Personally I dont understand setting up the eSports scene before even establishing the sim and its community
It is back to front compared to the normal model but trying to build a following to achieve an instant critical mass on release for the online portal may work. LFM has been interesting in the way that there are always people to race which has made it an instant success for me

Yea nothing has got it so right so far. Have you tried LFM for AC. My iRacing sub expired so I thought I would give it a go and wow. its like iRacing but with AC physics

It's more like Race Room I'd say than ACC like race room mixed with RF2 mixed with unreal 5 engine , it really needs more content and a console release.

I'm saying this as a Closed Beta tester . . This sim seems super promising, but the $70 "Founders Edition" for a BETA seems a bit steep. The sim isn't finished, there is still so much to fix and correct. Cars are still broken in terms of handling, the tracks still need work . . . but they're asking for $70 to get some skins and your name written in graffiti on a track.
@@DaveAdams222 It's largely an optional purchase I think , from what I understand people can access online racing with free version then can optional buy stuff.
Nords is behind paywall though , seems to me like Rensport still has quite a way to go to bud up content and features.

Nothing new. Nothing better. Boring UI and totally unintuitive.
FFB is awful and not easy to clean up.
The fact that LMU cost 25 notes and has decent online racing from the offset.
Cains your PC and is not optimised. Looks washed out and needs to be sorted quick.
Not sure why it’s so far behind considering the dev time.

@@slatanek the layout matches well.with my experience in other Sims that are laser scanned , if it's not it's a nice quality model.
Laser scanning has spoiled me. I can't stand a mod track that I have experienced ls version of anymore ☹️ even though it was years ago. Damn you iRacing!

@@Zappafrank55 euhm many. Triples or VR is the way to go. You're missing out on 1 monitor, sure it works. Sense of speed and situational awareness is seriously lacking on 1 monitor. Especially in the heat of the battle when you're surrounded with 'action'

Rennsport is fun, especially driving the BMW V8 Hybrid at SPA-Francorchamps and Hockenheim!!!
Spent 4 hours with the open beta yesterday, setting up the game and testing cars and tracks (no AI, so just racing alone) Is a beta so I don't count the fails (which basically was to be ubable to do online races, try several times and all failed in practice, quali and race, not crashibg the game, more like a crash the session leaving the car in a weird stuck position till session time pass) but for the rest some cars are good and some are terrible to drive (which is a general thing as everyone used the same cars in the broken online races, probably because the other options are unplayable). The tracks are weird, some looks great and others awful (spa is the ugliest version I've ever seen) but even inside a same track some parts looks good and others are terrible. Finally the FOV is a mess, change for each car and go back to default when you change car, but also that default setting is like a massive magnifient glass and really difficult to find the correct point. In sumnary, those 4 hours I tested is all the time I will spend till next update, and see if gets better, but as per today is a bad game, not worth the time and of course no way to pay for what is now.
I find it more difficult to drive on the limit of the grip in Rennsport even after tuning the FFB settings than in ACC with the default FFB settings.
Rennsport in my opinion is already too late to the game. With AC Evo coming out this year this game will have to compete with that. Also, they don't really have anything unique or special that they have implemented in this sim.
Rennsport is targeted at Esports and racing race cars. AC Evo will be more broadly focused on driving as a whole, including racing and drifting both race cars and road cars, similar to Gran Turismo.

Does it support Triple Screens now? Last time I tried in the close alpha, it didn't, and I will not touch it again until it does.

Great , another game that includes a 3 tier entry price modal, subscription service upon release including individual item purchases with in game currency. Sounds great.
This sim will probably do ok on console with a controller but i can't see it surviving on the pc without some serious graphics and physics updates. Its just to similar to sims we already have and its still falls short compared to them.
Ah yes the star citizen of sim racing. Called it when I left that discord still not anywhere near release and pushing monetization schemes for a promise.

I just heard of it for the first time, I believe and some guy said it's already cooking for 3 years. I just saw the other video about monetization and it's shady af. They try to be the Call of Duty of racing sims, it seems. Not interested. Looking forward to Automobilista 2 and their upcoming 1.6 update.

