Do you need to light the pilot light yourself for the furnace? I have a 2004 Fleetwood Laramie and am new to the popup world, I have never used any of the amenities inside yet mainly just cause I'm not sure how.
@@jackofalltradesmasterofnon6120 well no damage under trailer but as soo as I put in a new fuse with the red battery button on, it blows instantly. I removed the the hole box with the fuses but I'm afraid of cutting the blue wire instead of the red, if you get my joke. Should I bite the bullet and take it to a shop?
There's definitely a cut off for the lights somewhere, it's to make sure you don't leave them on when you pack up the camper and catch the mattress on fire
No, the 12 volt switch is only to operate the refrigerator on 12 volt. This guy has no idea what he's talking about. It should only be on when you're traveling to operate the refrigerator.
Wrong... if you're plugged in and your 12v inverter doesn't work you will have no lights because the inverter puts out the 12v for all the lighting... that's my present situation so I'm bypassing the inverter and adding a 110 to 12v inverter with a fuse block which is way cheaper than replacing the built in nverter.
We are camping right now. And we don’t have lights. So, I connect the battery and now we have lights but I wish to have light from the electricity in the camp site
We are new to the pop up life! Your video is the most informative video that I have watched. THANK YOU so much!
Thanks
This video got my heat up and running while camping with my infant daughter. Thank you for posting, helped keep us warm.
Thanks for your video. 8.5 min saved me a week of learning curve time 🤣😁
Thanks so much! I got an old Palomino Yearling and I didn't know about those breakers under the cover!
Finally. Some info. Thanks man
Very good at explaining how to.
thank you so much for this information!!!
You forgot to mention that the pilot light needs to be lit manually on older models before the furnace can be run.

The furnace should light by itself.
@@jackofalltradesmasterofnon6120 Thanks for the reply, will see if I can get it going this afternoon.
Thanks so much .I just bought my first pop-up camper. Thanks for the heads up.
my heater , overhead lights and gas leak detector don't work off the battery. With the cord to the house everything works. No idea why. Can you help?
Check fuses
@@jackofalltradesmasterofnon6120 it keeps blowing....any ideas why? only when I try to use the battery though. Just the 20

Hey i know this is 2 year old post but did you ever figure out why you kept blowing that 20amp fuse ? @@schutztruppe
So I’m plugged into my house all my outlets are working but no lights or anything else do I need to be hooked up to a 30 order for it to work
There's a kill switch under the galley for the lights to work, start there.
@@jackofalltradesmasterofnon6120 I don’t think my model has that when I left the sink I’m nothing is under it but some rubber grommets

The extension cord should be the same gauge as the camper cord. If not could start a fire
I have a 2022 pop up and i cant seem to get the heater to work off the plug in alone. I had to use gas and it used a lot for just one night.
The heater burns propane for heat, electricity is needed just for the fan.
@@jackofalltradesmasterofnon6120 that’s why the air coming from the heater is cold
I have my new camper plugged into my house with an adapter and there’s a slight hum or fan sound coming from where the fuse box is. Is that normal?
If you have a lot of items running at the same time, the fan will come on to cool off the fuse box.
What about starting up the heater?
Does my 12V switch have to be turned on for the battery to charge while it's plugged in at home?

I have solar so I run the refrigerator on 12 volt during the day, and on propane at night.
The heater runs off propane?
Do you need the pilot light switch deal for 120??
The pilot light switch is only for propane
Thank you ... I’m trying to sell my pop-up camper that we bought and remodeled and I have everyone asked me every question in the book , so thank you
@@jackofalltradesmasterofnon6120 Do you need the propane on when turning on the hot water heater?
Should there be heat from the opposite side of the fridge ? On the outside?
Yes
On the twelve volt do you need the pilot flame on ??
Yes
NEVER do 2 power sources at the same time.
Any videos on the furnace startup on the same camper
What would you like to see?
Wow thanks we just buy a old one and i don't know nothing about it.
