Hi there, first of all having kickup - or better anti squat in the rear is pretty standard, the normal 272 transmission DOES have anti squat as well, just like the separate arm mount for the Traxxas Nitro Sport / Nitro Rustler, AS WELL as the ancient Radicator and TRX 1 and 3 had. It might be the case. that the 272R has MORE anti-squat, but the Bandit / Rustler 272 has it nonetheless. This is just one of the reasons I use the olt transmission cases in my rides, I dislike the integrated arm mounts for various reasons, this being one of them --> all I sa is: "mid motor conversions....."
There is. Just get some 4mm washers or a 1mm long shim. Or even a wooden wedge and drill the holes so it all sits flat. It will change how the top shock tower will screw on. You will need to mill the holes for the tower or only use two instead of the four.
Rom has a transmition case for the original 272 were those arm mounts are changeable with different degrees markings on the different sets.. but as we all know the 272 trans sucks realy bad as far as blowing diffs and that little roll pin