Max Wheel Torque Capability This setting dictates the linear range that the FFB will activate to. If you find that your force feedback is clipping too much/too often, you can increase that value until it doesn't clip anymore and reduce it if you find it to rarely ever clip. It does not directly relate to your wheelbase torque capability.
Sensitivity This setting dictates the linearity of the force feedback. 100 makes the force feedback linear, numbers below 100 drive it towards a cubic curve (so very little force for small details, kinda akin to power steering on cars) and numbers above 100 will give it a more logarithmic look and as a result it will amplify smaller vibrations and road details. We'd advise to just play around with those settings a bit to find something that works best for you!
As this is is Unreal would be good to see a video comparing this to ACC.
To me, this feels like LMU thru my CSL DD 8nm
Yep it really has an RF2 feel to it maybe a bit toned down for bumps but also a bit more range than LMU , more like some of the more muted RF2 cars.
@@GamerMuscleVideos I was never able to get RF2 feeling right using Fanatec. Linear mode nerfs like 60% of the signal and the standard mode was always notchy and grainy.
Use PEAK mode and tone down the annoying FEI setting to around 40-50

Well, they did nick the FFB code (well, stealing it is the wrong word)…they bought the code by the company who wrote the code which RF2 bought for RF2 but RS decided to say they created it in house……
Can anyone play in VR? I have a Quest3, connect via Link Cable, show my PC Screen (in Quest Link VR) and click on Rennsport. The game opens in a 2D screen in VR. I tried all possible Launch Parameters in EpicGames launcher like -vr openvr, -vr oculus, -oculus, -openvr, -vr, -openxr, -vr openxr and nothing works.

God, I hate the running shadows on the walls... ACC does the same thing (both using Unreal)
Any idea how to reduce the brake pressure needed… I have to put my full weight on to brake 100% with fanatec v3 pedals. Couldn’t work out which settings to adjust

Yes streched screen on nvidia surround tripples, the core of physic is remebering rf2 i had key for few months, but they are miles away to complete game, trust me there is so much they have to do there is not enough 1-2 years...

@@georgesummer536 yep I'm not the biggest fan of unreal , I think with unreal 5 though there are lots of things the developer can do to improve things over time and unreal also keeps changing and offering new features.
Is it actually much different to how the closed beta was?
Tried the closed Beta, the graphics are horrendously blury. Cars still feel and drive odd IMO.
And the price - yesh, just nah from me.good luck to them, hopefully it gets better.
I just launched it and the ffb is really messed up for me. It tries to drive itself off the road. Super strange. I have no feeling in the center but as soon as i turn the wheel it gets heavy and lunges directly left or right. I couldnt make one turn. It gave me some message about fanatec not auto setting up but i have no idea what that means
By the description you are giving, you probably need to reverse the ffb

You have loaded up the Australian settings , you need to make sure ffb is not inverted.

Impressive how AC still can compete with new sims! How do you rank LMU in this mix of sims? Since it also have a Rf2 feel, if not the same :D
See the pop ups in the background, which is very irritating.
Tried it, felt super weird for all the cars excepted the gt4. FFB is a bit vague in the center of the wheel, can’t feel the grip of the tires. Maybe my settings are bad but I m really not convinced so far. To me, ACC, AMS2, LMU, raceroom and even gt7 drive better than this.
To be honest only AC1 and AMS1 have really good FFB with the current Sims , AMS2 has quite interesting and detailed FFB with lots of options but the physics messes it up.
Rensport with what I have briefly tried so far is easy to drive and does the basics , main issue is game lacks content / features .
@@GamerMuscleVideos the next update for AMS2 should be interesting (game changing ?xd) since it corrects the crazy wide slip angle of the cars. So no more crazy ice skating on ice… well at least that’s what they promised. Players in the beta who have been critical about this in the past said it’s much better now but, as usual with Reiza, I do not trust everything they say in their forum posts but I must admit that they are very active trying to fix the physic and adding content.
As for Rennsport, I should take some time to dial my settings, physic looks okay, at least for gt cars but I couldn’t get the FFB right with my DD+.
I don't quite understand this Rennsport game. I only do Offline AI racing now days since I don't have the dedicated time to practice like I did years ago. I guess this is an online racing ONLY game and has no AI to race against on tracks when doing offline. If I am wrong, let me know.
I did a google search and told me NO AI for offline racing.
I do like all the American Road tracks and Road Atlanta is a great track for me.
Seems to have the typical Spa Monza, and NurBurgring tracks which are are in every other game I have. The rest of the tracks don't interest me at all.
So this game would be useless for me to get for doing offline racing. I will stick with AC 1, RFactor 2, ACC, and possibly RaceRoom for my racing fun offline.

