All the buttons on my switch move fine, but only two of my windows work. The window lock button works fine, too. Fuses all look good as well. Do you know what the issue could be?
Hi. My civic 2001s passenger side window only works if uses the main switch and its own switch at same time.. it wont work if used only one of any of the switch.. what do you think could be the reason? Thanks
By the way I hope you didn't throw away the old or original master switch... after watching this video.. and seeing that the master switch was broken on the one from the junkyard. It looks like you could easily unsoldered the driver side window switch from the original master switchs.. and replace the driver side junkyard switch that's not working with the one that worked on the original... cannibalize the good working parts from one into the other. That's if you know how to solder which I assume you do... And then you could charge your customer if you do it..and it works instead of them buying whole brand new part and waiting for it to show up in the mail...
its badly burnt i dont wanna spent more time on on im only getting 1 hour job on it ...but i did fix it already junkyard give the customer a replacement one so its all good now
@@asianmechanicguy6483 so the window worked fine.. if you only used the switch on the passenger door?? I'm asking because we have the same or similar problem with Passeger door window on a 2002 Honda ..4 door And we tried replacing widow motor. Didnt work.. And we exchanged the switch and tested it on the back Door The switches worked fine on the back door .. Just Not on front passager. So haven't got back to it but someone told me the master switch could affect it. I doubt it but worth asking... If not I got to figure out where the short is
@@jacenkun2931 yup when i use the passenger button the window will work but if the driver side no bec the master switch is burnt u might need a further diagnosis get a test light unplug the connector on ur passenger side then test if theres a current flow that way u can elimanate which is one is bad

You are a great mechanic, I really hope you can upgrade your field of vision and get better cameras for all of your work.
Thank you, I will
Thank you for the video, got mine out and it look exactly the same as this one. Bought a new one on Amazon for $16.
Glad I could help

disconnect ur passenger switch connection then try ur driver switch if it works then ur passenger switch is bad then do the other way around
Next time test it first before you install. But it was a great video thumbs up I just subscribe
You are awesome.
You rock!
Sometimes its in the fuse.
