  • Hello and welcome. In today's table-top video we take a look at the ‪@HecklerKochTV‬ P30L Tactical. This is a version of the P30L that was never imported into the U.S. by HK USA. Obviously the P30 is not a rare gun, but the P30L is a bit harder to find and this HK P30L is truly difficult to find on this side of the pond. Many thanks to The Attic / The Sportsman's Loft for helping me to get my hands on this pistol. What do you think of the HK P30L Tactical? I look forward to your comments. Thank you for stopping by and God Bless.

    TAI has HK USP Compact Tactical imports. LEM, frames are 2016, slide and barrel are 2023. All correct import markings. I think these were an over run from a German contract. These look like a very cool piece. Great P30L review!!

    Nice gun ! The mag release only sticks up without a mag in it so you wouldn’t be firing the weapon very often without a magazine inserted! I have the P30S myself and do agree it would be nice if it was always flush but not a big deal !

    Man I have to slow down watching your videos or I’m going to go broke! Saw this video when it came out and shortly after I got my own P30L. I opted for the LEM only model with no safety or decock. I sort of wish it had the decock because the Hk design on that is just awesome. Now I’m trying to debate if I want to have my slide cut for an rmr. That’s the only flaw for me so far there is limited people doing that and those who do it costs nearly half the price of the firearm. I like it enough I’m thinking about doing it anyway. Good video as usual!

    I carry a CZ-P07. I love everything about it except the fact that the slide can be difficult to manipulate since there's not much of it to grab onto. So I'm always interested in looking at a compact DA/SA pistol with a decocker, with about a 10 lb DA pull and 5 lb SA pull. I like the two Sig P-229s that I have, but this HK could be even nicer. I really like the the loaded chamber indicator, the way the pistol disassembles, and the mag release paddles (I have a Walther PPQ with them). It looks like you might only have the alignment issue with the mag release paddle when there is no mag in the pistol, in which case it's not really an issue. Is this correct? I think the regular version of this pistol might be my next purchase. Thanks for the great review!

    • @MDpolo
      @MDpolo  2 года назад +1

      You are correct regarding the mag release paddle. It aligns itself once the mag is inserted into the pistol. And then it is a non-issue. Like a dumb ass I didn’t notice that until after I had released the video. Thank you for catching that. You are welcome and thank you for watching!

  • @samcarter2985
    @samcarter2985 19 дней назад

    The problem you are having with the magazine paddles rubbing your finger can be remedied simply by inserting a magazine into the firearm. It flattens the paddles to be inline with the trigger guard.

    Really nice firearm. I'm a fan of the P30L.That is weird how the magazine release sticks up and I can see how it causes discomfort during shooting. I like your video very informative but as far as the mag release it only does that when there is no magazine inserted when you insert the magazine it clicks in and pushes the mag release flush with the trigger guard. I have the P30L version 3 I only paid $800 after taxes and purchased the threaded barrel from Hk parts for $300 and I got the adjustable suppressor sights for I believe $30 so overall I only paid $1150 for the same gun, but I love it carry it everyday definitely becoming an Hk fanboy, I also recently purchased a USP 45 and got the tactical barrel and adjustable suppressor sights for it as well and that gun is awesome suppressed. Keep up the good work

  • @JR15A2
    @JR15A2 5 месяцев назад

    Why get upset over the magazine release sticking up a little? The only time you'll encounter that is when the magazine is removed. It lines up perfectly when the magazine is inserted, so it shouldn't bother you while you're shooting it. If anything, it should help indicate that the magazine is fully seated and isn't about to fall out after taking your first shot.

  • @FirstLast-yj8ob
    @FirstLast-yj8ob 2 года назад

    the "batman" grip pattern actually resembles the Ulm proof mark more, which in your case can be found under the trigger guard
    also the mag release is literally no issue, it only pops up when mag is out, so the only time you have to hurt your trigger finger through it is when the magazine is released, which i think is more of a feature on HK's end, to me thats an added benefit(knowing my mag is not properly seated)
    the thread protector is a bummer for sure, there are various P30SD(i think its the official name not tactical) imported into europe and canada, the only reason i can think of is there are ATF requirements blocking a complete pistol with threaded barrel preinstalled into the US? and considered an "assault weapon"? and in many europe countries, suppressors are not heavily regulated like in the US, and hence people dont even need a thread protector, because the pistol would be suppressed all the time, thats my guess
    also you are getting the italian LPA sights which are adjustable and better than the none adjustable HK sights
