The best 3 matches between novak djokovic and rafael nadal are:
    1) Australian open 2012 final
    2) Roland garros semi final 2013
    3) wimbledon semi final 2018
...Without a doubt these is the best 3 matches between them by far from any another match

US Open 2011 is an extremely high quality match, it didn't go the full 5 sets, but some of the rallies, particularly in the 3rd set where Rafa dug deep to prolong the match, are among their best ever.

@robertupton4466 For me , this us open 2011 final and madrid semi final 2009 are their 4th and 5th best matches between them and your opinion is right , but still those 3 matches that l mentioned are still the best 3 matches between them

@@robertupton4466 US Open 2013 possessed higher quality than US Open 2011 in terms of shot-making. Nadal's forehand and serve were much more powerful than in 2011. Arguably also 2010. Overall, the 3 matches are epic.

Nadal was always quite cold in defeat, generally, but if you look closely , there's an evolution in there too. Throughout the years, Nadal got to accept loses better IMHO, you can see different reactions on handshakes. Djokovic was always the warmest in defeat.
That said, Nadal was never unrespectful.

Until 2009-2010 it was pretty much a one way traffic with Nadal leading the h2h with more than double the lead
Since then Djokovic shaped his game to a different level. From mid 2010 to AO 2012 he almost caught Nadal in the h2h and Djokovic was nadal's biggest problem.
Djokovic anyway hasn't even given away a set on HC for more than a decade. And even on grass Novak is way ahead of Rafa both in terms of game and in terms of stats.
The only debate was about the clay courts.
Rafa is the greatest clay court player of all time. Second being Novak in terms of titles and matches won on the clay. It was Rafa who took away atleast 4-5 Roland garros titles from Novak. 2012 , 2013 , 2014, 2020, 2022 the years where Novak was playing at a very high level in Paris but it was always Rafael Nadal who was in nole's way to the title.
This rivalry is without any doubt the GOAT rivalry in any sport just because the no of times they both have faced each other and the number of blockbuster matches they've given.
RESPECT TO RAFA FOR HIS RETIREMENT ❤.
GOOD LUCK TO NOLE FOR PROBABLY WHICH MIGHT BE HIS ONE LAST PEAK BEFORE HE HANGS HIS SHOES 🐐

"The only debate was about the clay courts." There isn't a debate when one has 14 RG and the other 3. The only debate was at the US Open, where Nadal leads Novak 2-1 and both are tied 4-4 in titles. In fact, Nadal leads the H2H over Novak in a title on hard, while Novak never led the H2H over Nadal on any clay tournament.

about the muscles .. when you are young and fit your body can support way more weight .. there a lot a things that you can do when young and not older right ?
older he got his body could not support that type of force and style of play
do you agree that older he got he became more agressive ? learn other things

Saudi Arabia doesn`t count. The tournament is not official and is considered an exhibition. No ATP points awarded.

It is 31_29 bro because the last match between them in six king slam was a friendly match ,so it doesn't count as it is not an official match

14-5 h2h to Nadal at one stage. Makes you realise that prime Nadal really dominated Djokovic, who wasn’t quite in his prime but still strong.
