I could listen to Derek talk all day. Very entertaining guy and seems very nice as well
I had a red 68 Firebird once with a very much warmed up Chevy 350 in it backed by a Muncie 4-Speed and a GM 12 bolt rear axle. It originally had a 400 Pontiac engine in it with a Q-jet. The Muncie and the 12 bolt came in it from the factory. Very easy to swap over to a Chevy engine. I had to change the lower motor mounts that bolt to the frame for a set out of a Nova. Get a Chevy Bell housing and everything else was a simple bolt in.
I had a 67 rag top with a warmed up 350 sbc mated up to a built turbo 350 if you were at half throttle or above it would chirp 2nd, man I miss that bird

It's funny how effective associating a product with a personality is. Derrick is what i think of as "a good person." I just did a cam swap and reached for Peak products at the parts store. No thinking involved. My son does the same. Also, swithed beers recently, so i guess it works both ways.😂👍

@@paulloranger545 Nope, the first mention of "cold snack time" (0:27s) and the big center screen shot of custom 'cold snack' bottle was clever. Unfortunately, even an apparently humble and very likable person may start to believe that they are too likable to fail.., we were meant to 'barely' see what he was drinking.
@@dn734 the video still has decals on vanishing paint which were removed over 2 months ago. Bud light lost their mind about a month ago. So yes this was filmed before bud went insane.

I'm still mind-bottled that the hokey freeze-plug fix that Derek used to get the Snowbird home is still somewhat functional. I figured a guy would have fixed that kind of the right way by now...but when you wreck Independence, and find Charlotte, priorities can be a changin'.

Hey Derek, what is your opinion on the 1973 Pontiac Grand Am, 7.4 liter 455 / Turbo/hydro 400 trans.? If you found one would you try to get it home? I would like to watch that episode. My brother had one ( which we rebuilt the 455 in ), and then I drove it for a while after he had it. I loved that car. We took the 455 out of it and put it into my 74 Formula Firebird and put the Formula 400 back into the Grand Am.

Whether Vice Grip Garage Derek Bieri and his wife knows it or not the statement at the beginning of each video starting with I'm an Idiot is absolute Genius ! The vier is hooked whether he be a car guy or not ! And Derek Bieni and his wife are NO idiots ! Derek Bieni gets an Oscar for acting with always saying "I don't know when bring back to life cars that sat in a field for thirty-five years ! I aways look and say NO WAY will he get that rusted old wreck back on the road !

Love your cars you have in your shop and your channel in general......I wouldnt mind having an older car to work on and have as a toy so to speak......but im also into older riding mowers....I have a 1966 IH cub cadet 123 i did a 90 percent restore on and a 1974 129 gun cadet
Heavy Chevy is a cool option. My 1971 Pontiac Lemans GT-37 is a cousin to this car. It is a poor man's Judge, like the Heavy Chevy is to a SS.
