  • Part 2 of the rare Saab 99 Turbo 5 door restoration series. This time we're removing the engine, windscreen and revealing the full extent of the front end rust. Not a huge amount of progress these last two weeks but I'm making a big hit on it for the next video!
Since these videos have proved slightly more popular than I thought, I'm going to have a production quality revamp for subsequent videos including better lighting and better pieces to camera. Any other (helpful) suggestions please drop in a comment!

Hi you can get the engine out without removing the drive shafts. take the weight of the engine on the crane and then pull it towards one driveshaft and the other one will pop out!

I lost 2 windscreens myself. One on the removal of the original and one on the replacement which was shipped incorrectly. I think they're all delaminating at this point. But where do you find an original? Pilkington?

Sorry about the late reply! I don't know really, I've always been a big Volvo fan and was looking for an Amazon. Then this came up for sale as a project and couldn't say no. Safe to say I've switched sides now!
