The first video that ever got recommended to me/I watched was a weather vlog and I have been here since. These weather videos just bring so much joy and calmness to me. Love these types of videos from you guys. Hope all is well with you all!
I'm so jealous because you get to witness some of mother nature's wonderful weather 🌪🌩⛈️ it's so frigging cool it's March 2023 hope the weather gets even more extreme I love storms also have occasionally in the UK ❤️❤️❤️look after yourselves sweetie love to you all ❤️
Looking fantastic!!!! The whole family, the kids are growing so much still all so adorable!!! Hubs lookin great too loved the background music 👍 I so wish we had storms here in Central California, but we don’t!! I mean I wish we had the downpours and thunderstorms just not all the damaging ones!! Anyway so nice to see you all and thank you so much!!! 💗💗💗
I mean this with all respect. You remind me of my mother when i was young. When the biggest storms came ...and that ticker tape on the t.v said stay inside.. MY mom would bring me out to the garage and we would watch the storms. She didnt care of the though of what could happen.. it was the beauty. Thank you for this. Much love. Jay, from Buffalo, Ny.
I love your scary weather videos! I literally can't wait for Twisters to come out 😊 I lost my (beep) when I saw a funnel cloud forming a few summers ago! Totally different in real life!
Our most active & dramatic storm season (wind storms) in the UK starts in the Autumn, usually around October, then we're vulnerable until Spring. We're also at risk during the US hurricane season when hurricanes bounce back out into the Atlantic & regain strength. Thankfully, our storms don't usually involve tornadoes. The closest we usually get to tornatoes is dust devils in the dry summer months in the countryside. There have been less than 10 tornadoes in my lifetime & I'm 42. But our storms have been deadly; mobile homes blown over with people inside, my Dad's mate's truck got blown over back in 2019 & he was left hanging by his seatbelt! Thankfully, he was given the all clear at hospital, but told to take a week off work to rest his shoulder & process what had happened. Other truckers haven't been so lucky.
I love these videos! I wanted to be a “tornado” chaser since I was 6 after watching Twister, Wizard of Oz, and other storm films growing up. Unfortunately weather in Australia is not diverse where I live - usually just dry heat and mundane lightning storms in Summer as I live in NSW (not up in Queensland where they get that tropical weather). That evolved into wanting to be a Meteorologist but it’s such a hard, competitive degree. I’m now 26 and a High School Maths teacher, but I still dabble in the U.S. storm chasing scene. My goal is to see a tornado in real life, preferably in the U.S. I just find them so beautiful, mysterious and dangerous. Thank you for these vlogs ❤
There’s nothing cozier than hankering down for an approaching storm - so long as you’re safe! I just love it! We don’t get great storms that much in London 🇬🇧 so it’s great to watch yours! Thankyou! 🙏🥰
Ohh this is really good. Y'all are definitely way better than every other vlog channel I've seen. You're straight to the tornado part Somehow every vlog channel I've seen knew there'd be a tornado, and they vlogged on that day. Always surprised to see a tornado warning. Seriously there's one vlog channel I found where every video is tornado related
Thanks, man! I actually appreciate you noticing that because there is a difference. This is a STORM vlog not a day-in-the-life vlog like some other channels. Years ago, I did DITL vlogs but rarely do those anymore because, honestly, I'm not interested in being that kind of channel... especially because of the kids who don't need their whole lives broadcasted... you know what I mean 😊... not trying to judge just not how we want to do things and not my vibe anymore. However, I looooove cool weather, so I'll vlog when that's going on. Actually, the whole family enjoys this stuff so it's interesting to experience and capture and then also to share with like-minded people. =) I pretty much only vlog if something is going on weather-wise nowadays then have a few other random videos/vlogs thrown in on occasion. So a random mostly weather vlog channel now. 😂 But my channel, my rules, right? 😜 Anyway, thanks again!
Sounded like that lightning struck your neighbours house! I know how it feels to close to a lightning strike, i was at a pizza restaurant down town with 2 friends. When we were walking back to one of my friend’s house it was pouring like it is in your video, so we start running back and once we got to their street (in front of our school) there was a lightning strike right on the school. There was some one outside the school and he almost got struck. Pretty scary 😦 Glad you’re all safe!
You get as excited as I do with bad weather lol.. Houston definitely needed this rain, so hot and dry. West side 3.5 inches so far, need every drop. More rain coming ! ☔
Haven't chased since 2013. 2011, 2013 mentally destroyed me. Wasn't expecting anything this year in my yard. But it did. Nothing better than watching a tornado drop from my front porch! (Posted on my channel) be safe! Be weather aware! I've seen 1 tower to tornado warned in less than 10 minutes!
