This is one of those videos where I just stop and think about what I'm looking at. I'm looking at a guy from Florida in a tuna shirt surrounded by flags and a whiteboard that says "pay attention" on it while he is telling a guy how to save his virtual career in the Macedonian first division.
Bro! I was so confused! Like, I understand people glorify hipster tiki taka. But even Pep had Yaya Toure, Keita, Martinez & Fernandinho in his midfield. Honestly surprised he's as high as 6th. Should be mid table.
Its kinda comforting knowing that, how bad I am at the tactical side, at least I'll never put 3 DLP's together. On a related note, please make this a regular thing
You did my save! Will have to get you to review again, I have 2 Welish younger players who are fire, one for £400 from Barry and one for £10k from TNS! Currently, go to the championship, and the team definitely needed less overhaul to go from L2 to L1!
21:25 Bang Bang at right back hahaha - great video Zealand, loving you’re stuff as usual and this is great, lots of things I can apply to my own save so thank you sempai
The biggest problem I have faced in such saves (I mean the Scottish one) in the past that you lose a shitton of reputation if you sell any of your players. I legit ended up losing rep every year in my Wales league save to the point of being one of the lowest reps in first tier even though I won league every year without even drawing a game and performed well in Europe every season (and my league rivals were like barely professional clubs, still rated higher than me:D). Idk if it still is like that in FM21 though.
Scotland is wonderful with that Motherwell’s guy situation My usual would be scout Colombia - in particular- and wider South America find players who you can pick up reasonably no higher than 3-5M and whack release clauses in and in 2/3 seasons you should have A) League winning players or B) lots of sales with money to invest
I don't like the fact you spent more than 2 minutes per save... I love it. Your wisdom is ever appreciated. Your fashion sense, I'm afraid is not. Thanks ma man.
I've been playing FM for like 21 years, i began when it still was CM, and every time I've played with 3 on the midfield they were 3 playmakers (when the game allowed for it). In my current save I'm 4 points away from the la Liga top spot in my second year with sporting de Gijón after getting promoted. I'm playing a dlp defend and another on support on the midfield, and an ap in the am spot. 14-7-2 run, 4th maximum scorer of the league with my striker as top scorer with a 5 goals advantage over the second and 5 less games played. Definitively 3 playmakers can make it.
Speaking of players locking release clause. There is actually a thing you can do, and in order to understand how it works you need to understand the role you have in a club. Whenever I have a youngster in my team and he suddenly becomes better and wants a better contract very often his agent will put release clause in. What I do is check his contract lenght, if its at least 2-3 years I can go and reject his offer and break negotiations. Now 3 things might happen, if the player blames agent for this he will change him. They might stay together but if u renegotiate after 3 weeks contract u will see they will be more careful not to piss u off and wont lock anything at first place. The third option is the worst, if your player is too mad with you because of relations or previous issues u had he might not be interested anymore in negotiations but in most cases they will negotiate with u after. I sign loads of better contacts by just blackmailing players if you can call it that way. :) Its the same when a player cries about the fact he dont play enough. If you have better players and its obvious he wont play first squad just tell him that u see him as sub not 1st team player and he might accept that. Sometimes I would even say to them that ok, if you dont play enough you can find a new club no problem, and than player stars to apologise to you and tells u to forget about it. :) Just like in rl life
i run the full wingback on each side and Amls and it works perfect if you have good players on those positions. I use ball playing defenders. On the wings i use with targemen. Its a full kinda pressing system. Attacking is the best defence and you will be suprised how well this works. Its not like real life where those wingback will get over run a lot. Also use a high line to push them back. I dominate every game with this tactic. Most i scored in a season is about 153 goals.
I volunteer for a Pitching In Isthmian league side. Corinthian Casuals are an amateur team as they value their history as amateurs and were said to have brought football to Brazil. It’s a great club with a really cool story. Still not happy that they beat Potters Bar though
@@Roscododger my life always gets in the way of watching twitch when people i wanna watch stream and it's no fun watching the playback but thank you I do watch as much as I can but never seen this before from the fm god
Good job bro, although complaining that you lose the ball too much while having pass to space, hit early crosses and shoot on sight all together was a bit silly haha
Benjy has said in his vids that he *knows* that he could quite easily power through the game using standard stuff. He wants to have fun and do weird shit. Shove your backseat gaming and/or possible elitism up your butt. Cheers ^_^
So I ended up getting promoted with Hebei Elite, we had a bit of a rough final stretch but ended up in 2nd place. Got the 75k prize money from the league, and then immediately paid 1M on bonuses, so we were still in financial trouble. I brought on a few new players and played the first 5 or 6 matches in the CSL and then got a contract offer from Metalist, and was seduced by their good infrastructures and secure finances. I now have a squad full of Ukrainian teenagers on course to get promoted and go kick Shakhtar's ass. My Chinese friends look like they're gonna get relegated, but they did beat Guangzhou.
