9 years later, I wonder why he reverted back to this version. This sounded almost exactly like the 1978 versions… and unlike the other ones he did on the wrecking ball tour. He never did this version again after the wrigley show.

I was there -- the place was going bonkers. At one point I said to my fellow Cub-fan friend, with me, "Y'know -- this may be the closest we ever come to knowing what it feels like to win a World Series game at Wrigley Field." (Glad to FINALLY be wrong about that ...)
