They should shoot for $800-900 range, so a little more than the $500 (Takomo/Ram/Kirkland) sets but $4-600 less than the TaylorMade/Calloway, Mizuno, and Ping. I think only a few hundred dollars less isn't enough to gamble on these direct to consumer irons. They look great though.

Hey Jason, we appreciate your thoughts on this. Similar to our golf balls, our primary objective was to release a range of clubs that can compete with the best out there. We know that these irons are producing as good (better in some cases...) numbers as the traditional brands you noted - we are in this really exciting time where the more independent reviews that are published, the more it will become evident that we have a really really high performing product!
It's also worth noting, that the pricing of clubs is heavily driven by not only the physical product/R&D, but also the incredibly lengthy logistical operation behind any club manufacture. There is a huge segment of the golf club market who drive down their prices by cutting every single corner there is throughout their operation. Of course, the price is important to consumers, but we have no intention to compromise in quality at any stage of our operation. The best example I can share of this; we've taken on the workload to custom build everything in Germany. Why? It ensures the product we ship is of the highest quality.
Thanks again for your thoughts here!

    1. unbelievable Look
    2. very good forgivness , for a so great looking Club
    3. ball shaping is easy and distance is closely like by a distance club like the paradym smoke or the taylormade p770 -p790.

Unless they are just fine with selling a very small amount of these clubs, they are going to have to seriously lower the price. $600 should be the max for these. At $1200 only the most hardcore Vice fanboys with that kind of money are going to buy these. Cant imagine there are a lot of those people out there.

1200 bucks is NOT cheap. That’s basically a set of Titleist or Callaway Irons. Vice built their entire brand on being less expensive than the big brands. This was NOT the move. For 1200 bucks you can nearly buy TWO sets of Takomo irons.

Completely agree, and I even play Vice balls. If Im spending $1000+ on irons Im not even going to consider Vice - Im going with Wilson, Titleist, Mizuno, Ping, Taylormade, Callaway, Cobra or even PXG.

My honest view... I don't believe any company has the right to charge premium club prices when brand new into the market,$1100 isn't particularly cheaper, especially not considering who these irons are aimed at. Surely higher prices come with heritage, and a proven track record. I think they look nice but I wouldn't pick these over a company that have been at it for years. Not at all...

If the heads have been made lighter it would be interesting to know what the swingweight is. To keep it in the normal steel shaft SW of D0-D2 they will have had to lose weight at the grip end somehow. Personally really don’t like a light swingweight.

Pricing is fair if you consider that VICE is not a new company at all. Yes they are new to the club market game but lets be honest when buying a new set of irons at minimum you are looking to spend anywhere from 1200 to 2000. If you are expecting lower than you are looking at the prior years models or used sets. If you were to customize a set of Titleist or any other brand the price jumps closer to 2000. VICE also knows that their devoted following will jump all over these.

These clubs just don't make sense from a price perspective. When you consider that the Pro Plus balls are as low as $33/dozen, or effectively 40% cheaper than a ProV, TP5, etc. you kind of expect them to be in that price range, which would mean around $800-$900 for the clubs. Then you see that these irons are $1120 for a 4-pw set, while a set of TItleist, TaylorMade, Callaway etc., are $1400, you're getting maybe a 20% discount, which, while not nothing, really isn't enough to convince people to try them. When you're pot committed and spending $1100+ on irons, what's another $280 at that point to get the big brand? Not to mention, as far as I know you can't go into a store and demo these Vice irons or get fit for them. Are people really going to spend $1120 without seeing or hitting them first? If you're flying in the dark like that, why wouldn't you just get a set of Sub 70 or Takomos for under $700? As Rick has noted, they seem like pretty good clubs, but man the pricing just doesn't add up for a DTC iron.