haha I wish I had found your channel earlier. Maybe my save isn't that bad but I had West Ham finish one spot away from euro in year 1 and made the champions league in year 2. In year 3, we are winning games against the likes of Barcelona and Milan and have ourselves in the quarter finals in the Champions league. Oh, and are also in a relegation place in the premier league because I guess we fancy ourselves some sort of jet setters and don't want to get up for these boring domestic games. Ive tried everything. New tactic's, even googled cheese tactic's, changed some personnel, yelled at them, coddled them, rested them, pushed them, we go into the prem and shit the bed to Watford and then fly oversea's and win 3-0 against Barcelona with the same tactic. It's been like this the entire year. We started average but the second we started Champions league games they shit the bed in England...Im Baffled. So I made a backup save, quit (because screw getting sacked lol), and now I manage Tottenham...and am losing almost every game again so eff me i guess, hey haha.
I didn't expect to see someone do a Panathinaikos save! It's always my go-to team and like you said, I filled the team with as many loan players as I could. It takes some time to find someone willing to come to Greece though. Aside from Cantalapiedra (who plays well as a striker too), his bench could be filled with those players instead of the dead weight Panathinaikos has in almost every position. It's a truly mediocre team that needs improving. Villafanez and Carlitos are way overpaid, Macheda isn't a striker you can rely on, Dioudis is error-prone. Unfortunately many of those players are either new to the team or influential enough that you can't get rid of them easily. Even if you get rid of high contracts by selling them at half price though, it's worth it considering how much in debt they are. Most importantly, there is one decent CB in the team, there is no way he'll survive the season without finding someone else, even for backup. And It's not only the 1 million debt, they also have 2 loans they have to repay at some point and that can hang over your head going forward. Arranging friendly leagues with bigger clubs during the Summer helps a lot when you got no money. The major problem Panathinaikos has is that you can't find good staff in the first year. The wage restrictions by the board are ridiculous so you're stuck with bad coaches and whatever scout you can find for at least a year, don't know if that will change in the second year.
So many people are playing aggressive tactics and give too many spaces for opponent to counter-attack. Sometimes, it's better to let to opponent get out of his third and do a middle press to quick counter attack
Games easy this year, I have a tactic that pretty much turns basic players into footballing gods. Buy young cheap players with decent potential ability and use a training setup with more focused individual training. Within a season or two your team is a real force.
Natural Fitness can be quite useful. A player with higher natural fitness would be available for longer parts of the season, less likely to get injured and also their other physicals don't drop as quick when they get older. But it doesn't matter in match so eh
Wish I had that Motherwell CB that wasn't good enough for the CL knockout, he is better than anyone in my defence that recently knockout Spurs in the round of 16. In a 5-2 on 2legs
Video Idea : Signing players when you're on a tight budget with loan restrictions and work permit rules. End of contract arrivals, approaching players on youth contract, using feeder club/free loans, cheap release clauses. Is there any other way to exploit the transfer market without spending too much money?
I've been doing a harrogate save, got back to back promotions into championship, was really struggling there but last week of transfer window I got a new owner. A new very rich owner. Its kind of killed my save because they just bought my stadium off the company harrogate was leasing it from. And gave me a 20mil budget. I'm not struggling at all anymore, they just boosted everything in the club and now I'm probably going to be comfortable in the prem next season. I was hoping for a real challenge but oh well
Really like the video but would prefer doing one team an episode and more in depth. Making signings creating a formation and a hand full of tester matches
I bought fm last week i already have 50+ hours. Im managing boston utd from vanorama north. On 5th season now playing in third eng league. In 15 games im third with 3 points behind from first.
I got small problem in my save - I play Millwall, dominated the Premier league 3 years in row. Won Champions Leage once, and my players are really happy, they got decent wages, they are loved by fans, they like me as manager, it seems everything is fine and.... One day when transfer window starts - the enemy is coming at me like a storm.... My best striker got an offer from PSG - i declined no matter what, that caused riot in my team other players stood up for him, soon most of them were unhappy and wanted to leave the club .... How can i save my team from falling apart and not selling players ?
My biggest issue is teams majorly lowballing me when trying to buy my players, and then asking for double a players value when buying them in. Then there is the next issue being players asking for massive amounts of money

I admit I once had a save where I’d only sign DLPs in midfield and only IFs on the wings. Won La Liga and UCL within 4 years with Celta Vigo so 🤷♂️
Signing players who have attributes that are well suited to those roles is fine. But only using those roles in game is not.
