as giving service to our country in so many ways.
Please tell your friends this stuff. Myself, I have a brother that has been a minister, at some level, for almost 50 years, and because I didn't conform to his 'conservative' world view, my opinion has always been discounted, and voted for trump 2 times. The republican party doesn't even TRY to pretend that morals and character have anything to do with becoming president anymore. I remember when Gary Hart was a potential Democratic candidate, and a photo of him on a boat with a woman besides his wife was the end of his political career - for reasons of morals and character.
My MIL was an Evangelical minister. She was a different bird. Firmly believed in separation of church and state. Any discussions of politics was off the table on the pulpit or privately. If questioned? She would say its something they need to pray on. She believed her calling was bible and scripture. Those in government had their own separate calling....Basically, not her job to be involved in. When it came to Billy Graham, she would say everyone has their own calling. Not for me to judge what is God's to judge.

I am a Vietnam veteran and the January 6th insurrection still just sickens me to no end my brother and his wife think it was ok, I really hate having to tolerate them unfortunately I live in Florida and they seem to be the majority. This place is becoming so corrupt it is truly unbelievable it really sucks but I am stuck here so I have to grin and bear it.

I hear ya Jim I lost a friendship of 54 years and played football with him on the high school team, and we were best buds and then trump came along and things went sideways and on Dec 23, 2023, he died and now we can't get our friendship back. It would be nice if all of the trumpets could see the light and make a change in our country..at least my parents aren't alive to see this..I took the OATH to protect America and it's still good...
Losing a close friend before differences can be resolved is horrible...
