here's a suggestion you take a group of these trivia participants and have them try to come up with trivia questions max can't answer there's a lot of ways you could do this but i think it would be really fun
You guys should do a Pirates playoff drought Ref Guess of players who played on the Pirates between 1993-2012. Just try to avoid the ones that were traded to the Yankees
I was having fun looking at Aaron Judges split stats on CBS and kept giggling at the OPS. When he had a bad split, he still has an OPS around .900, his September, I remember at the time being stunned, it is even crazier in retrospect. His post all star!!! Holy man!!! He was hitting a homer every 8 at bats. Wild.
Love this series!: Here are ten random ones, hopefully one or two are good 1) Canadian MLB players 2) pitchers who have thrown no hiiters/perfect games (final could be catchers who have caught multiple), 3) players who have played in 3+ California teams 4) trade deadline players/traded who won world series that year with team they were traded to 4) mlb players who played in little league world series 5) players who bat and throw with opposite hands 6) players with animals for their last name 7) Players born in New England 8) Multi-sports athletes- Players who played another sport in college or were drafted by another sports league 9) Players who have been suspended for PEDs, 10) Players with Jr or Sr names
Idea for a MLB connect grid special: the original 16 teams from 1956 (athletics, Yankees, red sox, white Sox’s, senators (twins), tigers, guardians, and orioles for the Al. Braves, giants, Dogers, cubs, pirates, Phillies, cardinals, and reds of the Nl). 30 minute time limit, the goal is to get 8 players in a row (like a really big tic tac toe).
Loved Andrew Miller on the Yankees, cant believe he was only with us for 1.5 years though; felt like more. A little harsh not to give Nick and Jack the benefit of the doubt with the wrong Molina lol, maybe give them a new hard round lol
How about one to test how big fans everyone is of their team... instead of a single answer question, it's a 'name as many as you can' and pick a random year during their lifetime and have them name as many members of the team that year. (or if you want it easier and are going back farther, have them name from a decade). Alternately, you could have them have to name as many players at a specific position in the teams history... Rick Cerone, Yogi Berra, Jorge Posada sort of stuff. (Jeesh... I'm blanking, I can't even think of the HOF catchers for the Yanks besides Yogi and I know there were a few).
As a cleveland baseball fan, i completely blanked on Johnny Damon because he finished his career in Cleveland, and I couldn't remember he played here at all.
I don't know how I have zero recollection of Kelly Johnson. Decent career, and on some teams, I remember, but his existence was just erased from my brain at some point.
I got 2 of the 3 right. That last one kind of screwed me up. I thought Benji Molina, not José. I think I deserve a half check on that..... right family, wrong family member. I even got the bonus question because I love that type of useless trivia
i am going to guess jose molina for hard as i am remembering his jr jays baseball card next to jose bautista and rickie romero (sorry about the botched spelling) but a cool and wired moment because it was jose molina and jp arencibia as the two cathers for the jays.
I love that the super hard Trivia Question was paired with such a large pool. Shows how difficult it really was.
💯
14:03 Jolly saying you bastard is the highlight of this video 😂😂
It’s also the fact that he didn’t put Max in the inner circle after the fact.
💯😂

Kelly Johnson is an obvious guess for the tiebreaker since he had three or four of the teams in a single season.
I think some AL West love would be awesome for one of the next episodes
Okay fine, all A's trivia
"You used to be a sweet boy, now you're a mean man." - Jake
I got Andrew Miller and Johnny Damon so instantly then Jose Molina killed me
Same

Steve Pearce and Kelly Johnson. For some reason the trivia felt like a layup as an O’s fan.
Catcher only episode with a very hard round!
Love seeing Jack rocking the old Mariners tee.
I would 1000% buy a “I got hard with Jack and Jack” shirt 😂😂
Lol
I was yelling Steve Pierce at my phone 😂😂😂
I love Name That Molina almost as much as I love RefGuess.
Wow I got all 3! That trivia was impossible I wouldn’t have gotten either guy kudos to Jake for pulling Steve Pearce
The trivia hurt me bc they didn't say Steve Pearce for the longest time. (BOS fan)
thank u jake

This needs to be a game show for fans!
Do a ref guess where the topic is the player played in every division
First time I ever did equally as well as the winners at the final circle question! So happy!

Jolly lookin mighty fine today 💯
Lucas continues to prove himself as an elite participant

this is an amazing idea
Loved Andrew Miller on the Yankees, cant believe he was only with us for 1.5 years though; felt like more. A little harsh not to give Nick and Jack the benefit of the doubt with the wrong Molina lol, maybe give them a new hard round lol
Absolutely should do NL East, maybe 30 home runs on 2 different teams?
Kelly shoppach ❤️ BBD saying his name made my day
Growing up a Red Sox fan, his name is forever etched in my memory because he was hit by a pitch in his first big league plate appearance
I knew steve pearce instantly but was struggling with the other. Knew it was Kelly something but I was stuck on Kelly Shoppach.
Jose Benjamin Molina is the younger brother of Benjamin (Bengie) Jose Molina. Parents felt like confusing the whole world with that one...
@Message-jmbaseball ah sorry, man, I don't have telegram :/
BBD with my favorite trivia question answer. Who was the last homer at old Yankee stadium
Andrew Miller was soooooooooooo good in 2016. Between him and Kluber, they nearly brought that title home
Great last question, love seeing the guessers get frustrated, well done
I always feel old when they mention how far back a dude is and I remember him almost immediately.
I actually did good today, all 3! But here's an idea, players that have played for both 2 team cities, so both NY, Chicago, or LA teams!
No way he said Yadier, Bengie, and Hideki 😂😂
I wanna say Kelly Johnson almost did the Tour de NL East too, I think he only needed Philly to finish it
He played for 2/5. Braves and Mets.
Jolly’s caving to the pressure of all the Yankees fans in the building
Twins fan, only got the Hard prompt which feels weird, although I felt very dumb about the Easy one. Love these!

