Also it's the first time since 2005 that the 6 car won at a non super speedway. While yes David Ragan was the last one to win in the 6 he won at Daytona and the other race he won was at Talladega. Good to see the 6 back in victory lane!

Seemed all the SHR for the most part got the cars better during the race !! And Noah is killing it for SHR for the most part.
He was pretty fast in practice and the only reason He started last as he had a very bad qualifying lap getting to deep

1st time ever that a car that throwbacks to a NON-North American racing league has ever won a Throwback weekend event. We had winners in throwbacks to drivers in Cup, Truck, NBS, Mods and even the Pro Series, CARS Tour and the Goody's DASH cars. We had winners with throwbacks to Indycar/CART, plus sprint cars, late models, USAC and Trans AM. And unfortunately, we had winners who bucked tradition by not doing a throwback. And finally, we got a winner in a Super GT throwback car... Now we need to see a V8 Supercars throwback or maybe an older ARCA throwback..

Shoutout to Justin Haley for getting Rick Ware’s first top 10 that isn’t on a super speedway.
That car has no business finishing in the top 10 on pure speed. No huge wrecks, no drafting, no fancy pit strategy, no rain, no fluke luck, just pure speed. Perfect time for Justin's Hale yes campaign in the all star race.

Yall remember 2021 when Nascar had the promo "Best Season Ever?" Well they should have done this in 2024 with the way Nascar had crazy finishes and dramatic events. Also Rick Ware Racing top 10 with Justin Haley and Top 20 for Kaz Grala.
The short tracks other than Bristol were awful, and the FOX coverage is not great.

When both Buescher and Reddick took each other out, Keselowski takes advantage and wins. Buescher wasn't happy about that slide job fail by Reddick. Hopefully the 600 will get Buescher back to the win column.

It was so great to see Terry Labonte in the booth for a good part of the race. I think it would be a good idea to keep bringing guys from that generation into the booth for a race here and there, they do bring interesting perspective about how things have changed and how they haven't.
I enjoyed it too. He didn't have a lot to say, but I liked his insights and comparisons. I also thought it kept the broadcast booth grounded and better focused on the race. And just good to see Terry there in general.

I loved Larson’s throwback too! That ~1996 Kelloggs scheme is just perfection. (I’m biased to the mid-late 90’s though since I was a kid)
And get some of the not obvious guys, like Terry. The iconic guys are always great, but I'd love to hear from guys like Ricky Rudd, Harry Gant, Geoff Bodine, Kasey Kahne, etc

The 4 most chaotic races of the 2024 season… and we’re only 1/3 of the way through it.
All tracks with either tire wear or something kind of unique about them. Atlanta being a 1.5 mile SS track, Bristol having a high tire wear package, Kansas having some tire wear and great racing, and Darlington with extreme tire wear and great strategy and racing.

Mixed emotions as an RFK fan, overjoyed for Keselowski, that win was a long time coming. But I'm upset for Buescher because to get screwed out of a win (Fair play to Reddick for apologising btw.) a week after losing out on a nailbiter? That's a lot of pain and him being pissed off is more than understandable.
That being said, RFK have found something with the new dark horse and it's only a matter of time until Chris gets back to winning ways.
We almost even had a Cole Trickle moment! I was like, DO IT Blaney! DO IT!!!
Buescher is criminally underrated in my opinion
Not even a #6 fan but seeing Brad in victory lane waving an American flag at Darlington made me proud to be an American. It was a good day for Nascar.
Considering that RFK is becoming the best Ford team and Penske is continually slipping away, I think it’s safe to say Keselowski becoming a co-owner of Roush was the best decision he made in his entire career.
It took awhile but it's finally starting to pay off for Brad.
I mean Penske did win the title the last 2 seasons without Brad, but they are declining it seems to me. RFK is on the rise.
Penske is coming off of consecutive series titles, so I don't know what you're going on about.

