@@midnightscavenger1449 Yeah, if the Jedi Order hadn't become corrupt and a puppet of to the Republic, maybe the existence of Grey Jedi could have been a reality. At least, a lot of Jedi who felt to the dark side wouldn't have, instead have learned to use and control their negative emotions, rather than just outright deleting them through brainwashing from an early age. Even Count Dooku, for example, wouldn't have turned if he was taught to control his emotions, rather than being neglected by Yoda.
He always was, the force wanted him to bring balance, if the jedi didn't see this and neglected anakin well... The force: alright I was going to wipe out just the sith and give you a chance but you're also going down now.
@Jiomancy I would like to disagree on both points. The interpretation of the Force is honestly still up for debate, one side considers it to be black and white, good and evil, normal and sick, the other looks more at Legends provided examples and sees them as two sides of the same coin, one which uses the power of knowledge and the other the power of emotions. If you look at the world realistically, you know that nothing is ever black and white, only different shades of grey, and it's from that way of thinking that I believe that Luke's Jedi Order in Legends, made to be different from the old order and embrace what is called true balance of the force, leading many former dark side users to join, despite their remaining connection to the dark side, learning to use and control their emotions, including their darker ones, to their benefit, rather than let them be consumed by them. When it comes to Canon examples there are two main points for me: first, if the force in order to be balanced just needed to destroy the dark side, its sick part, then why did fate choose to have both the Sith and the Jedi annihilated? If Qui Gon Jin had won against Maul, Anakin would have received training from, arguably, the Jedi that understood more about the failures of the Jedi Order at the time more than anyone else. Yet, the story that was told tells us that in order for there to be balance, both sides had to dwindle until they both disappeared. And Qui Gon Jin was one of the only Jedi that predicted the fate of the Jedi in that regard. Which brings me to my second point, if dark side users can get blinded by darkness, then light side users can get blinded by light, just like the old Jedi Council was. While the dark side blinds the user who taps too hard into the ability of using their emotions to become more powerful, making them lose reason, the light side blinded the order with it's promise of knowledge and enlightenment, making them both complacent and unable to understand any matters that cannot be resolved by the power of the mind, making them blind to the truth that listening to your heart is essential for us all. As for the last part, no, I do not believe the Jedi even tried to help Anakin control his emotions, they were unqualified for the job because they didn't understand those very emotions themselves. The terrible advice Yoda gave Anakin is a great example of this, Anakin needed answers, an opinion on what he should do, and above all, he needed to have someone emphasize with him, but got none of that. The reason, like I said, is because all Jedi were trained from such an early age because Jedi teachings demanded for such emotions to be destroyed, the children were brainwashed, like I said. If you want to believe in your version in how the Force works, you're free to do so, just know that this is not an objective topic and is instead open to discussion, nobody is technically wrong here.
Anakin was dipping into anger there. Granted Anakin is in the right morally to be angry about slavery. However this also shows how he is on the path to the dark side.
Anakin had such a great potential to become one of the best Jedi ever. It’s just so sad that he had a really bad childhood and up brining in the cruel world
This shows more than his past. He could of desperately wanted to help free other slaves but he choose to focus on enacting revenge on the slaver. Really shows you his priorities

I'm glad he listened to Obi-wan here...I understand Anakins anger with a slaver considering what his life was before he was found by the Jedi, but he needs to just be away from the slaver and let Obi-wan handle it before he does something he'll regret.
The Jedi Order completely failed Anakin, and Obi Wan was part of that sadly. Nothing done to soothe his anger, heal his broken heart, make him feel secure in the Order, or even feel like he could be authentic with them. If they had even slightly cared about his development then he could’ve taken a much different path, but his destiny was also the Jedi’s destiny, both fated to perish.