First one I missed. Damn Jose Molina
I loved this trivia because it included Orioles LEGEND Steve Pearce
As a cleveland baseball fan, i completely blanked on Johnny Damon because he finished his career in Cleveland, and I couldn't remember he played here at all.
6:03 shoulda slid a Roman ad read in right there.
They almost got me to second guess with my Molinas. But I know Bengie was a ranger
I fuckin love Joez man. The second he realises he's timed he compltely loses all critical thinking. Me too Joez, me too
This was a really fun one!
Kyle kondor! IUP! Represent.
Watching a fellow IUP alum, on an IUP Alum invention (RUclips)
Niceeee
Yooo Aaron! What’s up my man
100% again. Jose tripped me up but gottem
My refguess is players thats won WS with the even year giants and a WS with another team. There are 4 players.
Lol being a yanks fan this was ez but that trivia was tough..the first name that popped up was aceves 😂
I was literally just abou to give up on the first one, then I said "OOOOOOOOOH. Its Jonny Damon.
Future Theme Suggestion: batting title winners
Ahhh my favourite Molina brother, Hideki Molina 😭😭😭😭
Proud to have gotten all 3, got Steve Pearce but not kelly johnson
I got these in a combined 9 seconds, as a Yankees fan these were layups
Do not cite the deep magic to me, witch! I was there when it was written!
Nicky, Miller was fastball slider pitcher
I don't know how I have zero recollection of Kelly Johnson. Decent career, and on some teams, I remember, but his existence was just erased from my brain at some point.
I'm very much biased, but I'd love to see a Venezuelan players edition of RefGuess
I met Bengie Molina in person around 6 years ago and he still follows me on instagram and likes my posts to this day. I’m a huge Cardinals fan
I got Steve Pearce right away, couldn't get the other one.
I got 2 of the 3 right. That last one kind of screwed me up. I thought Benji Molina, not José.
I think I deserve a half check on that..... right family, wrong family member.
I even got the bonus question because I love that type of useless trivia
my success is directly correlated to whether the player was in the MVP Baseball 2005 roster
I got Pearce right away. Completely forgot about Johnson...
Next week all 60s-80s
We love ref guess
Rich Hill needs the Blue Jays to become the 3rd to do it!
i instantly thought the first one was johnny damon
Players to play 10+ years without making playoffs
I got the 2 other Molina first names confused myself lol
These infants talking about the mid-90s like the land before time breaks my aged soul.
And it’s not as if Johnny Damon was some scrub who had a super short career either.
Max Mannis is the undisputed GOAT and should always be listed at the top
27 seconds into the video and I already think the answer to the final question is Steve Pearce, the only man who played for all 5 AL East teams.
I don’t know why I kept thinking Dioner Navarro
2 out of 3! God damn I’m mad at myself for not getting the hard this week.
"the first and last homer in a stadium" is a great stats that exist but don't matter.
You need to do one of just cardinals. And cubs
I'll be honest, I recognized the 2nd one by the picture lol
Yes!! Got them all. But I'm also from Anaheim.🤣
I really love refguess
i am going to guess jose molina for hard as i am remembering his jr jays baseball card next to jose bautista and rickie romero (sorry about the botched spelling) but a cool and wired moment because it was jose molina and jp arencibia as the two cathers for the jays.
:20 in and I’m already assuming Steve Pearce is a player in this video.
Max’s streak continues.
Cater to the Yankees fans by making one about players on teams that beat the Yankees in the playoffs
Hard was actually easy for me being an Angels fan. Missed medium though
idea: name phillies/royals players by stats because super bowl is coming up
You gotta find a way to do position players who have pitched
rockies theme lol
Very easy. Steve Pearce stumped me
that first one is so easy once you see the AS in Boston in 2005 followed by going to the yanks... looks like jesus, acts like judas, throws like mary
dalton continues to have some of the worst guesses when he doesn't know the player. how did he end up at carlos pena lol
Mixed up Carlos Ruiz and… Francisco Peña?
He’s quite annoying as is, his guesses just make it worse
Dalton fkin sucks dude, guy needs to stick to behind the scenes work get him tf off our screens
C. I think it would mean a lot
Got medium and hard just by their blacked out photos. Give us Yankees fans a real test Mr. J
I had a brain fart and said Shelby Miller instead of Andrew Miller. But I got the other two easily.
players who played for the angels and dodgers?
can you do some more players who werent on the Yankees or Mets
dont put the silhouette it spoils it
9:10 Carlos Peña? Jesus christ
Guess the player who played for a team who doesn't exist anymore. (Ex Expos, Senators, Pilots)
Carlos Peña!?
