Radio Raheem I remember telling my husband wen I first met him 20 years ago, about him . I just loved this character from the first time I seen I him and I was a 12 year old Irish girl 😁 R.I.P Bill Nunn 😪

DTRT was definitely robbed of an Oscar. Aiello deserved his nomination for supporting actor, but Esposito (Buggin' Out) and Bill Nunn (Radio Raheem) both deserved to be nominated as well. Lee also should have been nominated as director and lead actor.
Yeah, the movie and Spike should have been nominated. And Danny Aiello should have WON the damn thing, he played the heck outta that role. AND John Turturro.
Bill Nunn said Decepticons. For those who were in high school in NYC during those years, they a crew 75 to 200 teens causing terror on the trains from 1984 to 1992. Though mostly out of Brooklyn, they had members in Manhattan, Queens and the Bronx as well. Mr. Bill Nunn is a G for that. Mr. Bill Nunn's acting skills made him G alone. Rest in peace brother.
As a white boy from Southwest Philly I was introduced to this movie from a hard-core badass black dude named Big Lou! And it was through that movie that I understood racism in all its glory and form!
We love Rosie....she is everything......what a smart woman.....I started seeing her previous appearances on shows and she is absolutely on point...about so many things.....
Don't forget the late Al Jarreau's passing, too. Provided the excellent vocals on the end theme "Never Explain Love" Written by the late Clare Fischer and the late Bill Lee conducting The Natural Spiritual Orchestra. R.I.P.
RIP Ossie Davis, Ruby Dee, Bill Nunn, and now, Danny Aiello. Four excellent actors.
And now Rick Aiello
Also Robin Harris, Paul Benjamin, Thomas Jefferson Byrd, Frank Vincent
Bill Nunn died yesterday, sadly, at 62. I see in this video that he had health problems beforehand. I'm surprised Radio Raheem was over 30! RIP.
Me too. It's kinda sad
Hanno the Phoenician 🙏🙏🙏
Hanno the Phoenician damn! He died that far back?!?! I'm sitting here thinking this man is still alive and well😢

I hear you. And now, how ironic Radio Raheem (Bill Nunn) & Sal (Danny Aiello) are sitting next to each other and are Resting In Peace together.
I just love Rosie's voice. It's still charming after 3 decades later. Shes still so adorable.
"why u cursin"

Let's slow our rolls here...Spike Lee was positively awful in his role lol
Yeah, the movie and Spike should have been nominated. And Danny Aiello should have WON the damn thing, he played the heck outta that role. AND John Turturro.

Too bad John Turturro, Richard Edson, and Steve Park were not at this reunion. They added so much to the complex mozaic of that important movie.
Don’t forget Giancarlo Esposito
As a white boy from Southwest Philly I was introduced to this movie from a hard-core badass black dude named Big Lou! And it was through that movie that I understood racism in all its glory and form!

Rosie Perez. See thats what I want to look like in my 50s, that classy.
She looks tight also.
Good on Rosie to call out that interviewer.
She is married and that was an inappropriate question (married or single). Can't believe he asked that question.
Bill Nunn was a G
" let's keep hope alive" quoting the movie hahaha
Wow Bill Nunn was thirty five when he did Do The Right Thing? I knew he was a bit older but not that much. Excellent job!
Kim Basinger did the right thing at the Oscars that year!

Damn, for a moment, I thought the host was Spike in the thumbnail pic! They kinda resemble each other around the eyes.
Why are the oscars doing this they failed to nominate the movie for best picture

This movie really is in my bones its so sad that racial tension still exists when it does get along its beautiful .
I attended this screening and discussion at the BAM Harvey Theater! Amazing event -- the closing event of the 2014 BAMcinemaFest.

Loved the movie it’s too bad some of the cast members have passed away now
Yeah about at least five of them. But look at Friday movie, about 8 done passed
This is the first time I've ever heard Rosie refer to herself as a Black woman...
That was a good last question.
I ❤️ Rosie
Such a rare and beautiful discussion about a movie that open race issue. We should all reflect on how positive they were across the board
Eric Biesecker Lamantia
I think it’s Lee’s detractors who believe he’s a racist who really need to step back and reflect with regards to the issue
This movie was good and it had a lot of funny scenes bugging out was crazy
It is so... New York-ish!
I didnt know danny aiello had just passed .. very sad!
Did spike lee ply mukee
Most of the cast are now dead. Time flies....
Bill Nunn looked not well at all. He passed not long after this about over a year later at his hometown Pittsburgh
