Thanks Matt, love this video. It's so important for INFPs know and embrace their strengths and weaknesses. Personally I find Serving others Loving myself Pushing myself out of my comfort zone Discipline in achieving my goals, so I accept imperfection and achieve, so I feel good about me and successful Having positive regular interactions, not so much socializing. Connecting to my higher self has been paramount, as you said.
😄 I felt like this video was made just for me. Everything was on point. Going to save this video to remind myself about...myself😅. Thank you for making these INFP videos for us ❤
Hi Matt, I found all of this helpful. This is all quite new to me. Being aware of the parts and how I use them is of great help. It helps me understand and use these parts so they are helpful in my life, instead of them being in conflict 🤔. Does that make sense? Getting them to work as a team rather than working against each other 🤔. Thanks again for all that you do, it is very very helpful. I will be purchasing the INFP masterclass at the beginning of next month, and I'm looking forward to learning a lot more, and most importantly, using what I learn to help me in my life. Keep up the great work 😁👍🏻
INFPs and ENFJs need each other to be perfect.. Because each have the functions that the other lacks while at the same time agreeing almost perfectly because they both have the same perspectives on idealism..
It sounded a lot...but I think it's worth pushing the self out of the comfort zone to improve the quality of life and relationships. It's extremely uncomfortable going out to meet people and find new friends..but being far from family, w/o so much friends is depressing at times.. I surely wanna learn and improve life more.. Thank you for this video.
As an INFP practical goals help me gear up for the more abstract ones. For example, before writing my novel I'll play a few games of chess online, simultaneously improving both areas. I tend to use Chess as a crutch sometimes, but at least I'm still dynamically growing in some sense. I admire your videos very much by the way.
Just wanted to thank you for all your videos, you're very thoughtful and talented. This year has easily been the worst of my life, but you've helped and comforted me a lot so far just by doing what you do. Seriously, thank you 💙
It's important to remember for INFPs that your 6th function is a critical function. So lean into that critic when deciding what your future will look like. As an ISFP there's also some good points to take away as well when it comes to Fi, Te and Fe. Though I don't know if I could "lay off of" the Si. It more or less does it's own thing. Yay shadow functions. Though it is nice to see you expanding on shadow functions just a bit. That's a fairly rare treat for this channel!
I'm sure you could "lay off of" the Ni though and find more empowering ways of using it. Yeah I don't do much with shadow functions on the channel. I think about them a lot in my personal life tho.
I love your INFP video series and this one has been my favorite! Really helps explain what I've done well and what I need to work on... I learned to embrace resonating. Also learned to lay off the big time strategy, but went too far and nearly got rid of it entirely and was just floating through life with few goals or directions. And my stabilizing had taken over. But now the explorer and a little bit of the commander will be what I need. I have done some work on the unifying envoy, but not so much with visioning mystic. Thanks Sherman for this valuable insight!
You know, I'd honestly love to take your masterclass. Problem is, I don't have a way to pay $197 for it. And if I can be real with you, I really think you could really help me get my life back on track. My oldest brother came home today, and I hadn't seen him in years. It was amazing. The one big conversation we had was discussing how our lives had been. Mine was filled with more problems than I had solutions for. I've been quite motivationally lazy for a while now. I'm maintaining a job at the moment, but want to branch out to a fuller and genuinely better human being, while also finally leaving home on my own, getting habits down and being generally productive and creative, two things I know I need an environment to usually do so in. So yeah, I'd love to participate, but selling it is, I find, a bit questionable. Nevertheless, I really do infinitely respect your work and what you do, and bless you for all content you deliver. As an INFP myself maybe even, idk why but everything you explain makes just an incredible amount of sense in practice. Problem is, I stopped showing up at practice a long long time ago.
An amazing video! Trying to ease off of Si where I spent a lot of time for almost a year and get out of the Te grip. My empath was neglected for so long... it feels like I will need to find out what it is again to embrace it.
Amazing video. I'm confused. I took personality test twice, I think different tests 2-3 years ago. First time it said INFJ and second time it said I'm an INFP!! Which test is the correct one? What's your take? Cheers from India
Do you have any advice for an infp in mourning? I recently lost my fiancé and am having trouble letting go and understanding why he had to die. I keep blaming myself because he survived a car accident, lost his leg but he was improving. Then he died. I don't know if I want to go on without him. What is your advice to me?
I'm so sorry for your loss. Obviously I'm not Matt but I didn't want to leave your question hanging without any reply. I'm an INFP and lost my little brother 18 months ago unexpectedly. I won't pretend to have all the right answers. Other than time, which is obviously what helps the most to find enthusiasm in life again, I think that we need to talk about these things out loud with friends and family (or a counselor / therapist etc). In the past I have been secretive and reserved about talking about my deep inner feelings but at a certain point it needs to be addressed externally to feel like I can liberate the internal feeling somewhat. Also setting daily goals like walking outside for 30 minutes at a minimum have helped me open back up to the world. Sometimes the walk can be where you won't cross paths with other people, but just getting out into the outside world has helped. When everything is a bit much, I think distracting yourself with TV shows and movies (for example I watched a ton of Dr. Who) that engage your imagination can help. I found reading or just listening to music didn't distract my mind enough compared to visual entertainment. Finally, I realized that we could all pass away on any given day, there is no reason he had to die. I think now that there isn't much deeper meaning to life for me than making the most out of the days we do have, embracing the family and friends that I do have, and exploring this strange but beautiful world and existence. Hope this helps in some way
I’m sorry to hear that. :( I don’t know the situation, but blaming yourself is not helping anything. Email me (sherman@geekpsychology.com) and we can do a free hypnosis session to help you process it if you want.
Um , i just want to say my opinion . 1) plz make shorter videos 2) i have got a ques, have u ever felt like sth in ur subconscious mind is against u? Like even in ur dreams, it has some desires that u normally hate or somehow ashames u .

Thanks for sharing. It’s so necessary to work on ourselves, but somehow it gets minimized and delayed.
Thanks, man... 40 year old INFP sadly still trying to figure it out.
I'm 37 - not that far off!
You gave me hope.. i am 31 and still thinking i need to always improve myself..
29 here ✌️😁
what do you mean by "it"?
You've got this fam 😊

Yes it makes perfect sense :) Parts work is crucial for self-development imo
INFPs and ENFJs need each other to be perfect.. Because each have the functions that the other lacks while at the same time agreeing almost perfectly because they both have the same perspectives on idealism..
so good to hear! First time I took the test, my result was ENFJ and then after some time I was INFP. I feel I belong more in the latter, but lucky me!
It sounded a lot...but I think it's worth pushing the self out of the comfort zone to improve the quality of life and relationships. It's extremely uncomfortable going out to meet people and find new friends..but being far from family, w/o so much friends is depressing at times..

I've been there! You'll be happy when you're looking back on how far all the effort has helped you.

What if your way of changing the world is through writing a story about it? That means being at home will be where you are working on it.
As long as you actually release it… too many people just keep their ideas caged up.
@@GeekPsychology I'm in the process of creating it Sherman. I can show you if you like? Just need an email address :)
