I'm coming to Utah next month to visit my daughter. We both love rockhounding! Can you please, please, please give me a location for grape agates? I hate going out and am clueless where to look and come back empty- handed and frustrated. Any tips on locations would be very, very much appreciated as the San Rafael Swell encompasses a large area. We mainly enjoy surface finds.
@@utah_rockhound Thank you so much for sharing this location! I've just come back from my very first rock hounding trip and while I didn't find any unbroken nodules, I have so many beautiful pieces from this area - my first botryoidal agate ever!
I just found your video and I'm super grateful for you sharing the location too, thank you. We are planning on heading out this morning. Hopefully we find some cool things. We we went rock hounding yesterday but didn't know what we were looking for, haha. Found some beautiful rocks by the San Rafael Viewing Area but have no idea what they are.
