I had that same problem with the docking ports that you had around 12:00, and what's happening is that it's docking directly after undocking. You have to reduce the docking acquire force of both ports to 0 when you undock. Great video, love KSP 2!

KSP1 has so many cool things. Also, I have only recently gotten to Jool after a few years of playing, and it was remarkably easy. My tip for KSP1? Just go for it!
@@Jowanoofy_ZO The only mods I would suggest a newcomer to use are Kerbal Engineer Redux and Better Time Warp, as they give just a better experience when doing certain things. KER gives you a bunch of extra information that's pretty crucial if you want to do more precise stuff, and Better Time Warp is pretty obvious as to what it does, I mostly use it when doing gigantic ion burns.

Though to be fair, KSP2 and GTA:TTDE are not comparable games from completely different studios and of different genres. In any case, let's just hope that the KSP team fixes their game as well and as soon as possible.

I think in later releases, Hydrolox and Kerolox engines will be added. Kerolox is better for power but isn't very efficient so going beyond LKO is not a good idea. Hydrolox is bad for power so not that much payload to orbit, but there isn't a better option for acclerating payloads to high speeds
Honestly I think one of my main disappointments with KSP 2 so far is that it seems like the wheels are still not actually wheels. (I don't own the game so I haven't tested myself) In the OG game the wheels had a pretty much square or rectangular hitbox, and acted like skids that propel you, more than actual wheels. I was really hoping they would've fixed this, especially considering the more complex terrain.

I've not played Trail Makers or Scrap Mechanics, but last time I played Space Engineers it was nearly as buggy as KSP 2 and the wheels were the buggiest of all. The only other comparable game I've played with wheels is Stormworks and the wheels in that are definitely not "real" wheels and are also the buggiest part of the game
I think only racing games do these real wheels, and simulation ones like BeamNG. With how crappy Scrap Mechanics bearings are, it should never be an example of how to make a game, ever
Maybe you could've tried to basically launch your lander with a plane-esque craft to generate Lift with wings for the very low atmosphere and then in the higher atmosphere you have your hydrogen engines generating enough thrust to get to orbit
In that case he was below 200km above Jool, which is where the atmosphere starts. But there _are_ cases around places like Ike and Eeloo where the orbit slowly decays if you’re below 30km

i dont know if "barely possible" is how i would describe this. Very Very impressive but not barely possible. i mean stratzenblitz75 did an entire jool 5 without methalox, and with only new parts so clearly not barely possible. now yes stratzenblits75 loves doing very difficult challenges and has been making content on ksp for a very long time so maybe saying that "if he can it then it must be easier than barely possible" is a bad argument, but still given then added restrictions he used and the extended scope of his mission i'd say its a little ingenuine to describe this mission like that.

KSP1 has so many cool things. Also, I have only recently gotten to Jool after a few years of playing, and it was remarkably easy. My tip for KSP1? Just go for it!
If you're new to KSP I recommend looking up some videos by Matt Lowne and Scott Manley. Great channels with tons of content about KSP.

KSP 1 also sometimes has issues with srbs connected radially, sometimes they will just fall off 😂
