    I have so many goals that I want to achieve, but if I sleep 8 hours every day then I'll never go there !? I work all day and only have time in the evening, I really have to force myself to go to sleep and the next morning I get annoyed because I have not done enough to my goals ... But if I sleep too little I'm broken the next morning ... I think I work too much, thanks for the important tips.

      Try and make sleep a priority and you'll find greater productivity when you're awake. It's hard finding balance sometimes, but the rewards can be amazing.

    Dammit! I never knew that about sleep aides. I always wondered why I didn't feel like I had enough sleep the morning after taking them. Thanks again SEALfit.

    If I join the military as planned, instructors will force me to remain sleep deprived and my current fitness level will drop. That doesn't make sense to me since among my reasons to join the army was the willingness to keep living a healthy life and improve my overall fitness level. Lack of sleep increases injury rate when training.

      Meditation before going to bed is really effective.
      Meditation helps you get rid of excessive thoughts and calms your mind.
      Meditate before you sleep.

    how the hell can Navy seals sleep 4h per night ? like the hell week ? or that David Goggins dude? only 4hours per night ? thats killing your health totally? it doesnt make sense. if an NAvy seal is training so much, like professional kickboxing dudes: u need like 11/12h per night. like boxer Anthony josphua sleeps 11h per night. cuz he trains twice a day. every training is like 2hours... it doesnt make sense sleeping for 4hours ?

      They sleep only 4 hours for the full Hell Week apparently. Not 4 hours each night. Definitely not something that's good for an athlete in terms of performance.

      @@dogestranding5047 i think he’s talking about while they are deployed and stuff. Idk, in documentaries and other movies they say that the spec forces teams sometimes dont get sleep because of their missions. I remember in 13 Hours (about the Benghazi incident) they mentioned a guy was cranky because he had patrol late and early morning duty. Only 2 hours of sleep. Idk though.

    I usually get 5-6 hrs a night. Sometimes less. However, I refuse to take sleep aids. I tried it for a bit, but I was always groggy after waking up, so I stopped. My brain just never shuts up.

    Thoughts on melatonin?

    • @sealfit
      @sealfit  6 лет назад +3

      It's a good question. As far as a sleep aide, it's a lot better than your Ambien or Lunesta. But, you want to choose a melatonin with a small dosage. We like Dr. Kirk Parsley's Sleep Remedy, if you need some kind of supplement. But taking the steps in this video should be your first move.

    • @housekilla457
      @housekilla457 4 года назад

      I know it’s an old comment, but for what it’s worth here is my experience.
      Melatonin is a great aid for correcting/adjusting your sleep cycle. If you are used to getting up at eight but need to start getting up at six or something similar. Figure out when you need to be in bed to get your necessary hours and take it a couple of hours before that.
      After a few weeks of going to and getting up from bed at the desired time, scale back the dosage until you know longer need it. Like I said it’s an aid not a substitute. If it’s light out invest in a sleep mask and/or some blackout curtains. The reason to take melatonin is to adjust your circadian rhythm and sunlight will just work against you.

  • @grantwalter2243
    @grantwalter2243 3 года назад

    I dont know how to do any of this. I cant sleep at night. Im exposed to the sun everyday and can never fall asleep or go back if I wake up. I take melatonin and it does nothing. Sleep meds like ambient and clonidine barely work, and when they do i wake up feeling like I didn’t sleep at all.
    The problem. Is not. My phone.
