Sotheby's to sell the largest Ruby ever auctioned

Sotheby's New York is putting up for sale the largest ruby ever to be auctioned. The 55-carat ruby is named the "Estrela de Fura." (6 June) (AP Video: David R. Martin)

This was the stone acquired by GRS Swisslab as rough. The cutter they contracted did a phenomenal job. Untreated as I recall, which makes this gem especially rare. They have a video about the entire process on their channel. Well worth the watch.
