MacPherson Strut Removal and Replacment

Video on how to remove and replace a MacPherson strut assembly. The radio was on playing music and I don't need RUclips getting angry at me. Perform this auto maintenance at your own risk. There are some very dangerous hazards to watch out for but it is as simple as it looks. Good Luck.

as a safer alternative for those DIYers, you can also jack up the wheel hub slightly by placing it under the brake rotor, and loosen the strut nut from your hood just slightly. Then you can proceed to disconnect the rest of the wires/cables attached to the strut. Once that's done, you can go back to your hood and completely remove the nut (while car jack still jacking up the strut). The car jack will act as a spring compressor in this instance. Once the top strut nut is removed, slowly lower the jack. Much safer than playing with spring compressor tool.