The sense of speed in this sim is completely absent.. It feels like the world is morphing towards the player rather than the player driving through it. Something odd going on there.
Probably video encoding struggling with the amount of texture grass and other details.

I generally agree that this version is quite a step up from the previous and feels better than ACC to me, but in direct comparison, AMS2 is better. Both quite similar how the tyres feel, but AMS2 has more natural understeer (GT3 and 4 are heavy cars), which is IMO more authentic. The cars in Rennsport turn in a bit too well and I also miss tyre-sounds regarding grip. Proper VR- and motion-support, AI, rain, lots more content, triple framerates with similar graphics etc. also speaks for AMS2, but I hope that Rennsport keep alive.
iRacing is like playing Black Jack, but with your grip
Rennsport has Forza Motorsport beat for being the worst new sim racing game. Rennsport does have decent handling and force feedback, but otherwise it’s a disaster. It seems very slapped together, and on an engine that is awful for racing games. They continue to add new content and tout exciting new features while the game lacks important fundamental components, and they ignore basic bugs and lack of general polish. If it succeeds at all, it will have a niche market and won’t be regarded as a serious racing sim.
I can't even set it up, I am having issues even trying to do password stuff, gutted though goodwood I never tried before, Yeah a lot of drama, Why Rennsport just don't release the game on Steam and receive kickback from sales, Off Steam, Everyone and anyone is on steam, lol...
I have not got the patients to set everything up to just then get stress, Yeah I don't understand, Asking for a password it have not even asked me to create like, Confused me And that Capture thing does not make any sense lol, Feel like they make it hard so you just end up buying the game it self, Plus a lot of people ain't going to be able to have an enjayable Sim race, Recommended a 3070ti, I only got the 3060 12gb GPU, So VR will be out of the question, And I only do Sim Racing in VR now, I can't do flat screen Sim Racing no more, Plus while I am Sim Racing in VR, My life don't revolve on my Sim Rig, Yes Sim Racing is fun but not 12 hours a day fun, Unless you have a motion rig lol, But yeah I can't be bothered to be honest doing this setting up this and that, When on Steam it is just pay and download, So yeah I would rather pay a few extra pounds on steam for a game, And all my games is on one place so to speak, Epic making a mistake not putting Rennsport on Steam, For people to use on steam, you can buy F1 on Epic and that is on steam too, Rennsport is feeling like a grift both data wise and having to pay to play, Or it feels that way to me, Why is Rennsport not on steam, I probably would buy Rennsport if it was on Steam see.....

I don't agree on 1 thing about AC, there is no sense of road texture in a straight and feels like driving on glass
That's mostly down to track mesh for a specific track and FFB settings. Or if you don't have tactile transducers or a motion rig.
@@GamerMuscleVideos Correct on the track mod as it does feel a bit better on some but simply doesn't compare to AMS2s' sense of road texture IMHO. I'm just using an R5. Hoping something like a Buttkicker will help solve it.

Tried it, great game. Great physics but full if absolute idiot drivers online. Guess thats what we get for a free game.. now i understand why i love iracing so much and take it for granted

BTW, AC is on Steam Summer Sale. If you have ACC you get it for around 1,50 $Currency. Now you can join GM talking down on all other FFB implementations 😁
But why would I play this and not the million other sims that have whatever-boring-modern-race-car-it-is-these-days ?
I feel ZERO incentive to try this. Are they best-in-class in any standard discipline like FFB, graphics, sound? Do they have a single-player campaign? Do they have a new approach to opponent-AI? Is there any progression? New unheard-of multiplayer modes or features? Is there amazing mod-support and all modders are jumping on board? Do they have classic cars that nobody else has? Do they model other car tech to a level nobody else does?
What is even their sales pitch? "It's free"? Yea, I bought an expensive wheel and pedal setup because I can't afford the price of a good game, so I'm gonna jump on whatever is free?
Or is their pitch still that you can own a car through NFTs? That was Rennsport, wasn't it?
