In case anyone wonders about where the sax player is: "Clarence Anicholas Clemons Jr. (January 11, 1942 - June 18, 2011), also known as The Big Man, was an American musician and actor. From 1972 until his death in 2011, he was the saxophonist for The E Street Band."
9 years later, I wonder why he reverted back to this version. This sounded almost exactly like the 1978 versions… and unlike the other ones he did on the wrecking ball tour. He never did this version again after the wrigley show.

I was there as well both nights and after seeing the Boss 40plus times this may have been the very best opening song I ever seen! Amazing!!!
I waited 34 years for this and got it on 9/3 in Philly Prove It with the 78 intro :) awesome!!! and so glad my Chicago Friends got it as well :)

Us old fans (I’m 64!) never ever thought the ‘78 intro would be played again! Especially since this intro was never ever released by Bruce himself