When I first became a mum (I speak Australian English. It means mother) I was really grateful for you videos still am as they helped me calm my own fears of storms to be calm for my babies (I survived two F5 tornadoes within a week and a half of each other when I was 14. Moore 2013 and El Reno 2013)
@@aChanceofHale One thing that sticks out to me 9 years later is how the people came together. How they helped me helped so many others who lost loved ones. And it allowed us to be here today to teach tornado safety to the next generation
Wow that's some ferocious storm 😬 so much lightning! We've had no storms at all in our part of the UK this year but it's been hot nearly all summer, crazy
Wow awesome vlog I’ve been waiting for you to post this stuff ! Great shots of the lightning bolts ,so beautiful! The thunder was amazing too! Nature is just awesome and powerful ,We don’t get weather like that here in California,so it’s very very exciting to watch this stuff. Looking forward to your other vlogs 🌸❤️🌈🦋😁🥰
I love your storm videos. Especially since I live near the same area (Northeast Harris county), so we experience the same weather mostly. Definitely a ferocious cell tornadic or not.

Even though it is part of the "world campus", you are still a complete, normal PSU student and have access to everything, student IDs, can get campus housing, and so on. So fun! You should look into it! Texas A&M has an excellent meteorology department but it isn't online and with the kids, I just couldn't make it work. Absolutely amazing sooo missed your weather videos we had a thunderstorm last week that lasted all night properly good conditions for a tornado but I live in UK Scotland I know UK can get tornadoes but are small ones and mainly in England but our weather system is defo changing colder winters warmer summers and more storms hopefully 1 day il see a tornado in person even if I need to travel to America was looking at tornado chasing tours is it defo worth it and when is best to do it please and where?
100% think it is worth it. April, May, June would be the best times. I recommend Tornadic Expeditions... absolutely amazing group. I hope you get to one day! =)
@@aChanceofHale thank you sooo much il defo have a look at them have been interested in tornadoes since I was a little girl after watching (twister) can I ask what made you interested in tornadoes and thunderstorms storms ?xxx
My love started from hearing personal stories from relatives at a very young age as well as also being exposed to lots of it my whole life. (I was born in Oklahoma and most of my family is still there.) My paternal grandparents where in the 1947 F5 Woodward, Oklahoma tornado and my maternal grandparents were in the F5 Blackwell, OK tornado of '55. Everyone in my family has been through something, if not multiple somethings. We like to say it runs in our blood. =) I was always so curious about not just tornados but all kinds of weather. My parents react to weather the same way we do, with curiosity, excitement, but also a level of chill. They were born and raised in Oklahoma and taught us a lot. That is why we all just chuckle when some people get so worried during our vlogs. We know when to be more careful and when we can observe. I take more risks than we allow the children to when we are observing, that's my choice. We know that if it is really serious, we'll switch to the interior guest bath by our storage closet because there is less items that can fly around and likewise, we know when the kids are fine being in just the storage closet because we are only worried/being careful about possible debris or hail breaking windows and not an actual tornado. We know when we (the parents) need to also get into the closet or bathroom. We have battery operated NOAA connected storm alarms and a network of people, including professionals, to get us the correct info we need. We respect the need to be cautious but we don't overreact or freak out. I think some would be happier if we did, ha!, but that isn't our way. I totally get it though, if you aren't used to stuff like that it can seem extra scary. So, basically my interest has stemmed from exposure my whole life, including lots of actual extreme weather events and personal stories shared with me from my very beginning. Now... the movie Twister 100% helped. 😂😂😂😂 I still love that movie!!!!! Maybe we can go chasing on the same trip one day!
Last thing i new was that you went storm chasing and then you disapeared for months! I was fearing the worst like either the storm chase went bad or that a tornado swiped at your house with the whole family in it...either way your all could be gone! Phew, your back and among the living! Pressure is off.
Ha! Thank you! And yes, I'm totally fine. Just a busy fun summer with four kids. =D I update a little more often (not a lot, but slightly more than here) on my Instagram. Even though I adore making these weather vlogs, and I don't mean it in a negative way, I'm just not that into social media so posting is a low priority. Life just gets too busy, ha! =p Thanks for watching and caring! 🥰
I live in southeast Texas and I know this was a couple of years ago but you will know if it's a Tornado, I have been through 6 of them 1 EF1 4 EF2 and one EF5 and that one was in Jarell Texas May 27, 1997, I was visiting a friend to help clear some land his father just gave to him after he passed, that was one of the worst days of my life, and his wife and mother in law were two of the 27 people killed, we had left the house that morning to go do the clearing when it hit, that storm was so strong there was nothing left to his 4 bedroom home, 3/4 of the cement foundation was even gone, and the tornado left at one point a 2 foot deep buy almost 100 yard wide dirt that had been dug up by the path of the tornado, I was going to be there for about three days but I stayed for about a mouth to help my friend through his grief, we camped out on his property where his house stood, and it took about a week to find his wife's body, she was found about half mile away from his home I will never forget that day I still have nightmares about it. P.S You and the kids were awesome and the way you and your husband love Tornados,
I remember (as a teen) that they also had to pump quarters onto a pay phone to get the latest radar info. It’s a lot easier for them now! 😆 That is so awesome that you got certified as a teen. How amazing is that?! 😊