With the Southern 500 being the last race before the playoffs this year anything goes especially for those who needs a win. After all Erik Jones who wasn't in the playoffs still won the Southern 500 in the 43 car a couple of years ago. Yes it took luck from the Gibbs team to turn sour but still he got it done thst night.
2024 season got the best finishes so far, just imagine how the rest of it goes 👀

Rick Ware Racing delievered their first ever Top 10 on a non drafting track! Great things to see from that team. If you would've told me 3 years ago when they still fielded 4 cars, and swapped between manufactuers that they would've had this Top 10 finish at Darlington, I would've said you're crazy lol. Took my wife to Darlington for the first time for her Mother's Day weekend.
That was a 110% race in person and a beautiful day in the stands. The crowd was great all around us, and we had an amazing time. Can't even complain about traffic either.

This was crazy to watch in person! Lots of beating and banging in the back and such, absolutely fantastic!
So far this year, your average Groove Gauge score is 73.15% with 6 of the first 13 races getting 85% or higher (Daytona Atlanta Bristol Dega Kansas and Darlington)
It was really great to see “The Cat in the Hat” back in victory lane.
That Tom’s Supra wrap though ❤ I grew up on Taniya and Gran Turismo. Also, love seeing an owner (or co-owner) win.
I have not seen the groovy gage yet, but this race should be an 100%, The racing in the first two stages weren’t crazy, but they were far from boring with plenty of strategy some good racing for the lead, but the most important and memorable parts of a race are the end and the last 33ish lap were dang good.
Ok I get 95 because of the high bar this year, but I wouldn't grade on a curve, the other two 100% were just some of the best races of all time, not just this year

Every one of you has crazy recency bias, the first 95% of this race was a boring conveyor belt with no passing, only until the last 10 laps when reddick crashed into buescher did it get interesting. If that finish didnt happen, this race would’ve been a 50.

Alex Bowman has become arguably the most consistent driver in NASCAR when he used to be the opposite. From the start of the 2022 playoffs to now, he’s been unbelievably consistent with major injuries.
RWR has an alliance with RFK if I’m not mistaken, definitely shows how important those alliances can be for speed. RFK is definitely helping them out.
Chase Elliott now has the best average finish of all drivers at 9.8
and is the only driver to finish top 20 in every race
after last week, and now Reddick smashing into him, I think Buescher is about to enter into his villain arc! LOL
Chris Buscher from Prosper Texas with a population of 30,000 is really not lucky this season

Honestly, I get Buescher beeing mad but the fact that he was in the wall before beeing touched by Reddick dosn't make it a 100% reddicks fault situation to me

RWR had a really good day. It shows that Ford and RFK had their stuff dialed in. Haley in 9th and Kaz Grala in 18th.
With Truex finishing 25th today, only one driver has finished in the top 20 every race this season: Chase Elliott. Over half of those have been outside the top 10, but him still being 4th in points goes to show how having the consistency to "top 20 the field to death" still pays off even in the modern era.

The #6 number returns to Victory Lane for the first time since the Summer 2011 Daytona race. That's almost 13 full years. Glad to see that number win again.

On RUclips theres a channel called CupScene and they interview Busch and talk about the car somewhat and what could make the races better strategy related and why hes been struggling besides at Dover at Kansas a little bit but obviously this was before the race Sunday but if you see this i would recommend watching it.👍
Side note : the xfinity cars had FAR better throwback schemes collectively.. but yes, the Hendrick cars were great!

10 years ago I never thought I’d be saying that I love these 1.5 mile tracks and find the road courses and short tracks boring. But here we are.
Road courses have been showing life. Street race was awesome too. Just the short tracks are bad right now imo.
how can you find road/track courses boring, is it because there is too much passing , and because a lot of the drivers cant drive them well, so when in a oval most are the same at driving that track, i feel more skill and tactical in track racing than just passing a car on an Oval.
i watched the indy car highlights before Nascar, and it was very good, especially as they dont have all this stage bollocks and a caution every time a car spins and carries on, no need for caution , but i figure nascar want the drama and crashes to add to the round and round racing.
At least I didn’t hear the closest “stage” race ever cause you cant compare stage nascar finishes to non stage race finishes no comparison. Good for Brad. Dude works his ass off
