    Hell yes, knew that Lance Johnson right off the top of my head. Had his baseball card when I was 9y/o and remember seeing that 21 triples stat like it was yesterday.

      Lance Johnson was one of my fave Sox as a kid, and definitely a throwback player. He used a giant bat, and slapped so many balls to the gap for triples. He was also a GG-lvl defender that never got his due.

      Glen Allen Hill was a good guess too he was right he had a cup of coffee on that 2000 Yankees team. My guess was Tom Goodwin. Never even heard of Lance Johnson lol that was a really hard one.

    Lance Johnson is definitely a name that I was never going to remember until someone said his name and then all my memories of him came RUSHING back into my head. Also, yet another example of how I would have been a STUD at Refguess in the early to mid 90's but am terrible at it now because I don't follow players not on the Mets as closely now as I did when I was a kid and the memories of those players that I had then are just fading into the background.

    you should do a spin on this where you do players who only played in that one city/state, but they played for every team in that city/state (example: Chicago, Texas, LA, New York…)

      Totally different archetypes, but a shockingly good pull when you think about it. Both were 98 Cubs and Y2K Yanks. Glenallen never played for the Sox though.

    I love watching everyone struggle with older National League players.
    The Ref Guess is great, but I'd also be interested in changing the format slightly - like if all players' active years were given to everyone, and then the JM team had to pick one stat line at a time to be revealed, that would be interesting. If I can guess the player with just home runs and awards but it takes you HR, BA, and teams played for, then I would win. Just a thought!
