  • Fluke and Porgy are the main fish cuisine in NYC come mid July. You can fish bait or artificial Gulp for both. As a bonus you can get free bait off the beach. Here are two ways to catch and put food on the table. Whether you want free bait or bring a pack of gulp to the beach, both work.

    You are da man!
    I was out there before sunrise and was catching all Flukes. They were close in the shallows.
    Once the sun came out the Flukes moved back out of range of my 1/4oz jig and the Searobins moved into the shallows.
    I remembered seeing this video and switched to the Epoxy jig w gulp and BAM! Back on the Fluke!
    Thanks for that man

      The single jig works great but you can cover a lot of ground with the epoxy. Especially if you gotta cast into the wind. Glad it worked out bud, cheers

    • @BobAquatic
      @BobAquatic  4 месяца назад +1

      Thank you for watching. I wait till the fish grabs the jig then set it immediately. You'll get the hang of it but takes trial and error. Most people set the hook too early learning. You gotta wait till you get that thump, pause, then set it. Similar to striped bass. Never tried nightcrawlers, I bet it'd kinda work but seems gimmicky. Rather use sand worms or something salty that is natural forage.
