- We decided to hit up another local store near us that is also available at many other locations! We went to Office Depot (or Office Max) and bought the cheapest PC we could find! For $349.99 we got a Lenovo tower with a Ryzen 2200G, 8GB RAM and a 1TB HDD! Time to benchmark it stock and then give it a little upgrade B)

@@southboss23 with this system since it's already been activated you don't need a key. You just have to go to Microsoft website and download windows 10 and install and Microsoft will activate it after its gets online.
@@martinez392 true, but I was just putting it out there since a lot of ppl dont know enough about it. Yes since this motherboard has windows 10 activated, as soon as you download windows 10 it will be fine. But say someone is reading this and formatted the hdd including the os and this is there only computer what then. Plus I didn't say they needed a key but you will need a windows installation on a usb drive.

@Mr_Shams no it's not because I literally have this pc and it sucks and a waist of 500$ but right now Im buying part to build a pc less than 400$
If you don't care about the warranty and were to stick with this system for a while for gaming, the 2200g and 1600 sell for about the same used on eBay, which, assuming the 1050Ti upgrade's already in place, should also make for a nice increase in performance without any significant cost sink.

Not long ago I put in a GTX 750ti in the Intel i5-8400T version of that. Just beware, pre-built desktops might need a bios update for it to detect the card. (which was a pain trying to find information on) Otherwise, the construction of those Lenovos are very sturdy surprisingly.

Second Edit: I keep my side panel off for maximum airflow because my pc can get pretty hot at times. Third edit: I guess i can't 1v1 you now because I got false vacced :/

In CS-GO, you aren't getting a huge performance increase because of the 2200G's CPU.
Yeah csgo is very cpu hungry :p also csgo has really bad frametiming under 300fps
At 200 fps i get 20ms lag spikes really often at 300fps highest frametiming i ever seen was 16ms

ok after watching the vid, reading a thousand comments, to anyone asking about a Ideacentre 510a-15ABR, W/ 180 or 210 W PSU, yes this card will work, with my meter im only pulling 98 watts the 1050 ti is powered through the pcie slot. g2g with 180 watt

Be careful with this specific Lenovo. I got one of these and upgraded it with a 2gig GTX1060 and the power supply took a dump after about 3 weeks
There only 3gb and 6gb vram for the Gtx 1060.

GTX1060 consumes 120 watts and this is overkill for this build. 75 watt is the maximum you could this build
I have this EXACT PC and yes it CAN game! Really well actually. The Ryzen 3 2200g is amazing. Honestly love it. "Cheapest" yeah right load of rubbish there are cheaper PCs with Intel Celerons.

I should add actually that it depends what game you want to play. I play lower-end games so that's why it works so well for me. Higher end games probably will work but probably not as well. When I say "higher end" I mean realistic, intensive style games.

Just the one they bought from the store is 325 to 350. If you include the 1050ti which they bought used for 100 dollars the total comes out to be like 450 ish.

They actually sell some GPU's. They have the RX580, 1650 Super and 1660TI..and last time I checked, they were all on stock and much cheaper than they're everywhere else at the moment.. the RX580 was $260 new..

I'd love to see one of those builds with windows VS linux benchmarks, pretty curious how much the rumors are true that the penguin beats it?
That depends on hardware. my 2400g and rx580 has a lot of stuttering on linux (ubuntu 18.04 specifically) and highly prefers windows. Now with my only laptop with an i5-7200u and intel hd620 graphics linux made games that wouldn't get above 30 fps on windows run at around 60. Well....I say it's hardware dependent, but that would actually be how well the drivers for certain hardware is optimized.

I tried upgrading an old office computer with a 1050 Ti but the PSU ended up exploding, I looked at everything inside and nothing is charred and no capacitors and resistors are blown or swollen but the explosion did blow a fuse in my house, what are the chances I can salvage the rest of the computer?

Hi! I own a Lemovo 510A-15ARR, can the power supply support the Zotac GTX1050ti which you are recommending? FYI, your video mentioned the Zotac GPU but your video descriptions features Asus GPU.
Of course you can... You can even put a 1650 in it... You can put any graphics card in it but make sure the graphics card doesn't need a power cable

@@ellusion1985 a normal graphics card will work you don't need a low profile gpu unless you got one of the really thin case ones if it's the same as the video buy a normal card but with 1 fan only more than 1 fan will not fit

My first gaming pc Was a Lynk level one gaming pc for 700 dollars
Any concerns about not upgrading the power supply ? I have this unit or a very close version and found this video shortly after buying . I’ve been looking at the 1050 and the 1650 but almost all sources say put in a larger supply but options are limited . I’m assuming you all didn’t upgrade the PSU . I DO have a couple of warranties on it .
Also it’s the Ryzen 3 3200g with 8gb of ram that I’m bumping to 16 along with the card . But if I can avoid upgrading the psu I would love that even if it means the gpu isn’t running at full potential . My opinion is the slots are there and the psu is hard to find replacements albeit possible but hard so I’m thinking they assume it can have a slot card added without psu upgrade as you guys did here ....?

I got a similar Lenovo for around $550 a year ago. Instead it has a ryzen 7 1700 16 gb ram and a rx 560 with 350 wat psu. I got a 1660 ti and put it in there but couldn't get the side panel on and got it to 32gb ram. I am currently purchasing the parts to build one and getting a ryzen 5 2600, is that better than the ryzen 7 1700 I have? Are they easy to swap the two if I want to? My Lenovo will become living room tv pc, going to put the rx 560 back in and the 1660 ti in my new build.

I would take out the ram and get 16gb 2400mhz ram and get a 1650 or a rx 570 thr psu supports it (450 watt)
graphic card says min 300W power supply and use 75w consumption and the tower has 240W power
