Autopilot engagement on ground

Auto pilot is able to engage with engines turned off.

What I am assuming is that since no mode is engaged, AP on the FMA just means the AP button has been pressed.

@@ZK-APA the FMA indicates which modes are currently active. You could also pull the heading knob with an engaged AP on ground and it would set HDG as active lateral mode.

@@airflo_muc not necessary. If the mode is written in blue, that means its armed, but not active. Which is the case here.
