- Lots of progress, very little footage! First a recap, and then finally welded one of the inner and outer arches on the 5 door Saab 99 Turbo. I have also finished the sill and jacking point among various other bits, but my camera lost lots of footage. Still managed to cobble something together though!
A new camera is now on order so expect better progress updates and better quality videos
Well done. I owned a 1977 99GL 5-door in my youth, so it’s fun to see that body style getting attention. Good luck with your project.
Greetings from the United States! I found your videos and watched your restorations of the '99! This particular car is one I hope to have some day, so I can't wait to see what you do with your gem of a car! I wish you luck and look forward to more vids! Thanks a lot!
Enjoying this series so far, also looking for a 99 to call my own. Do they all rust this badly? And what plans if any do you have for preventing future rust? Any car I get would be a summer driver only but still I'd probably try and get rust primer on all inside surfaces, and 2k epoxy primer on all external surfaces that get refinished, and a regiment of underbody coating every year, like Dinitrol ML.
nice work bud as welding on cars is hard!!
Hey are you located somewhere in Hampshire ?
Hey! I'm in Dorset mate, so not too far from Hampshire
@@britishswedishresto9577 yeah relatively close! Keep my fingers for your project mate. Looks really serious! I own myself 5 doors 900i and 9k Cs Carlsson. Both slowly restoring as one of them is my daily. If you need any parts, give me a shout, I may help : ) Is it going to be t16 at the end or you keeping it original 8v ?
I think my friend got one 8v with 80k of miles, if you after one.
It would be brilliant one day to meet and chat as I love such people with dedication to restore these beautiful cars.
You got one fan more here ; )
Car is gorgeous; great taste.
