My rational was that just like the stickers the cardboard would get wet and disintegrate. Plus I would have to keep the whole box. but yes lol that’s what the holes are for.🙏❤️🦘🐶🇦🇺

Yeah, there is a lot of it, and a lot I don’t film !! I’m yet to catch footages southern cross spider and web… as I normally walk into those bastards before I see them. Not only are they really interesting web they are a bloody, huge spider that has venomous and I’m always waiting to feel what part of my body it is running on. Lol it usually always at night time. Lol.🙏❤️🐶🇦🇺🦘

@@AdriansFishroom I just looked up pictures of the southern cross. It reminds me of A spider we have in the states that we call a banana spider! I’m always running into several of them every time I go fishing. They will bounce their webs at you if you get too close to warn you off lol

Great vid mate loving the laid back Aussie way of it. your place is beautiful as is its wildlife especially the bird life and reptiles. The brown tree snakes are mildly venomous and rear fanged they envenomate by chewing as they’re swallowing.

Sweeeet ! 🙌🏻 and surprisingly not too bad around here. I breed them in buckets outside and sweet post buckets every night for the lava so I tend to break the lifecycle around the house and we have fewer mosquitoes because I’m breeding for them as food. Yeah those turtles will travel a long way I had one in the drain in the driveway last week. I’d be 2 kms from the creek. But I’m sure he came up the drains cause they’ve been full of water for weeks now. I was so tempted to keep him but was running late for an appointment so didn’t have time to grab him and set anything up.
Yeah they are pretty amazing that way. I let mine go yesterday and that’s in next weeks video 🙏🇦🇺🐶❤️🦘

Loved the Ziggy chill out section, a lot of content creators don't show enough sections of just spending part of their videos showing the tanks and the inhabitants, lets us all chill out 🙂. Also maybe one for the future where you could occasionally create chill out videos of the tanks, ponds, wildlife (really enjoyed the section on the birds) and the scenery, maybe 20 min videos - nice to watch as a wind down at the end of a day.

12:31 don't you just stick the test tubes into those circular holes above the solution bottles, and thus effectively becomes the 'rack' which you wish they supplied the kit with?

@@AdriansFishroom got you! I agree it's cumbersome and isn't durable. I'm in the process of just creating a stand out of wood for that exact reason. Easy to make and can also make it in a way to try them out after use.
I also agree on the test tube labels, they should really have some water resistance.

Awesome, thank you! And no, they definitely don’t. They seem to spawn at different times with different triggers as well and I’ve never seen them mixed or had any cross spreading over the past five or six years with them being in the same tank.🙏❤️🐶🦘🇦🇺

Do you get much of a loss of fish and shrimp in your little ponds from the dragonfly larvae? I put some young platy fish outside to grow out one summer and loss all but one larger one.

Yes, they are beautiful aren’t they, and I now have four generations of them. I have never seen them for sale anywhere in Australia before, but I don’t often look for angels I guess. Lol I do have some babies that are ready for sale now and I was thinking of letting my first batch go out to other hobbyists pretty soon. Awesome mate thank you for your support and yeah, one of them did get a bit bashed around which you’ll see in this upcoming video. Taking that tub down was an absolute nightmare and catching them was even harder. Lol I leave my end Guppies outside all winter, however, all of the rest are inside the fishroom as it gets to about -3 here as it’s lowest temperature, but usually only once or twice a season. They definitely wouldn’t survive that.🙏❤️🇦🇺🦘🐶

what sort of price are test kits for everyone here ? Im in france and they cost about 80 euros here so if youve got multiple tanks using the kits can get expensive i tend to just test with tabs and if it looks like a problem i then test with a kit

Yah that kh is no good for caridina. Ideally you want 0 and 9 gh is too high also. And just so you know I'm pretty sure those round holes about the test chemicals are the holders for the test tubs to stand up in. So if your ro water tds isn't 0 I would recommend an rodi system that's what I use for my caridina

@AdriansFishroom I know my fancy red tigers took a while to start breeding too. It was atleast 3 or 4 months. Now I have tons of little newly born babies all over. The best way I've found to breed caridina shrimp is, get the water right with regular small water changes as to not fluctuate the ph to drastically and just stay out of the tank completely if possible. Stress will keep them from breeding. Mine started breeding after I stopped watching them regularly. I feel that if they see us looking in at them all the time and constantly walking past the tank it stresses them. Also babies will hide and fancy red tiger babies are very hard to see. They are born almost completely clear and stay they way for about a month or so. I wouldn't be surprised if you had babies in there but just haven't seen them yet.

@AdriansFishroom yah patience is definitely key with caridina. They definitely aren't neos, but they are much more rewarding once you get them breeding.
The GH in the shrimp tank at 9 seems super high for them, perhaps a TDS measurement is needed too? Are you adding too much remineralizer?

Hey there thanks for the tip, and I agree. Using the rainwater I should’ve bought that down by now and the answer to the Remineraliser is possibly?. I am very careful when I mix it and my GH is usually around four so I’m not sure why it’s crept up in the tank, other than to say those rocks May be doing it just causing the problem.🙏❤️🐶🦘🇦🇺

Yeah it sounds like something is leeching gH into your system, which could be the rock but I would have assumed lava rock was inert. You're doing great work btw, love the videos. Maybe they just need some times to adjust to the params and get used to the rain water addition.

What are Ur thoughts on the angels with the glow fish colours
Good question I’m running out a fan of glow Fish colors as of the way they used to inject the fish, but now I believe they have bred that way “naturally” after being genetically modified. It essentially a creation of a new species of fish if that’s the case, and probably not something that I would keep or look to continue, but that’s just my opinion.
