    The idea of loving people but not getting attached to them would make a lot of people's lives a lot better. The people around you will change. That's not inherently a bad thing.

      @@Calibos2015 I think that's beside the point. We need to learn to be self aware enough to continually assess the value of the people around us and adjust accordingly. Maybe you bring in someone toxic, but you have to be willing to take chances and then make changes.

    During your day, think about your death. Always. Everyday. Not morbidly, but in truth. The day you are born, death is casually walking towards you in no hurry. And when you die, the only collection worth taking and leaving behind, are your memories and your intentions.

    Love Someone but don't be attached? These are really big words. If you think about it it all makes sense since we all have lost or at some time we will lose someone we really care about. And believe me the pain is there to stay and be sure that it will get worst and worst over time. To be with someone every day for so many hours days months years to care and love but not getting attached I think that is a very difficult task to mess with but yes you have to leave something a part of your self empty in order to survive when the time comes and it will come for every one of us. "Independent Together" I really love that in the video. We can only find peace within noone will teach us that and don't expect any help from anyone. We are on our own journey. Nobody is ready when the time comes. Life is not easy never was and it will never be. Take care. Great Video.

    Completely true. Everyone in your life has his/her own goal. Or should have their own goal. If not you have to deal with people who attach to you and make it harder to reach your goal. I've experienced that my whole live. Finally, at the age of 51 I detached and became aware that this is the system. People who want to attach to me and who I love may do that, but to a certain level. They never may change my goals again for their own sake.

    I donated my money to charity..It is wise however to always have some kind of backdoor ( Like say 2000 bucks) incase of emergency or when a machine, or laptop, breaks down. But if you would be very rich its not a good thing to keep it. Spend it out to things that give you a good feeling and sense of gratitude afterwards.

    But, how can you love someone and NOT be attached to them? I get not depending on them to be happy and being able to make yourself happy, but if you love someone, you're automatically attached to them.

    Struggling with this one. So we never “attach” to anyone? “Attach” has a negative connotation, I realize that. I also get interdependent relationships vs codependent ones. We can travel as light as we want, but we don’t truly live on this Earth unless we form meaningful relationships with others. My 2 cents...

    • @sealfit
      @sealfit  4 года назад +1

      This one is a struggle with everyone. Not a simple subject. When it comes to people in relationships, being "independent, together" is the phrase that I think resonates from Mark. A meaningful and loving relationship can be had with that mentality.
